- Nintendo surely makes consoles with no flaws whatsoever right? Right? I wonder if there is any way to test to see if a video game console can explode. That would surely be wacky but I don't think Nintendo would let that slide...

The New 3DS being able to run Xenoblade is still wild to me lmao
Well, it did have 4 times the clock speed and double the RAM! While not many games took advantage of it (at least not without homebrew), it did allow it to do a few party tricks, such as full speed Playstation 1 emulation! To be honest, I still find it absolutely wild how that's even possible.

The 3DS Minecraft stopped getting updates in 2019 due to the console ending.
Actually the console ended production in Sept. 2020, so the actually died before the system was discontinued lmao
The last game to release on 3DS was a week before the eshop shut down

it actually stopped because bedrock edition updates couldn't really be handled on hardware that wasn't really made for MCPE at all..

It's not common, but not the rarest either. I have one as well though it is scratched up and a fingerprint magnet.
If it dies, don't worry, you can actually swap out the cover by removing a few screws (the one for the top cover is hidden under some stickers) and then placing it into a different N3DS XL.

Backstory on Minecraft For New 3ds, It was only made because Microsoft wanted the game on all devices. Minecraft 3ds edition wouldn't exist if it weren't for Microsoft. This is the same for the Wii U.

i unironically played 270 hours of this back in the day, so i have a weird emotional attachment to this version of minecraft specifically.

I used to play Minecraft on there a bunch. As long as you keep everything on low settings, youll be fine. I used to make adventure maps, though no complex builds
You can also play Terraria on the 3DS, i know this because my brother had a 3DS, and the cartridge for Terraria, fun times
This reminds me of when my friend and I had an old Minecraft build running on a raspberry pi. We inserted 8,000 blocks of TNT via a Python editor and set it off.
Surprisingly, the game didn't crash! It took 10-15 minutes to render each frame, but it did get there eventually.
