Man, I was so prepared with all of my stationery - notebooks, pens, highlighters, white outs, sticky notes - for school starting, but then the upperclassmen unanimously told us to get iPads to make life a LOT easier because of the hundreds of slides we go through per lecture :( And it's not like I budgeted for an iPad or have money just lying around, but when I'm paying exponentially more for tuition, an iPad just seems like spare change T_T
But why iPads? I have a Samsung tablet with S Pen that costs a third of the price. I've been using it for almost 4 years and it's still running good. I can even take notes with its pen and mark all my books and PDFs. Fortunately the world goes way beyond the Apple trending items 😆

Marquis De Lafayette I use tab s6 lite. Yeah it gets finicky here and there, but from someone who came from drawing on note 4, it’s better. Yeah some features are lost and the pen sometimes don’t react fine, but for a budget tablet, it doesn’t really seem like one. My own opinions.

I think a good criteria to consider for highlighters is hardness of the tip. I hate Stabilo Boss because i find them too hard and i am already heavy handed, to the point it makes noise and the lines always end up squiggly. That's why I love the Staedtler Triplus. They are so soft and easy to control. You can also use them for lettering, especially for beginners because it's so easy to control the pressure and line weight.
I’ve tried many and while I love the mildliners the best, the colors seem to always be darker in person. I am sure it is really hard to capture the colors on camera. For example the “smoke blue” mildliner I have is a good bit darker than I expected. Still searching for a nice desaturated blue that isn’t super dark. Same thing as my search for the perfect pink. They all seem to be florescent or “in your face” bright. So the search is still on for the perfect pink and blue.
I love this channel. Your info videos are seriously helpful. I wish we could could get the kokuyo brand more in Australia. Those dual tip highlighters look so cool. Hi there! All the highlighters in our video can be found in our site, which we link in the description. You can find the Stabilo Boss Highlighters here! www.jetpens.com/Stabilo-Boss-Original-Highlighters/ct/4345
I've already tried both the original six colors of the Stabilo Boss Pastel Original (all bought individually, and I haven't found any stock for the four new colors yet and I haven't visited my favorite bookstores in ages since the long, long quarantine started [we are still in quarantine as of now]) and the Mildliners (I got an entire 25 set from my local bookstore for about PhP 2000 last February [that is around $40 in current Forex rates, likely due to tariffs from importation]). For cheap notebook paper (the ones you find in a cheap binder), there is going to be quite some bleedthrough with the Stabilo, but less so with the Mildliners (I am both left-handed and heavy-handed) but no significant smearing occurs even with a gel pen (which bleeds only very slightly on cheap notebook paper). This does not happen so much with the copy paper we use though (70 or 80 gsm paper).
I had the Mildliners & Stabilo Boss which i really love my fav., are doublke side ended & Pilot Frixion Erasable Highlighter, these are so cool, but i always bought the cheaper ones because i use so much these ones it will coast me a fortune to get only my fav. ones,
I find the chunky stabilo’s quite uncomfortable to hold for longer periods of time, as I naturally hold them at the little edge where the cap clicks on, if ya know what I mean. Also not a fan of how easily they bleed through... super juicy and vibrant though! The pilot frixions are super light and don’t last that long, and if you’re not careful the erasers stain... but oof are they fun to use
