Unforgivable that Dudley’s handshake was omitted in the deleted scenes. This is fascinating though.

I think the Aunt and Uncle would LOVE their magic child... Special Grandbaby.
Petunia was jealous, and Uncle Vernon just thought it was weird and freaky... but if it was his kid he'd be quiet and his wife would be happy.
    My opinion.

I love this idea and wish it had happened. It would have been a massive great twist that Dudley would have had a magical child.

Dursley is a guy who loves to spoil his kids disgustingly rotten. I highly doubt he will make a big deal of it if its his grandkids. He turned a blind eye on Dudley's obvious obesity and bullying after all. I'd be betting he will make it a competition on who has better magical kids/grandkids later on. Make em hex/jinx each other or something for "practice". A shame Dudley's kids did not end up being magical (or a least one). I read that Harry and Dudley still visit and contact each other from time to time - much to the annoyance of Harry's 3 kids.

    1. The Cursed Child doesn't portray Harry as depressed & ignoring his children! Ignorant of everything going on with them, yes, but not due to being unavailable. I read it & it clearly shows that he has very bad PTSD & that he's not as close to his sons as he thinks at 1st because Ginny has been playing middle-man, guiding the kids away to other activities when he's having bad days & then telling Harry that the kids are 100% fine to make him happy, & so he doesn't ask the kids directly if there are things bothering them. [If you think about it then it makes sense Harry is having a hard time dealing some days. Wizards don't have psychiatrists & Harry can't talk about wizard stuff with a muggle psychiatrist. He was emotionally & physically abused as a young kid, then spent years being hunted just for existing, having horrible nightmares about Voldemort killing people, etc & gaining & losing good people in his life like Sirius, Lupin & more. Spending almost a year literally on the run scared, confused, even hungry. Guilt over all the deaths, having to sacrifice himself literally in order to destroy the horcrux in him, & then after the war working as an Auror for a few years to help track down the Voldemort supporters that got away.] Harry's ignorant that his older son was glorying in the fame of his dad a bit too much, getting an ego like his granddad James, & his 2nd son was feeling overshadowed by his dad's fame in the same way Ron had felt about his older brothers. (There's more to Ron's insecurity, but that was a big part.) Harry has spent plenty of time with his kids, but I infer from the story he wasn't concious that Ginny's well-meaning interference had over time subconsciously conditioned the kids to not bother their dad with any kind of problems. The thing was though, the boys weren't little any more & at their age where talking about their feelings with their mom wasn't easy. So yeah Harry & Ginny did both screw up, but Harry wasn't neglecting his kids.
    2. Voldemort wanting to live forever does not go against him having a child. It was shown that though Bellatrix was married, it was not a love match & only for meeting her parents' expectations that she marry a worthy pureblood. She was also fanatically obsessed with Voldemort & 1 of the big things all the pureblood obsessed wizards cared about was having more pureblood babies to carry on their vision. Bellatrix probably pointed out that him having at least 1 child would look good & could be used to form more alliances through that child's marriage in the future, just as her marriage had been.

The problem with Voldemort having a child is it makes me think of Voldemort creating said child, and I don’t like that this thought ever existed.

"The Play That Shall Not Be Named". ❤ I actually saw it on Broadway. The actors did their best with what they were given, and the special effects were very impressive. But I hate the script. I hate everything about it. I can't believe JK actually acknowledged it, let alone put her name on it. Thank you for letting me see that I am not alone in my opinion! (I refer to it as either "Disney Does Potter" or "The Harry Potter Holiday Special". But I think I prefer your sobriquet.)

I saw it too, and it was impressive on a theater, the magic elements suit well on a play, I will probably make a video about it sometimes. But indeed, the script that I read beforehand was very disappointing and far from the Harry Potter (or even Fantastic Beasts) standards.

I think this should've been two videos, one about Dudley, one about the play. I didn't really understand the link, and it made the whole experience a bit disjointed.
