OOR has been around since 2005, so they are pretty much already veterans. they started out as an emo teen band but they cover so many genres, it's insane :) They have heavier songs, they have pop punk, grunge, pop rock, hard rock under their belt too. check out Mighty Long Fall (yokohama arena live) or one by one (35xxxv tour), make it out alive, or their newest song, Delusion:all for heavier stuff, though the latter is so new it doesn't have a live performance yet. Taka is a world class singer, he has so much texture and nuance to his voice, and his range is pretty wide.

If you like heavier stuff (with some screamo), I recommend Deeper Deeper & Make It Out Alive at Yokohama Stadium [1CHANCE Festival]. One OK Rock is one of those very-rare bands that are actually BETTER live (and their studio versions aren't bad to begin with), so I'll always recommend listening to the live versions. If you want something similar to Renegades (emotionally powerful if not as aggressive, music-wise), I recommend We Are or Take What You Want from the Ambitions tour.
