I still feel that the Steelers' dynasty of the '70's is the best of all time.

Back in the 70s football was played like it was meant to be played. The steelers and that steel curtain defense was special.

I walked by Mr. Greene, the morning after the San Diego loss last year, at the Pittsburgh airport. I happened to be on the flight with him and his family to Dallas. When I walked passed him in amazement I said, "Mr. Greene" he said yes.... I said sorry we couldn't win the game for you. He said, "You can't win them all." It was my moment to be the Coke kid in the tunnel. I was a child of the 70's and have been a Steeler's fan since 1975. Won't forget they passing comment. What a man!!
Jack Lambert took the time to write a letter to me with an awesome picture a couple years ago, after a Military Policeman who attended a Bible class I was teaching, saw his jersey 58 hanging in my office. Turns out that this MP was the roommate of Jack Lambert’s son! So I passed a letter to him to give to Jack Lambert expressing my thanks to the BEST linebacker to ever play. About a month later, a package was delivered to me from the desk of Jack Lambert; a handwritten note with an autographed picture. Just awesome, man!

That's so cool. I rarely see Lambert interviews and assume he keeps football behind him. He's one of my all time favorites. I've watched every clip of his play.

I'm glad to see that Steeler's defense of the 70s is getting their credit here. They were phenomenal! The best EVER! In 1976, after going 1-4 because Bradshaw was hurt, they had 5 shutouts and in the other four games they only allowed 28 total points. Like Belichick said, it was hard to get a first down, never mind a touchdown.
Nothing tops the 70s Steelers coaching and team.

I am a lover of all football and just to see mean Joe Green. I was a senior in high school in 75. And to see the respect they have for one another old football players and young football players. This truly warms my heart🙏🏾🔥

Even among some of the greatest defensive players and greatest coach of all time, Mean Joe Greene takes the spotlight at a giant. The greatest defensive lineman of all time.

Offensive coaches probably didn’t get much sleep the week leading up to playing Pittsburgh. I mean, how do you stop them all? That defense had so many weapons, any one of them had the ability to take over a game.

Bill has a great dry sense of humor. If you follow his game analysis show he's terrific in breaking down film and has high reverence for the game and its history. The early part of the show is even funnier.

If this team was filled with almost half of the greatest players that have ever played the game, then why did the only win 4 Super Bowls? And why was the biggest point difference in any of those games just 12 points with two of the games having just 4 points between them and their opponent?
