I am in the podcasting space and I love my Rodecaster Pro 2 and RodeCaster Duo. They are both great for the podcasting scene. I also use the Shure SM7B. My issues are I hate Rode Microphones and Headphones. Been using the Beyerdynamic 770 Pro 80 ohs and the Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro X headphones. You are so right in this video. You have to find the gear that fits what you do.
TC-Helicon has videos on their channel talking about it. The GoXLR2 is in development. It's probably not imminent, but I'd suspect that a 2025 release is very possible.
You provide another great example that some creators simply buy a mic or interface for the optics. Poor mic placement, untreated room and lack of editing or EQ will make the best tech sound trash 🗑️
Name a product that can do everything the goxlr can do both physically and digitally that is cheaper than the goxlr…. I’ll wait. The answer is there isn’t one.
...elgato Stream Deck + and XLR Dock Bundle $300, goxlr $400, and that is just one that comes to mind and there is more... I think you need to rewatch the video and listen to what i said about the goxlr being old and showing it's age but still asking for the same price... pretty soon they are not going to be able to keep up with customers need now a days. The ports on it alone shows how they desperately I need a new version and knowing the company it will end up being $500/$600, just like shure did with the sm7db. It is about to be 2025 and content creation has become more mainstream and people have access to better technology to accomplish it. There is no reason for a company to have overpriced products like that, regardless on how it performs, when newer companies are making newer products that do the same thing for cheaper.
@agentshenron with the wavexlr i can hear the processing just fine but I agree i hate it too and as far as onboard DSP i personally never been in need of it but I know how some people can benefit from it but as for me, my pc is really good so it's not an requirement as it would be for others. Yes the goxlr is showing its age do to the types of ports used, now a days lots of of people want at least 2 xlr ports (not everyone though) but they are playing catch up with the software so I think a price drop is warranted, but a lot of people feel like it should stay at its current price. The beacn Studio, in my opinion, is overpriced due to the lack of features and controls that are found on other devices, regardless of what the device can do, what is does offer, to me, isn't enough to warrant the price that it currently is regardless on how good it does what it's supposed to do, again just my opinion. Now, as far as recommending a device that does everything you're asking, there is none, at least to my knowledge. I covered in another video about the fact that companies are clearly missing the mark when it comes to what a creator/streamer wants. It's always this device only does 2-4 things but is missing like 5 other things, etc... and it makes it seem like companies don't pay attention to customer or community feedback that actually makes sense, but they say they "listen." If I had to really pick you would probably have to have 2 separate devices like the beacn mix/streamer deck plus(for audio routing and submixes) then like the beacn mic/Studio or Focusrite/BRIDGE CAST ONE for mic dsp but even then it can get costly if you go with companies that purposely, target streamers and gamers, because they know they can get the way with it. Typically, content creators who are not those types are a little bit smarter with their money and shopping, statistically speaking
Due to all of the comments I have received, I have a 1hr long video being rendered now for tomorrow that I will pin. People will hate my tone and what i say but I don't care anymore, I'm done with this topic and product.
the mic for this video was the synco Mic D1 going into the FiFine SC3 set to about 30%. in post, using Davinci resolve, I added a background noise removal to remove fan & pc noise then added a echo removal from crumplepop. I hope this was helpful.

With talk of a GoXLR 2 and what the community wants is a nice thought 😊.

The online i device i see that can replace a goxlr hardware wise seems to be the Roland Bridgecast X
Good video, SHJ! I'll be looking out on either Elgato Wave XLR or Go XLR.
Stream Deck + and Wave XLR are a great combo if you only need one mic.
The stream deck plus will get a upgrade module to link a XLR mic on it. No Wave xlr needed anymore
I definitely need cheaper mics! About to start a podcast.

@@agentshenron like i said, the video will explain and even answer what you just said...
I got a goxlr mini brand new for $139.99 heck yeah I bought it.
Do u get the sound of the the mic on this video by post processing or its just hardware?
