    When doing lunges, many trainers are now saying it is better that have the knees go past the toes.

      It's not necessarily better, it just hits a different part of the muscles on the legs. :)

      Knees over toes makes your knee “crack” when you crouch, we as human beings not supposed to do that we built for going up stairs and climb mountains
