I walked down the aisle to Pachebel’s chorus and back to Trumpet Voluntary. The wedding was in an exquisite church with a hundred year old organ. We had a wind quintet at the reception, 2 days before Christmas. They played medieval and Renaissance carols.

This is St Joseph's Cathedral in Buffalo NY. I've been to several weddings at St Joe's. The organ is a Hooks and Hasting built in 1876 for the Philadelphia Centennial Exposition.
The bride is absolutely lovely. The organist and trumpeter, flawless. Bridesmaids modestly dressed, except no woman in this church has her head covered except the bride ( but shoulders were prioritized? I saw that at an Orthodox wedding). Can't tell if this is a Roman Catholic Church(looks like it) or an Episcopal one but no one genuflects here. May they be blessed with all happiness.

Its was just great music playing and the tune was great to listen to, the bride looked just great, a real good looking woman, its was well done and everything about looked good, a nice setting.

The only place I know of where women cannot bare their shoulders is Westminster Abbey. This goes for everybody...wedding party and guests. But since only members of England's royal family, members of the Order of the Bath and their children can get married there, none of us have to worry about it. However ladies, if Prince George should happen to invite you to a wedding there, be sure not to wear a strapless dress! They won't let you in! BTW, this wedding looked absolutely amazing!! So beautiful!! I also walked down the aisle to Trumpet Voluntary.

Very nice trumpet; good chops and endurance! When the wedding party is large the individual behind the trumpet as to be prepared to keep it going until the bride and dad gets all the way in. This is great trumpet playing and a beautiful wedding.
Beautiful wedding and we've watched it so often you people almost feel like family! :) Speaking of "family," the second groomsman sure looks a lot like Lenny Montana, the actor who played Luca Brasi in The Godfather! Funny too, in the novel, Luca gets involved with an Irish redhead girl so seeing this fellow paired with the readhead really made the resemblance even more! :) A shame people have to be so insulting with their comments on what's supposed to be someone's happiest day! I couldn't agree with you more! Very few women have the beautiful decolletage to even wear a strapless dress/gown, and never ought one be worn in a Church. If you must wear one, do it at a party. Or wear a lovely lace bolero over your wedding gown and remove it for your reception. This bride had it right, she won't be looking at her photos 25 years down the road and say, "What was I thinking?"!

I do love a more traditional wedding! The modesty is wonderful in most of these women. It is very cheap looking to have a bride who is, often times, showing more than she should, and furthermore, it just doesn't look pretty. The same goes for the bridesmaids.. Make them look pretty, and elegant. I've always loved the Trumpet Voluntary, as it is a very regal and beautiful march, but this is the first time I have heard it in a wedding! I must say, I am not a fan of the catholic traditions, but that aside, it was pretty good.

We all do it differently. I was the daughter of a man of the cloth - there were no less than 8 men in dog collars (assorted relations and other "priests") at our wedding in 1983. My brother was a cathedral organist and I appreciate music. Tongue in cheek, I chose to walk out to The War March of the Priests..........
Very nice but a blatant musical blunder at 2:06. Also I don't quite understand why a wedding photographer uses a still camera when he/she could just shoot videos and take the still shots from there. A few tweaks I would have done would be to wait for the "rugrats" to have "cleared" before sending the bride down the aisle. Also, I would have requested a more subdued (muted) trumpet until the bride was visible, then full blare. Best of luck to the couple.
