- Ed's level 2 super allows for amazing creativity and extremely long combos. In certain situations, they're also extremely optimal and practical as well. I tried to learn some of the best ones I found and land them in a real ranked match.
Ed, the troubled protégé will prove he's no longer a pawn when he enters Fighting Ground, World Tour, and the Battle Hub on February 27.
With psycho power imbued within, Ed pummels enemies with his mastery of boxing.
Owners of the Year 1 Character Pass, Ultimate Pass, Deluxe Edition, or Ultimate Edition will automatically get access to Ed when he unlocks.

Doesn't Blanka have weird fat hitboxes? Or did they fix that? Lily has/had some combos that only work/worked on Blanka.

tried it on pad and it is fairly difficult, took almost 10-20 tries but i think maining guile has helped me a bit with the spacing specific combos

those level 2 combos needs specific spacing. how practical are they in a match?
Blanka and Dee Jay are like psuedo big bodies, Blanka more than Dee Jay, so these combos may drop on them as well
hey nephew im pretty bad at street fighter right now (silver 4). Do you have any tips for getting better? I dont really know how to start combos correctly. Im trying to get to diamond at the end of the year. How do i get better?

Hi, I'm not as good as nephew but I can try and help you out a bit. Got cammy from silver to diamond 1, manon from bronze to plat 5 and marissa to plat 5 by placement matches. So I started out knowing nothing as well
For combos, I recommend focusing on the first move of the combo cause it will show it's strength and where to use it.
For cammy, Standing or crounching light punch> crouch medium punch > heavy spiral arrow is a good counter hit combo to stop opponents from drive rushing/dash forward or generally rushing you down.
Here's why. Cr light punch/ St light punch comes out on frame 4 (every character has a 4 frame move, with it being the fastest).
Meaning it's fast but it has little range. However if the opponent is rushing you down, they will be close to you so the short range is less of a issue. And it's 4 frame speed means it will probably hit the opponent before they they can hit you
On counter hit st/cr light punch gives +7. So moves with frame 7 or less start up will make a combo. Cr medium punch is exactly 7 frame start up.
Cr medium punch cancels into heavy spiral which leads to it's corresponding okizeme move and so on.
Both cr medium punch and the light punches all cancellable moves meaing it can cancel into drive impact. So when the opponent decides to drive impact, you can have a safety net to make it safer for you to counter drive impact
If the opponent decides to jump, the 2 light punches have little end lag, meaning not only can you block in time if you whiff the light punches, you can also anti air if you are fast with your dragon punch or even perfect parry.
Even if you fail to get the combo and your opponent blocks the initial 4 frame light punches, not only is it safe on block, you can do a second light punch to push the blocking opponent further from you to keep space
These are the multiple things I consider when copying or making combos
The last part you mention your goal at the end of the year. Having a goal is good but something to keep in mind. Personally I recommend *enjoying* your time in lower ranks
Lower ranks tend to have players who make simple mistakes or tricks multple times like spam drive impact, jumping too much, pressing when minus etc.
More mistakes means more chances to learn how to deal with them.
Once you get higher rank, it becomes harder to open up your opponents. So you will need more strategy on top of the things you CAN be learning at lower ranks

Yeah the non fat characters ones are pretty hard but the fat characters you should be able to get down pretty well.
this is all gone in season 2. that luke lvl 2 is basically a lvl 1 now

DI blows up a lot of his strategy. Psycho nuckle becomes useless when the oponent starts using DI.

Even though Ed is a hard character, I can see Ed getting the JP treatment, not letting him build meter during lvl 2 super or maybe reduced meter.
If they buff his jab in return, I'll take it
only thing thats different is ed isn't good so buffing him is the way to go, his jab and medium
I don't think it will because Ed's SA2 is trash for mixups or forcing an interaction. It's nowhere near comparable to JP or Rashid SA2 in that regard. I can see this staying as is because it's mainly a combo tool in the first place.
