    You two make music a lot of fun. I am 64, and forget just how much Classic Rock I have been able to hear as it happened. First time I heard Zepplin was the song Stairway to Heaven, on my "New" 8 Track Stereo in my 1964 Falcon Sprint. Thanks for the video work, and the Fun you have together is contagious.

    I was almost ten years old. Whole Lotta Love came on the radio in my Dad's 1968 Chevy Impala I was in the front listening to KIRL 1460 AM the middle section blew my mind. I asked to go to the hippie record store and ask about this song.. the long haired stoner at the counter said it's on Led Zeppelin II... and pulled out both LPs..I got my dad to fork over the seven and half dollars for the two LPs. Allowance free for two months to pay it back.... Went home and listened to both on the family's tube amplified console stereo...In just over a year went to to see them live and saw them four more times. Met them and more....it's been a lifetime happy obsession that brought me so many life riches, bliss and ecstasy.

    I grew up in central Florida and was raised on country music and knew nothing of rock and roll. Then in 1974 we moved up to New Jersey and one of my cousens played Led Zeppelin and I could not beleave the sound that I was hearing, The voice the guitars and the drums. I fell in love with it all and after 40 years I still believe that Led Zeppelin's music is imitated but will never be matched. Thank for sharing this with me.

    Greetings from Mike in Marietta, GA. One of my favorite Zeppelin songs. Albums 1 and 2 are both amazing, accomplished in such a short time. This song was released in '69. Two years later, 1971, my hero Clemente's Pirates won world series, and Chicago released a song called 25 or 6 to 4. When I listen to the part of this song you play at 5' 30" into this reaction video, Jimmy's guitar reminds me of that Chicago song. Thank you for sharing your video reactions!

I remember turning 15 in December of 1968 and we were all feeling really great about the Beatles. In Spanish class in February of 1969, my friend Mike Peters pulled out Mr Guminas Hi Fi and said “Check this Out”! It was Led Zeppelin 1! Music life was getting ready to change. Thank you for the great video. Have an awesome Monday! God bless.

    I saw Led Zeppelin the very first time they performed in the USA at The Fillmore East in NYC. No one knew who they were yet and they were opening up for Iron Butterfly. They opened up with Good Times, Bad Times and then Babe I'm Gonna Leave You. By the end of those first two songs no one cared about Iron Butterfly and my and others' musical lives changed forever. The Beatles and Led Zeppelin changed the whole musical landscape as far as I'm concerned. Best two bands all time and definitely two of the most influential bands of their era. Thank you for reacting to my favorite Led Zeppelin song. Rich, play 'Ramble On' from the second album for her to hear soon.

  • @tedball8677
    @tedball8677 5 лет назад +2

    Get the Led out! Man oh man, to be listening to Led Zep I for the first time ... to hear Bonham, Jones, Page, and the full range of Plant's vocals before he lost that upper "howling" range you hear on Led Zep I, II and III.
    Yes, Kel has had a musically cloistered background. Folks surprised at that have had their own "cloistered" experience by being unfamiliar (for the most part) with the conservatory's type of music.
    Thanks again, y'all. The fresh, honest, first-timer reaction is why I keep coming back.

    That chord progression is used in a LOT of songs. It's used in Green Day's Brain Stew. It's used in Chicago's 25 or 6 to 4. It's used in Styx's Suite Madame Blue. It's probably used in a bunch of others that I can't remember off the top of my head, but those are the ones I could think of right now.

    It’s so much more than two random people listening to some music. I was born in 1956 so Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple were the sounds of my formative years. I live in Wales UK and all three of those bands plus many more, far too many to mention were British bands. The reactions are genuine I can see that and what is also palpable is your love for each. One more thing, I was deeply saddened to hear of your son’s passing, I have lived with epilepsy all my life and I understand better than most the curse that it is. I remember when Zep 1 first came out in early 1969. I heard Good Times Bad Times on the local “underground “ FM radio station and flipped! I happened to know the DJ and I called him immediately and asked who it was. He told me it was Led Zeppelin and the album was due to be released the next week. I talked him into letting me have an advanced DJ copy and I proceeded to drive my parents out of the house with it. When Zep 2 came out, that was it, I was hopelessly addicted!
