    55:14 that is a Morse code ID'er that broadcast NS's license call sign for using that frequency ,you used to hear those a lot on fire and police frequencies . Hope to see places on the CNO&TP in northern Tennessee and southern Kentucky that's where some of the most dramatic work took place when they bypassed the old tunnels during the 1963 line relocation project .

      Gotcha. Interesting, though, that I haven’t heard that on other railroads before. Also, if you’re referring to us, we’d only make it as far north as Lancing on this trip. I was trying to focus more on the areas shown mostly in this video, as it was closest to our Crossville residence. Definitely notes for a future visit though.

      Thanks for that! I’ve started calling it the ‘Phantom Symbol’, cause it always seems to pop up in the most random places. Now I can put those theories to rest…haha!

    When I about your age I spent my summers in Rockwood. We (my brothers) got in trouble by climbing on the signal towers to watch the trains go by...

    NS 196 is Chattanooga to Elkhart manifest

    • @kotabeaner
      @kotabeaner  2 года назад

      Did that change with the recent symbol changes? Everywhere I looked beforehand showed Fort Wayne. If not, my mistake.

      nope. Always has been to Elkhart. Unless if terminating in Fort Wayne which is rarely.

    I don't know anything about trains. Are the rails supposed to flex up and down so much?

    • @kotabeaner

      In what instance are you referring to? Just give me a timestamp in the video.

      @@kotabeaner For example, at 6:45, bottom left of the screen, the rails seem to move up and down as the train rolls along. Is this expected behavior, or are the rails supposed to be more rigid?

    I hope you continue to go out railfanning in the near future. Please keep it up with posting more railfan stuff when you go out to railfan. I did subscribe to your friends YT channel Georgia Rail Productions. I will start watching his videos very soon. Have a good weekend to you sir.

      I definitely have quite a bit of content coming. Even some Florida stuff is on standby, due to my inability to get my Tennessee content out as quickly as I’d have liked to. Some very interesting stuff on the way…stay tuned.

      @@kotabeaner Warn Tampa Bay Railfan that Hurricane Ian is on the way and Tampa might take a direct hit by the hurricane as a Category 4 or a Category 5
      Tarpon Springs might get hit with historic storm surge up to 10 to 12 feet
      It's coming in and it's gonna be bad

    As a heads up for those who attended the premiere for this video and experienced minor glitches, they seem to have ironed themselves out, and none of those are present in the final public product. I also realize my editing mistake, in that the K&O District stands for “Knoxville and Ohio”, not Oakdale.

    Cody: Thanks for another good one. You are showing absolutely great potential as a producer of topnotch rail videos. I'm not so sure about that Georgiarail kid. That boy ain't seen the ball since the kickoff. You might need to shuck him like a 12-ga pump. He needs to grow up a mite more. Or, maybe a lot more........... Thanks for the video.
