Can you believe this is from 1969? Speechless.... this is one of those songs that words just can't do justice to. The band is just oozing with greatness on their first outing!

It is interesting...I went through a Zeppelin phase. The musicians are talented, there's no question. But IMO the music doesn't age well. The constant misogyny, sexualized, bro-culture theme is a thing of the past best left in the past.

When I left for Vietnam in late 67 my friends where beer pounding jocks listening to Beatles MoTown beach boys. When I came back fourteen months later the transformation was amazing. This album was playing at a party my first night back. Blew my freaking mind. I’ve been a Zephead ever since.

Did somebody already say this? Watching Kel's face slowly (or not so slowly) light up when she loves a song takes us all back to that special moment with that song when that happened to us. It's the closest I've come to reliving my childhood.

I was in the Army in 1969 and 1970 and was out of touch with the real world for a while, not ever having heard of Led Zepplin until I was assigned to a stateside duty station in South Carolina in late 69 - early 70. My roomate in the barracks where we lived had just been released from the hospital and I was helping him unpack his things when I saw these two interesting albums, one with the burning airship on it and the other with 4 guys wearing german WW1 aviator's uniforms. When I listened to both albums I was utterly amazed and became an ardent Led Zep fan from that point onwards. I think my initial reaction upon hearing these gems was not unlike Kel's in this video. Thank you Larry and I hope things have gone well for you since the Army, remember the good times we had at the UFO in downtown Columbia, SC in the fall of 1969.

I was a WPLJ guy too. From Queens. Odds are Kel has heard Stairway to Heaven on pop radio as it's played at least once or twice a year. I first heard LZ 4 in 1987 when I was 14 and I knew Stairway from the top 40 stations.
I love your schtick of prog and metal, but You haven't listened to the lynchpin song yet: Stone Cold Crazy by Queen. Prog rock creating the first speed metal song in the cheekiest way.
    Congrats on your good fortunes.

Great reaction and a GREAT SONG. Rich do Kel a huge favor and sit down and listen to the whole album. I still think is the best. I am 69 and heard this album in 1968 and it turned me into a hard rocker forever. I saw Zep 4 times in the 70's and was never disappointed. Oh yes CRANK IT UP!!!!

One of their best songs is 'Over the Hills and Far Away.' I haven't seen anyone react to that one.

Agreed. One of my top 5 for them and it gets no love on react videos.

He says "soul of a woman was created below" and the first thing out of Kel's mouth is "ooh, I love it".
    Well... so you agree then...

It was 1972, I was Ten, and I heard "Reelin In The Years", for the first time, never knew a guitar could sound like that, I was hooked, been playing guitar ever since.

I always envy people who get to listen to this stuff for the first time. I guess that’s why so many like these reaction channels, because it takes them back to the first times they heard these classics

In our house I was the youngest of 6 boys and Top 40 (pop music) was strictly Verboten and I'm so very thankful for this. For a true mind freak, try Zappa. I loves me some Zappa.
