This is actually the most faithful adaptation of Shelob in term of how Tolkien described her in his books. She was "mostly" spider like, had claws and stingers on her toes, she had a neck and a demonical face

Lmao, this comment is pure gold. The spider chase in Rayman 2 (and also in the GBA port of Rayman 3) scared the crap out of me when I was a child. Still better than Gollum gameplay wise, and we're talking about a 1999/2000 game

The troll chase from harry potter and the sorcerer stone for PC looked even 100000x more beautiful

She had a huge body that looked like a bloated bag. Her body was black and blotched with livid marks with a pale and luminous belly." It's not very book accurate if you ask me.. The head, coloration, markings, beak, neck, belly, body shape, and horns are all wrong. They got the fact that it is a spider right if that's what you were trying to say.
Even playstation 1 Aragog looks better than this. Don't give bad game design a pass just because you enjoy the source material.

I have so many questions. Who wanted this game? Why does Gollum look so low quality compared to the rest of the game? Why is the gameplay so bad? Just why?

A chase scene like this in a 2023 game. It's worse than crash bandicoot warped. A great game, that came out over 20 years ago. In all the ways you could use Shelob, this is the way you choose. Pathetic

If you judge a game by how many people work on it, then you are an idiot, end of discussion. Good indie games get praised, steaming piles of garbage like this get laughed at just like they deserve. Get over yourself. This game is terrible. The graphics are terrible, the gameplay is terrible, the dialogue is terrible, it's performance is buggy, glitchy, broken, and terrible. Even the concept of the game itself is terrible, out of all the characters in the franchise gollum is literally the worst to use. I am speaking the general conscensus of everyone who has wasted their money on this horrible game.
