I highly recommend figuring out which type of game you are most interested in. Could be Fantasy, which in that case I'd recommend checking out D&D, but if you like Spy games I'd recommend Trinity Continuum. If you want something like Percy Jackson (what I call Urban Mythology) I'd recommend Scion. If you want to try Urban Fantasy (i.e. Modern Day setting with Vampires, Werewolves,etc...) I'd suggest Chronicles of Darkness or Curseborne. D&D has Adventurer's League at stores which is kind of like a club that happens every Wednesday at most local game stores (call ahead to check if your store has one). If you want to try other games I highly suggest trying to find one you like then joining the Discord group for that game company. I like Onyx Path Publishing and when I want to find games I tend to go to their discord group and ask around. I hope this all helps.Let me know if you need something more specific.
