Because you have time and age in favour of you, you can go for one small cap fund like axis smallcap fund only through sip. You will see big fluctuations in your portfolio, even 30-40% downside. But if you can hold on for 10- 15 years, it has higher return potential. Otherwise simple nifty 50 index fund like HDFC nifty index fund will do the job. I even suggest only HDFC flexicap fund. No need for multiple funds for 1k SIP
