  • Discover how to install and use the Maxi-Cosi 2wayFix Base.
The Maxi-Cosi 2wayFix provides the safest way of transporting your child, enabling rearward-facing travel from birth up to approx. 4 years. The 2wayFix is part of the 2wayFamily providing the perfect anchorage for the Pebble Plus and 2wayPearl car seats. The 2wayFix is very easy to use, since it works with the ISOFIX click-and-go installation system, which also provides visual and audio confirmation when you have correctly installed the car seat.

Cat got your tongue? How about slowing down a little and talking through what you’re doing a bit.

Maxi-Cosi I have managed to fix mine with cutting the cables off. I don’t have time to send my 2way family base away to repair since the baby is due anytime now on. Unless you send me a new one! I am in the UK.
Everybody has the same issue and now I know why. The two yellow iso-fix arms have two very thin cables running both sides to the sensors so the light shows green when the arms are installed properly. These two cables can be seen when the arms are fully extended.
The reason the light may remain red after installing the chair is the following:
Since the arms are moving there is a reeling wheel on both arms to keep these two cables tight away from pinching them with the wheel when the chair gets removed. Well this is a terribly unreliable design since my cable on one side was broken because of this reeling wheel got stuck and broke the cable. Ridiculous! I don’t understand who can approve anything like this in terms of safety?
I know you guys deliberately wanted to design a week part of the chair so the chair gets broken at some point generating new sales with it rather than second hand sales.
I am not buying maxi-cosy ever again.
