    Nice work. I am currently working on various wind turbine animations and you can imagine how heavy the scene gets especially when every single bolt and nut has thread lol. Enjoyed your video.

      You should sell your model on Turbosquid if your Uni allows it and you have ownership rights.

    Excellent work!! However, i am not sure how you can power on three motors inside of the model because it is runing about 15 rpm. i am not sure if they have any brushless system for power rotation

      that is absolutely insane!!!!! i have just started using free cad and i thought i was getting quite good i cant believe how much detail you went into. down to the O rings and grease nipples i am blown away. how much of this was hand drawn? did you have to individually draw each component and then copy it and move into place?

    Didn't know turbin has individual pitch motors per blade - thought all 3 blade pitch is geared and controlled like airplane propeller's pitch control.
    Is there reason for such individual motor setup? Could it be a coaxial shaft for that size being impractical?

    Great video, good job. It would be easier to follow, if you showed the big picture every now and then. I feel like you jump from subcomponent to subcomponent for explosive views, but its hard to see where each subcomponent is in the whole system, because you immediately move onto the next zoomed in view.

    i have not visited a real one, i hope you do, but now a days we should find away to narrow down the structural design and cost. I got one question for you, whats the difference between savionus, gyromill efficiency compared to this version. I'm try to learn about another way to narrow down the cost as per my edu project, but still its all about budget and cost reduction which is a real a challenge. And thanks again for providing an idea on how is it inside.

    Nice! thank you, now I know what's inside of those wind mills! Some Thoughts & Questions: why the separate conventional gearbox (which btw perhaps would be even better with herringbone gears? ) Wouldn't it be feasible to put everything, including the generator on the main propeller axis, thus everything in-line, whereby the classic gearbox would be replaced by 1 or 2 planetary gearboxes, similar to those that are mounted on the propeller side? Also, the brake could (should?) in that case on that main axis as well. The brake system and also the propeller blade pitch are depending on the presence of electricity, therefore, am I correct assuming that there is a (battery) backup PSU to control these? If not , one wouldn't be able to stop/neutralize the wind turbine in case of a storm or technical failure? Cosmetic detail: what about output this magnificent video again, but in perspective instead of isometric projection? (I am allergic to isometric images, where everything further away looks bigger :o)

      Accumulators are used in case of loss of power. These hold enough hydraulic charge to operate emergency functions

    Why don't they mount the gearbox electric motor etc at the bottom of the unit so that a large part of the weight is low down and the unit can be manufactured out of lighter materials. It doesn't make sense to have all the weght 100meters in the air.

    What would be the estimated weight of the mast and head? One hydraulic cylinder to tilt it is going to need to be a pretty hefty unit.

    I have a few questions - how to control blade pitch motors? How to provide power and control signals to them since they are rotating. Through a slip rings? Is the brake caliper are only load for hydraulic pump? By the way video looks great!
