- A Walking tour of the wild and dangerous black sand beach of Reynisfjara in South Iceland. This video is filmed on a red warning day with extremely high waves and strong winds. Despite being a spectacular place to visitors this place can also be extremely dangerous for those who get to close.
HOW TO BEHAVE AT REYNISFJARA BEACH - DO’S & DON’TS
DON'TS
Don't go anywhere near where the waves are landing. Note that sneaker waves can form even when the weather is calm.
Don't go bathing or surfing there, being a strong swimmer won't save you.
Never turn your back to the ocean (that selfie isn't worth dying for).
Don't follow others like sheep, make your own judgments of the danger you may be in.
Don't put yourself at risk by helping others. That could result in a more complex rescue mission for emergency response teams.
DO'S
Read the safety signs thoroughly and follow their advice.
Stay far from the ocean to avoid getting caught by a wave.
Be extra cautious if you have children with you and watch them closely.
Make sure you stay away from the red zone if the red light is on, and the yellow zone accordingly.

Just the thought of getting soaked at this beach chills me to the bone, the air temperature will be cold, now these people will spend the rest of the day in wet clothes. Chilling indeed. Add to this the fact that strong water movements are difficult to resist so there is real danger of being swept out into the raging (and cold) sea with hypothermia and / or drowing being realstic outcomes.
Some people will never learn.
That guy in the beige jacket was trying to become a news story.
I was there early that day. The surf was incredible and the light was red. I don’t think many people even stop to read the sign or know what the lights mean. Incredibly gorgeous scenery but yes, dangerous if you choose to ignore what is right before your eyes.
That old guy was very close to dying. He could barely stand up. No way he would have been able to swim out.
When they dont take the time to read the notice red warning signs and the outcome could end up worse.
The outcome horrendous because they dont and wont get it.
Many times ive said it about just how dangerous and the serious risks that could happen to anyone doing this trying it like there life's means nothing to them.
Are they tired of living with showing no Respect or value of there own life's.
Doing this its not and never ever meant to be fun.
Another croud playing around with Fire.
There not and never wont be indestructible invincible unbreakable.
Then its far to late.
Playing with Death means nothing to them till he comes to collect.
There life's isn't any value to them as thats why they do this.
They dont think of the serious dire consequences.
Because they didnt think first of reading the warning signs.
Children learn about Stop Look and Listen.
Adults should learn about Stop Look and Read.
Whys that so hard for them to do.
And people say Children dont listen when they should.
Adults dont read learn listen understand when they should.
And the outcome never ever ends with anything good.
Why do they mess around with there life's like its nothing to them of no value.
Look at this video and see.
We were there one week later, was much the same. Very cool place on Earth! Thanks for the video!
Mother Nature reminds me of Scrappy Doo sometimes.

The Running of the Water Bulls !
Navigation systems for cars, a quick look into the smartphone everywhere... modern tourists go out with a fully comprehensive insurance-mentality, as they learned it in kindergarten once and currently on cruiseships e.g.
The instincts are gone, the respect often either...
The impressions shown here normally belong into our childhood, when we are about ten or twelve years old: gaining basic experiances on a smooth beach with smaller waves, and the parents are close, to take you out in case of understimating the floods.
Learning this on Iceland, facing northatlantic stormwaves... it suddenly could become the wrong place for childish behaviour.
So incredibly beautiful, I can’t wait to visit here but I’ll be super careful and not get close
Sail due south from this beach and it's open ocean until you hit Antartica.
...one of them fell and needed help, but his colleagues continued to run away quickly without looking back
the price of idiocy.
In all honesty those guys were absolute idiots they went out way too far when it was already a red light warning. The guy who fell was lucky he didn't get swept out!
timestamp?
the rocks are amazing
Raw nature at its best and fools is never a good idea
Beautiful
Mother nature 1- Humans 0.
Bucket list ❤
Have been to that beach many times. We are routinely warned about the sneaker wave danger, but so many visitors are illiterate.
They only know the weves from videogames and think there is a pause button......
They where not able to see the sign. A wave overturned by another wave is very clear to see it must become bigger than other waves.

Can you fly drone here?

This beach is not deadly, you call bhartiya people who do carving on stone,
They will do some carving and make stairs by hand on stone, people can stand on mountain and enjoy waves of sea.
In bhrat people are expert in design and carving on stone.
Government can put tickets, who ever wants to see from top.
