The heroines facing the Luka that went the other way, and seeing him still trying to fulfill a plan out of guilt and loss despite it going against his very nature. It's why the Chaos Route was very nice, because you went through 2 damn routes that's basically a bad ending with no resolution with Luka having no say 70% of the time in either. Then you go back to the Great Decision after doing both routes and Luka just goes "fuck both plans, they wont work. you don't agree with my plan? come at me, I'll fuck both sides up". Also Judgement was hell to face in Paradox mode. Love the music that plays before they appear, like Worldbreaker has Beethoven's Sonata No.8, Pathetique Adagio Cantabile (Ending 4-1) playing in the background.
So, small correction (personal): Luka doesn't say much in Paradox very often (but he says often in Part 3, with the 2 routes) because Luka is us. We play Luka and our choices have impacts, that's why Luka doesn't express himself much. It's different from the VN (although there are choices but often useless) because this time, our choices have an importance and impacts that can change our gameplay. The proof with the case of the Plansect Village or Succubus Village etc... more obvious with the success "Sonya's Bizarre Adventure" where we can't recruit and go to the Pocket Castle for a very long time. Luka does express himself but it will often be our choices. But there, Judgement and Worldbreaker are bosses, they are not playable (not yet recruitable), so that changes everything but they express their sadness, despair and anger due to our choices and the adventure that we have done.
These moments between Alice and Ilias with Judgement and Worldbreaker are very interesting I find. Because Judgement and Worldbreaker are the same people who lost those they loved and accepted their terrible fates. However, these are the same people they loved, who face them, Alice and Ilias, make them understand their mistakes. It's interesting in this sense. Afterwards, I can't wait to see how to recruit them.
It's even more depressing when you think about the parallel worlds Judgement and Worldbreaker destroyed. There are probably billions of worlds out there that achieved some kind of coexistence like Paradox world, or worlds where Luka lived a more peaceful life, settled down and had kids... Knowing that you have to perform genocide at such a mind boggling scale and kill billions of alternate versions of YOURSELF, and not even being able to delude yourself into thinking "it's for a good cause" or "the ends justify the means" because you know that all you're really doing is borrowing a bit more time before everything eventually dies... That's soul crushing. It's no wonder Judgement and Worldbreaker don't stop, they can't. They went so deep off the high end stopping just isn't an option anymore. They're completely broken inside. Though they do look drippy as hell. Wish I could recruit them
