The Whole Enchilada is well over 27 miles long and drops close to 8,000 feet. I think it's one of the best shuttle runs in the world! The terrain goes from high alpine to the desert floor and as you get further down the terrain gets more technical. My favorite section of this ride starts about 24 miles in. Ride along with me and Brian Lopes as we check out this ultimate run! Спорт
Proving yet again, it's the rider, not the bike! Incredible skills from both.....and I love the "Hi!" and "Thanks" trail courtesies.
You know, Brian Lopes has been out of the public eye for some time but this video reminded me of what a phenomenal rider he is. So damn fluid, I love his style.
B Lopes! Dam I use want to be him. He is such a Legend from BMX to MTB! Then ride one of greatest trails know to MTB world. Wow! Some of the younger generation may not understand. Jealous as hell! If I see video with you wearing a cowboy hat next riding with Tomac you'd complete dream rides for me hahaha. Great Video and great skill Jeff! 🤘✌
The all around champ mr lopes. Cool to see him still ride like a beast
You can tell Brians been playing on his Moto-trails bike, He got some skills there. Well done Brian, you may be the one guy that made Jeff tiered from riding constantly through the ENTIRE ENCHILADA ! well done boys.
Such a great video. You guys make it look so easy. We rode this yesterday and I finally cleared the section at 3:59 on my hardtail and thought of you. That was intimidating.
hardtail party nice job!!!
That big up move is SERIOUSLY impressive! 🤘🏼🤯🤘🏼
thanks dude
Two legends living the dream! Nice riding, what an amazing looking trail!
Wow, serious skills, I replayed Brian climbing that step up like 10 times, the speed he popped up it was amazing.
What a beautiful ride, such a nice trail and seeing Brian ride is just sheer joy. He rides with such ease and lightness, can only imagine how it might feel to ride this way. One can really see that he is able to read the trail like the lines in a book and truly anderstands it. Thanks for the great video
Nice riding Jeff. Watching Brian put that rear wheel exactly where he wanted it was cool. It was quite nice to hear how you tried to say hi to everyone that you saw. Makes for a great day for all.
Man, that was a fun video to watch. I did the enchilada about a month ago so it was super cool to see someone of your caliber ride it. Love the videos man.
Just did this two weeks ago. Really cool to see you guys ride this like it's no big deal!
Brian Lopes is the man! He makes super hard tech look so easy! Still one of the best riders in the world even thought he’s retired. Great footage guys , I’ll be heading out their soon for my fix before the winter comes. Cheers lads!...
Well done Jeff! Been a fan since the old New World Disorder days! Ridden the Whole Enchilada twice and looking for a 3rd. Appreciate you coming to the UP and riding my local area in Marquette. Keep pedaling!
Im sooo jealous. It's been years. Time for the Pilgrimage! Thanks Jeff for the share! Great vid compilation!!!!
Would not only love to do this ride, but with the skills that you two have!
Fantastic video! Thanks for sharing!
B Lopes smart moves so liquid! Effortless. Thanks for sharing from Texas!
Awesome video. The W.E. is absolutely my favorite mtb trail in the world, ridden it 6 times and is never boring. Looking forward to Moab-2020.
Super sweet. Always fun watching you ride 👍👍
Been there! Done all the tricky parts back home in the UK now
Didn’t have the energy to do that last step up. Riding solo had to real it in ! When I got to the natural spring I drank 3 litres of water ! Great to see you legends riding there even if it was a year later !!
So unbelievably smooth. You guys make it look too easy.
Awesome ride! Rode it a few weeks ago. Nice navigating the Snotch, and that rock where you said you don't know why you like it so much, is because when you ride the right line it just works! I love that part. Glad you got to ride the WE bud!
Strait Up, Two Poet's In Motion in some of America's Hardest Terrain! Love seeing the Camaraderie between those Two exceptional MTBikers!
Love it! Hadn’t ridden that since 2012, can’t wait to go back next year!
Brian is a smooth operator.
DAMN55117 he sure is
LOVE this trail! Good job guys!!
Oh man, you two have been two of my favorite riders for many years! I'll be taking my son up there next summer on a mini-mega tour of mtb spots, starting in Tx, to Angel Fire, then Trestle, then to Moab for the Whole Enchilada. Rad as hell :)
Voodoo Jef awesome!!!
I've heard the name Brian Lopes many times but never saw the guys face, the guy clearly knows a thing or two about trials. He's clearly a boss!
Thank you for taking us along the tide... the trail and it look fantastic! Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to ride because it requires skills I do not have.
Amazing hobby.
Keep it up!
Top to bottom is a special ride for sure! I've done the whole thing once and partial a few times. Always fun!
I love the last four miles of that lower section on the way in. It's one of the best sections of trail in the country IMO.
None of them jokers had a clue a straight up legend was just casually strollin by while they stand around ha
It's a real treat to watch a legend like Brian lopes ride like he did back in the day he ain't lost a thang yo
cellphonenut he’s amazing.
Jeff, that was some fantastic riding. Especially at the bottom of Porcupine Rim. That was a serious climb up the ledge in the gully. Been there. That is tough.
Good for you two. I've ridden the WE in two sections. I tried the whole thing in September and those trees at the top of Burro Pass is where altitude sickness got me and I spent 30 mins throwing up!!
Jason Senior ouch. That altitude is crazy
Brain and you jeff are in the same era, Well he was winning races and Iconic world cup race records, you were showing the next steps in trials skill levels in events. Great to see him in your Video. I was watching Brian race BMX and working his way up in the pro ranks, Brain seemed to help the MTB sport by bringing in BMX skills to DH and Slalom with the help of EC and more. great video. I am trying to talk my Son into riding this with me this year my self.
Great to see Brian in action! He is so smooth and fast. His book, Mastering Mountain Bike Skills, he did with Lee McCormack has helped my riding tremendously!! 👍
This one is so awesome Jeff
Man you guys were killin it! What beautiful country.
Awesome video man! Super cool watching it and in a way re-living the ride... I was just there 2 wks ago. Super epic
thanks for riding with me
You are Riding with the Best in the World Brian Lopes Ma Man!! He makes Gnarly Trails look so easy Yewwwwwwwww!!!!!!
Best ride skills since long. Nice nice nice!!
Sick ride! Can’t wait to go there!
Very cool watching you guys ride one of my favorite trails. I'm a bit bummed seeing you guys clean the two tricky spots that always stump me though. Lol!
It's a pleasure to see quality riders like this! Brian Lopes(do you have Portuguese family?🤔)
Jeff, showing everyone there how it's done on LPS at 3:48 !! You should have stopped and done tutorial sessions! Likewise, well done at the lower crossing at 10:26 !! I haven't ridden Porky in years now and watching you ride it makes me wonder how I was able to get thru and clean so much of it without crisis when I did it (dah, I was much younger then)! Now you need to go take the short-cut up The Portal Trail (i.e. in reverse/uphill) :-)
Such a great video! Thanks for uploading
Joseph Davis thanks for checking it out.
Lopes is still smooth as hell. I remember when he was at Ray's for a big race, he beat my time by 40 some seconds! Cool to see you two hitting the trails together! Keep shredding gentleman!!
he's so damn fast
That was sweet! Nice to see Brain Lopes and you both just kill on the way down.
It’s so fun following him!
Jeff Lenosky I bet it looked like a lot fun keep up with the rocking vids, I truly enjoy them from your rides to the bike give always to the kids and to see there face light up when you tell them that there getting new bikes.
I was in Moab / Fruita and Colorado (Durango, home of the all-time great(est) Ned Overend) in 2010. I did not have the chance to do the Whole Enchilada due to snow up top, but we did UPS + LPS + Singletrack and this is still the best trail(s) I had the chance to ride in 28 years of mountain biking. :)
On the bucket list. Fantastic riding
You gotta ride it some day, it's awesome!
So glad I found your channel. Not sure why it hadn't been recommended until recently. I love the technical stuff, especially seeing someone my age slaying it. Maybe I'll see you sometime around Pisgah, or possibly 2020 Sedona festival if you plan on being there?
I’ll definitely be in Sedona,Lee’s rude and stoked you found me.
I have always wanted to ride the whole enchilada! 🌯 It was fun to see you ride with Brian Lopes. He came to ride with us at the Griffin Bike Park grand opening.
You are such a superbly skilled rider, Jeff. This is the type of terrain that really shows it. I feel like here in the states, trials is under appreciated, and that it's your trials skills that you lean into. I'm always amazed by how you can climb anything even though you are a normal sized 40 year old man, not a 115 lb jockey. You are the ambassador of US Trials, as far as I know. Keep doing your thing and I hope to see more people taking note. We need more trials in the US, especially with the kids, and with the trails getting more extreme and people taking short cuts. People need to learn basic bike handling and balance, myself included. I think it would be cool if you could do a series on basic skills that should be mastered before trying hard stuff. Walk before run. Would love to hear your thoughts on what you feel are the core fundamentals lacking from so many people's ridings. Thanks for the inspiration.
Sebastian Nai thanks Sebastian, trials is awesome. Glad you liked the video.
Super technical Sections are the bomb💣. Especially in Clips.
Davis Clark I love the extra commitment
Looks like an awesome ride Jeff I would like to try that soon
I rode the WE Oct 2nd 2019. Cleaned most of the sections you showcased however did not do the huck to flat but instead rode down the slab like you demonstrated and I could not get up that almost vertical four foot step up you cleaned and your buddy made look easy. The steep section just before the step up is a lot steeper than your video is able to demonstrate but is very rideable. I almost forgot I could not make either switchback on the Notch but I did clean the last very tough section you filmed. Overall great challenge but if I did it again I’d just shuttle to the top of Kokopelli or the upper porcupine as everything below Hazard is by far the best part of the trail culminating in an amazing last 4-5 miles. You are clearly an incredibly talented rider and I want others to know they should not get disheartened if they cannot clean all the tech sections you made look easy.
Great video...Lopes is the MAN!!!!!!!!
U have opened my eyes to how much I suck as a rider ... Thanks!🤣
NOOOOO C,mon Brian has been a sponsored rider for 40 years. FORTY!
What about you Jeff? You're an excellent rider as well!👍 Making that trail appear so easy is quite a feat for us mediocre guys!!!!😂
Cool to see Brian wear Assos gear. Been loving there MTB gear
Rode the WE about four weeks ago & got caught in the biggest rain/lighting storm that I'd ever been while riding the rim it was pretty scary but good times were had when it passed. Watching this video brought back some pretty good memories😎🤘
that sounds pretty epic!
WoooooooW !!!
I can't wait to get my fitness level back up to where I could actually do something like this before I die!
Nice riding man, and everybody looks to be having a hoot now back to watching the rest of the video LOL
That exposed switchback at 3:55 is no joke. My friends and I walked the first 180, then rode the 2nd one. It's scary as hell in real life. Pause it at 4:26 and you'll see what it feels like you're going to fall off if you don't make that first turn. Good place to use a friend or 3 as spotters.
Wow! Slow down, I'm freakin out just watching the video. hahaha. Well done, thanks for sharing! I'm ready to trade in my road bike for a mountain bike. Not for the extremes like you guys did, but rather for some "normal" trail rides and bike packing. Would love to give that a try, just not sure where to start with a bike. So many different options.
Nice trails and skilled riding. Maybe you could do a video about the log challenge move. Looks extremly cool.
I’ll be there in one week! Perfect time to see this video! Hope you can make the Techy Challenge in RVA in few weeks:)
Shane Albertson thanks Shane, I can’t make it unfortunately 😞
Brian Lopes! MTB LEGEND!!!
100 percent
@@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss I always wanted to ride like Lopes or Hans Rey! You're definately in that conversation too!
Those other riders on the trail prob had no idea that they were in the midst of Legends! You and Brian ride butter smooth!
Great stuff!
Would you care to comment on your camera gear you use for recording your content? GoPro? Gimbal usage?
Thanks for posting!
some serious sketch and edge of death cliffs there. such a beautiful danger.
That’s a dream ride for sure...
Great job!
Enjoyed the video!
Lopes the LEGEND!!!
So awesome!
The GoPro just doesn’t do the last 4 miles justice. Great video
Tommy Delgado that’s my favorite part
Nope....no camera shot ever does. Some epic shit down there.
This is so money! Thanks Jeff.
Joey James thanks Joey
Our "backyard" is not too bad ... beautiful ✔👍
I remember when Porc was the only thing on the menu. Now it is a full course. Well done, esp on the snotch.
Masterclass
Great video.
Don Hooper thank you Don!
Been a year since i was there...love that trail. Next year maybe?
doug scribner hope so!
I love Brian Lopes
Did you ride captain ahab too? Heading from the uk soon to ride this for the 2nd time this year. Rampage on the 25th & enchilada on 26th. Could only get to kokopeli in May due to snow up top so be good to do the full thing 😎
Not every day you get to ride with MTB hall of famer. Now get ahold of Ned, JT and Julie for your next video. Great ride and an excellent vid.
Don Novicki thanjs Don!
awesome, I had made it through TWE without crashing until the very at the tunnel...lmao...good riding
Brian is so light on his pedals.
WOW, you guys have some AMAZING skills, u sure put your experience and gifts to work there.. Do you use carbon wheels for terrain like that? Sounds like I-9 hubs?
Must see the unedited version! I think it would be cool if you did more 1 shot trail rides with no editing or cuts. It's always awesome to follow your line choice and see how you progress throughout the trail
I have an unedited video coming soon. You'll like it!
On my bucket list want to go in a year or so
It is such a great collection of trails and ecosystems. UPS and LPS and the Rim are fabulous but that long section of double track between them is not so great. You guys were smooth on all the tough bits!
eco systems? Looks like a frigg'n desert to me. You want eco systems go to the PNW, or the midwest or north west.
It seemed a path more suited to goats than to bikers ... great Jeff as always, both really good.
A video on those log challenge skills would be nice so I can get them.
Hey Jeff, the bike you' guys ride in this video, are they 27.5 or 29 wheels?
Please I hope you get to see my question here.
Thanks for the cool video man! In enjoy watching how skillful youbguys are.
🤘🏼🤘🏼you guys are monsters
thank you!
I would be walking my bike through so many sections it wouldn’t even be funny!
Blows my mind you only have 50k followers. You're an absolute animal man
Matt Mac I don’t even have 50k yet!! Lol. I need people like you to spread the word and like and share the vids. I really appreciate it!
I'd be walking most of those sections or just eating it. Gotta get out on the trails.
i hate you jeff!! why its look like effortless for you?? you guys is a beast!!! nice video dude 🙌👏
Thank you!
So nice
Ricky Reinalter thanks!
