This was beyond my expectations for a product video, this was brilliantly portrayed and so understandable for even a beginner whoever going to buy a glazing material for clay products actually. How this video went I genuinely haven't watched any video of this level. Wow and thank you : )
@angelita alitas Hi there! Yeah, it is true that clay absorbs polish after some time but mine hasn't so far! It's been more than 3 or 3.5 years, my clay charms are still having this glossy look. I think other than absorbing the polish, it has to do something with the quality of the nail polish. But yeah, I think it's kinda safe to use clear varnish.

I really would have loved it you mentioned that in the video. I don’t know if it felt sticky to you.
The best from my experience and without chipping the varnish from the piece, it’s to glaze it with a very thin layer of fimo liquid and then bake the pieces for 20 minutes, it’s not too shine and it doesn’t become yellow or sticky. That’s only for polymer clay

Thank you for this review. Does the UV Resin have to be used with a mask? I’m not sure if I’m getting it mixed up. There was some kind of Resin where people say where a mask it’s dangerous if you don’t. The UV Resin looks so shiny like glass.
Yes. You should wear a respirator (not a surgical mask like people wear for covid), goggles for eye protection, and gloves. Make sure you are using in a very well ventilated area (open windows AND a fan) and understand that even doing all that, you are taking a risk. We do not yet know the long term effects of UV resin, but we do know it is toxic in its liquid form pre-curing. That is a fact. It can become an allergy for individuals very quickly, and once you're allergic, you can't use it anymore. And that is not just if it touches skin; you can develop an allergy to it from breathing the fumes. Also, even if it doesn't smell to you, the fumes are still dangerous. There are companies that will claim non-toxic and no VOCs (volatile organic compounds) but they are lying and can get away with that as resin is not regulated well. Just be sure to be informed in your decision and please don't apply UV resin the way it is shown here; you *need* gloves. Resin on skin will cause irritation and can lead to eczema. It is hard to find solid, evidence-based information on resin because it hasn't been studied much, but please look into it if you are considering using it especially in a home you share with others or for big objects. I've done my own research, but I like to always double check info I get from people on the internet and encourage others to do so too! 😊

Hey , thanks so much - very helpful! Im wondering have you ever tried to get a glaze effect from taking a heat gun to baked on liquid clay? Im having mixed results with super sculpey's brand... Thanks 😊
Thank you times a million. Excellent for a newbie. ❤️❤️❤️
Which one is the best for polymer clay mugs?
Thanks so much for this! I just started polymer clay although I have used modeling clay (inspired by you!), so I didn't know if I could use Mod Podge. I think it looks ok so...we'll see how it works out lol. I love all your videos, thank you so much for making them!
I'm wondering how you hold your charms to let them dry. I'm not sure how to place my jewelry for the drying process.
