UPDATE: I released a new version of this shader that includes PSX/PS1 Effects and basic Classic Lighting. Check it out: github.com/Koloss0/Minecraft-Retro-PSX-Shader
@@ScienceGuy232 I don't remember what settings I had it on exactly, but I probably had color depth fairly low (3 or 4) with dither and HDR enabled, with bumped up CRT settings (fuzziness, rgb separation, noise waves)
@@kolosso305 I'm trying to figure out how to install the shader and I don't get how to do it. step one is really confusing and i don't know where to find the code > download zip
@@U1MequalsHi, sorry I'll edit the language to make it more familiar. A "repository" refers to a "project" of sorts. In this case, the shader itself is the project/repository. The "Code" button is located at the top of the page next to the "About" section. Hope that helps
I want to thank you so much for this. I'm making a 90s dungeon crawler styled adventure map and every other shader I've been able to find hasn't worked or was very buggy. This one is perfect for what I wanted and runs perfectly without any glitches seriously I am so happy this shader exists.
I'm glad you like it! :D Stick around, I'm going to be releasing a better version with PSX effects hopefully sometime -this week- . That should fit the 90s look nicely. EDIT: Due to my busy schedule, I will have to post-pone the video's release to late June
Unfortunately I don't know how to make bedrock shaders, nor do I have bedrock, and nor do I have the time to invest in it. I imagine it wouldn't be excessively hard to implement though, and you are free to use my code as a base if you want to do so yourself
Thanks, I'm glad you like it! Hmm. Interesting, I've only ever tested it on my PC and it worked with a decent frame rate (GPU: Radeon RX 560) Although, I do notice a drop in frame rate no matter how basic the shader. I think there might be a base drop in frame rate just from rendering with a shader. But yes, this was just a fun little project, so I didn't put a lot of time into efficiency. If you go into CRT>shaders>final.fsh, you can find the main code and you can delete things as you see fit.
I'm not totally sure how to do this. if I did it, I'm not sure it would come out great. Though if someone knows how and wants to make a pull request they can be my guest
I believe it's disabled by default. Select the shader in your list of shaders and open the settings menu. Then you'll find the toggle switch in the CRT section.
Unfortunately shaders on Bedrock and Java Edition are completely different. You would have to completely rewrite the code into a Bedrock behaviour pack.
@@noobodyisheree are you using the latest version of Optifine (1.19.2)? And did you use the shader from github? The one from github is more recent and has more features.

Hi, sorry for the late comment. what presets have you used in your print? that one at sunset. Im having some problems with the configuration...

Great work man, I'm making MC64 and this is perfect
hey dude this is awesome, the only issue i have is the fact that emisive textures dont work for some reason. either way, awesome sauce!
Thanks, and yeah. it's entirely possible I missed certain things. This was one of my first shaders so I didn't really know what I was doing, haha.
extreme respect, good job
thank-you :)
best shader that run on my pc, thanks!
I'm glad you like it!
Something like this for beta 1.7.3 would be awesome
I would love this shader in the bedrock version

Can you add colour filter, so we can change game colour scheme (Only red tone for example)? It would be really nice
You mean like a screen tint? That would be fairly easy to do I suppose.
this looks cool
Thanks!
Bro, this is awesome!
I loved it... but it isn't optimized, is it?
I get a high frame rate drop when using it.
Thanks, I'm glad you like it!

@@kolosso305 I've never seen a Shaders as cool as yours, it's worth losing some FPS Haha
pls make vhs effect, and public a download link, repl when do that)

Aw man the pack doesnt work on 1.20.1 would've been cool tho
What error message are you getting? I just tested and it works on my machine
Hey man, I was wondering is there anyway i can just add the crt overlay? Because idk why its not showing on my screen 😭

COOL
glad you like it!🙂
like retro (not because nostalgia my first wersion was 1.12)
Hey dude, can you upload this to CurseForge if you can?
It's on my todo list. But don't wait for me, follow the instructions on github. It's easier this way I promise
for what version??
Last I checked (a month ago) it worked on the latest version.
cool
Is it possible on Bedrock?

isn't working now i dontknow why
I just tried it, it seems to work no problem. Is it giving you any sort of error message?
@@kolosso305 no message just it doesn't work even in the shader options it apears nothing

can we get it on curseforge?
I will consider it. I'm not sure why it's necessary but I suppose some people may prefer the familiarity
Not a fan of the large ass sun and moon
You can thank Notch for that :) It just looks bigger cause of the reduced colour depth
fukken creepy
