They won't, and even if some so it'll only be for a short time before they're retired for good. That, and given the current climate for the foreseeable future it likely wouldn't make sense to fly them, as I think it'd probably be next to impossible to fill them up enough to make a profit.
@@58HUSTLER 4 engine airliners are going away fast. A340 is dead. A380 is on life support a they will disappear in the next decade. 747-400, I would doubt there will be a dozen left after this. Freighters will not be affected and the younger 747-400's will end their lives as such. 747-8I will be the last man standing but only for a short term. When it comes back the big twins will dominate. Cheaper to fly and maintain. Enough different models to make a difference when picking an airliner for capacity and range. It will be a while before you see the industry return to its former glory. By then things could change. At this point I dont think the change will be for the better.
All the engines had covers on and all ports and probes were protected as well, so I'm not too worried. I assume BA will perform regular service maintenance to keep them in good shape :)
No they won't. For starters, they park at angles so the engines can be run up periodically. Also maintenance are with the aircraft, its not just a long stay.
They will now have time to decontaminate the cabins, possibly with Decon 7, before the planes come back into service. Quite a sight to see for Bournemouth Airport.
Very sad sight to see. I fear that some of the 747-400s may never return to service.

I'd say the next flight those 747's take will be to the scrap man. Good i say, if they are not economic recycle them.

Heartbreaking end to the marvellous 747! Nothing will ever be like the Jumbo! I am so lucky to have travelled in them few times.
@@bobdevreeze4741 Do not forget the Dreamliner 777.
Notwithstanding the tragic side of why these planes are here, it's certainly providing opportunities to get iconic pictures.
Hello! Would you be alright with me using 15-20 seconds of this in a video? You’d be given credit in the video, description and comments.
Nice video
That's where the Landor 747 has been hiding
As long as these aircraft's stranded like this their electricals, engine components gets damaged. very worst scenario for all airlines over the world

That is quite something to see
That is madness!
sadly I suspect tho she is known as the "Queen of the Skies" those old 747s may be retired very early
have any been clamped ?
So heartbreaking. Don't scrap the Landor 747 best livery, hopefully they'll be back in the skies again where they belong
Seeing all these aircraft together just hits home how serious fings av got
Some nice revenue for this little airport
Bournemouth is BA’s new hub?
I think it's cheaper to keep them at Bournemouth.
it could replace Gatwick
0:45 MY HOMIE LANDOR!
Is david walls worth still working for British airways a380
Are David’s balls still worth working for?!
Where are A 380s parked?
I heard some of BA's A380's got flown to France for Storage.
Sad as it is,
They have to have G BNLY return!
Agreed, would be a shame to see it go
They shouldn't have stopped it, there are other 747s, like idk G-CIVD
