Meredith Bull has an excellent voice which I can listen too for hours. The synths and mixing are perfect as to be expected from LukHash. This might not be exactly a remix but more of a reinterpretation. But an excellent one. Both thumbs up! I hope we someday get a real LukHash-Style music video to this song!

And curiosly while it is a german TV series it is only available with english subs...??? Some facts about the song: It has absolutely nothing to do with Japan. It was created by the german pop band alphaville in 1984 and is about the drug and prostitution scene at the berlin train station zoo in the 1970ths. "Big in Japan" was slang of the scene for leaving the scene. Considering the lyrics it is actually a pretty dark and sad song. For more informations I suggest reading the book "Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo" = "We kids from train station zoo" , a priced docudrama about the scene at the time.

Instead "Big in Japan" is the writer's own metaphoric, and it means that they would have been more successful in life if they lived somewhere else, like in Japan (which was at that time an exotic place and absolutely unreachable for common people, i.e. a mystic place ).
