In this video you can see the copmparsion of the effect of a 19th century muzzleloading bullet and a modern 7,62x39 round in ballistic gelatine.
Ebben a videoban egy rövid tesztet láthat, mely során összehasonlítjuk egy 19. századi elöltöltő fegyverből kilőtt gömblövedék és egy modern 7,62x39 lőszer lövedékének hatását ballisztikai zselatinban.
After being shot once in Afghanistan in the leg (clean thru, just flesh thank God) by a 7.62x39 and once again in Iraq in the chest with either a 7.62x39 or 7.62x54r (My vest stopped this round, Thank God again). I am actually more terrified of the round ball. The round ball might be slower but its wound channel is just horrifying and with such a large round that becomes larger when hitting flesh it just crushes everything in its way. If you where shot in the leg or arm by a 7.62x39 and it hit bone 9/10 times you arent going to lose that limb but if you get hit by that round ball it will shatter so much of the bone into so many tiny pieces I really doubt rather youd walk or throw ball again.
Ouch.. i feel sorry bro. Thank you for your service.
Im glad you lived to tell the tale man
😦👍 yeah the round ball can cause some damage ay.
Thats a VERY nice Augustin you have there, I've never seen one in such great condition. (Its a military musket that was used in a war after all!). Nice test.
Greetings from Austria!
that poor sks got castrated :(
Though comparing gel to flesh or even non-human flesh to human flesh is something many shooters still argue over in terms of accurate testing...this video says a lot about the ability of a muzzleloading gun. Most people consider muzzleloading firearms to be incredibly obsolete, yet they've never seen the kind of damage they can do. There are quite a few advantages in terms of reloading and other practices...particularly the possible to carry extra pre-packed cylinders.
those of you in california or new york take a good look at the future
They used to say range (velocity) increased once the cannon had warmed up a bit.
SC 14:00 , Im not really wondering if the repeating system removed from the carbine and the weapon unable to do the self-loading procedure!
This just a castrated repeating SKS carbine....
Outstand video. Keep them coming.
Great channel. Greetings from Texas.
No Boredout454 you musta had Jesus with you! That was no luck. 7.62x39 and 7.62x54R both tend to key hole/tumble and do create bad wounds. And if it was 7.62x54R silver tip- u really had god with you cause that goes threw most level 3 body armor! That 54R is a monster round man- I don't see how anyone could survive a hit from it
i read stories in that many levels of clothing could stop a musket ball at certain distance. To be exact i heard a story of one man got killed by a musket ball withouth penetrating his clothes .
I didn't understand one word of that lol but i cirtainly got the point ! 😳. WOW!
Boredout funny because everyone I saw take arm or leg shots with 7.62x39 was horrific and def bone smashing wound channels. if the ak/sks round hits any bone it was a nasty sight ive also seen them go through and through so it just depends on luck same with a 45 round ball. Round balls dont do so much more damage than modern weapons id say they probably do just as good.
Please do some English captions over this video if you get a chance thank you
from one who does not speak the native languidge of our host. if you would be so kind , could you provide a translation in english, where praticable, about the lock on the musket. this lock is new to me and i would like to know more about it.
why is that sks castrated?
Gun laws in Europe state that if u want what they call a big bore rifle it has to b single shot. You'll see AR-15's with straight pull bolts. So by taking the gas system off the SKS you make it single shot.
haha, why did you apologize your expression there? Great video!
yeah that sks didn't cycle, it has no gas system! great video, though
Micah they can't have semi auto anything that's why it's been modified
British things
Legal! Qual o nome do mosquete? Poderia me dizer? Obrigado.
(portuguese)
Obrigado!!! :D
Good job!
Why is the short stroke system missing on the SKS?
because they don't have freedom in Europe.
Yeah Europe has broken people that are very stupid about gun laws
Man o man your Spanish is real hard to understand! 😆

I'd rather get hit by the AK any day.
Wow, this guy's English is terrible, I can barely understand him must be from one of those northern states.
Sometimes a youtuber needs to learn to shut up and show us results. SMH.
