    Question:
    You said to seal the clay after it has dried because it’s not waterproof. So ultimately could I make a coaster and it would absorb the condensation from the glass and not ruin the coaster?

    • @clayandpastel

  • @yles6507
    @yles6507 3 года назад

    Hello, I've been using nail polish specially for the glossy glittery look if a client requested, though if not, then I prefer to use matte acrylic sealers because I really like the 'matte-satin clay vibe' finish than the 'glossy factory plastic-like finish'.
    I wonder what do you use for sealing your clays other than the bosny clear spray paint? I saw your souvenir video and it doesn't look too shiny and glossy in the video.
    I made a pendant charm for my friend but the acrylic sealer still is not enough to 'water-resist' the charm (I think my friend is a lot sweaty naturally) and I told him it's water resistant but not waterproof and I really prefer the matte-satin finish and he also like the matte finish. Sadly after hours of wearing it, he showed it to me and it is literally 'melting' for the lack of better adjective and the clay turns back to being soft and sticky. I'm still confused though because I tried using the clay earrings that I made and sealed with the same sealer and it stays nice and not 'melting' so I do not really know if it's the 'sweat factor' that counts.

    • @clayandpastel
      @clayandpastel  3 года назад +1

      Hi :)
      I use hulma gloss for my souvenirs and I think yes because sweat has acid and personally if I make earings I make sure that some the parts of the earings won't touch the neck or our skin beacuse yes it's not waterproof.

    Omg thank you so much
    I have a question : does it crack after it dry or not? Like I want to make something like a mask or something does it crack?

    • @clayandpastel
      @clayandpastel  4 года назад +4

      I wont crack if you make your clay project surface so smooth and free from lines/dents (those little lines you'll see on clay when molding) it can cause cracks. Will make video about it, soon!

    Hi, can we mix air dry clay with baking clay? And then bake them together

    • @clayandpastel
      @clayandpastel  2 года назад +1

      Hi :) Air dry clay is no bake clay po, it dries when contact with air.
      No need to bake them.

    Good one!! Which is the best glue for airdry clay earrings?

    • @clayandpastel
      @clayandpastel  2 года назад +1

      If clay to clay, you use regular glue but if clay to metal you need to use glue that really works for metal, like super glue, cyno, etc.

      Hello, im not sure because candle wax is hot when you pour, but in resin it works. You can try making a small piece of clay then pour a small mount of wax to see if the clay reacts on hot wax but make sure that the clay is fully dry 😊
