imam hussein, was basically the jesus of islam. died for islam, lived islam, practiced and preached islam, even the bible told us about the imams, referred to them as the "12 princes" from the prophet abraham's son ishmael. so, imam hussein is basically the jesus of islam. even more to this, there are 11 other imams who are worth respecting and learning from.

I am muslim and I have never seen this story in Quran, I would like some references and quotations from the holy book or hadeeth etc. As a sunni muslim we do not believe in blood as a reason for leadership, and we believe in democracy. I have no problem with shia muslims, they are our brothers and sisters, we have our disagreements as the next thing.
