Yup, Crim missed out there big time, could have tapped it to make 5 1/1s, and started saccing the 1/1 summon sick tokens rather than the actual bodies.
@@brushwagg7735 Exactly while Crim's trying to play Historic archetypes in Timeless because Timeless = Good while Historic = Bad or something like that.
I feel titan is just so mediocre. Its like a turn 4-5 combo deck with almost zero early game interaction and doesn't reliably kill when it pops off, but just assembles a board that still dies to sweepers until it has enough lands to really give haste, and its slowed down hard by any instant speed interaction. Meanwhile this is a format where turn 2-3 combos exist and black picks apart your hand and draws 7 cards. I mean, you can run the same neostorm combo that exists in historic except with a few upgrades and what does titan do in a matchup like that? get down some lands and die on turn 3?
Titan has really good fair matchups. It’s really resilient and field of the dead is obviously insane in the late game. That’s what makes it a good deck. But any deck that isn’t blue and/or black is going to really struggle in most combo matchups.
@@Duall8 there’s a fun timeless goblin deck with Sneak attack that just does dirty end of turn stuff with Muxus and runs chieftains and ramp as it’s “fair” plan.
8:15 in case anyone is wondering, the DRC was used as the third card in graveyard for the Escape cost because you can pay costs in any order, in this case the opponent sacrificed the creature, putting a card into the graveyard, before then exiling that card for the Escape cost. Very cool line
@@ThePancaked1It sounds like “mind gobbling” as if you were asking someone if they would be amenable to putting deez nuts (slang for the male gonads) in their mouth
I’m pretty sure you weren’t dead at 8:28. They exiled their Dark Ritual so they didn’t have any way to make more mana, and they also didn’t have any way to put their Stitcher’s Supplier back in the graveyard.
I think it’s more important in timeless than in every other format to not scoop early because so often arena players either fizzle their own combo or kill them selves with necro or even fetch a shock themselves into lethal
Everything revealed, I think Crim should have gambled on going to Turn. Opp was going to have to exile the other three cards to put out Deathrite and have two blockers up. Their last card in hand could be another Deathrite or Stitcher, But then they're tapped out either way. Regardless of what Crim draws, can play Goblin Chieftain #2 for certain, swing for 12. Opp has to block two attackers. Opp goes to 2 life. If Opp top decks another Underworld Breach (or has it in hand) they have 5 cards in Graveyard from the two blockers scenario and one open mana. Either way there isn't a lot of outs left for them. They still have 3 Dark Ritual possibly left. But that eats three from Graveyard unless they draw it... Overall, Opp has to draw perfect and I don't think there is a Lurrus sweeper in B/R, they don't have the mana for any decent X cost ones anyways. I'm not the most familiar with that list but Crim seems 90% more on the win here than they do. Opp honestly needs massive lifegain here or a sweeper that they just don't likely play, otherwise Crim wins on the next turn with them at 2 life. Sling-Gang Lieutenant still in hand, only needs a land to win even against a sweeper as well.
Just a thought I need to share with the aether (enjoying some shochu), but if sashimi seems weird, look up how salami is made. There is now world in which sashimi is weirder than salami. I also happen to love salami, especially dried, but it's objectively one of those really weird foods that if you had it explained to you as a kid you might not try it.
You definitely conceded to the underworld breach deck too quickly. He only had 1 mana floating and he had exiled his dark ritual to pay for tutoring the stitchers. He had to have tutored the stitchers because he definitely would have played it earler in the turn to not have had to exile the dark ritual. Depending on his one other card in hand you might have had that game in the bag.
Yeah this. I think the last 5 or 6 games I've played against breach they misplay or gas out on the yard then they just concede so always worth sitting through it lol
I played this deck so much when it was number 1 in historic that it hurts to see crim misplay it. This deck is no longer competitive, but if you want to win with it….you have to do everything right. He’s probably just rusty with it
I couldn’t see the cards that Stitcher’s Supplier milled, but presumably it hit a sac outlet. Once you have Stitcher’s Supplier out, at least one Dark Ritual in the graveyard, and Underworld Breach active, you can mill through your entire deck until you’ve got a high enough storm count that Tendrils of Agony kills
