A few brief experiences with other markers if anyone is interested: The Stabilo Boss ones (same thing, but classical textmarker body) is that after a while of use the bleedthrough gets a bit less. Like they are more on the watery side early on but after a while they settle to better consistency, if that makes sense. But they are the ultimate favorites for now. Also they are refilable. Faber Castell has also classical textliners, of which there are more colors than the thin ones - they also have metallic glittery shades now :) But generally they do feel a bit more scratchy than Stabilo. Schneider Maxx Eco115 are not pastel (at least as of writing this) but they are refillable, and the ink cartidges come in packs of 3. The Pilot frixxion ones are great, but they get empty super quickly compared to others. So unless you need the being erasable feature, I would not recommend for everyday use. But for books they are amazing. There are some no-name highlighters one can find on amazon which are also erasable, but they have like an eraser-marker on the other side and depending on the color do not earse without leaving a lightly yellow stain. (Tradix Art?) Staedtler have a set of nice pastel ones with grey, brown and black in the set, which I thought is quite unique. (like pastell + vintage set together). They come in normal highlighter barell form and a thin version, where the barel is as large as a classical fineliner and have a normal felt tip, tip. They also feel very smooth and are great for small texts and underlining. Kores highlighters are also very smooth. Their pastells are also on the very gentle side, the color is more faint than others. ( I don't know how to express more pastell-ness). Most of these are european brands, so maybe the EU viewers can relate to this too. I am very tempted by the Uni Propous ones now though. But I really should not get any more highlighters.... If anyone is interested I could add the same judging criteria on these too.

I have the stabilo swing cool ones (I just got them yesterday for £2.70) and they are AMAZING! The ink is so smooth that it literally glides over rough paper and the colours are lovely ☺️
i used the sharpie s-note highlighters in the pastel colours for all of grade 8. they were very smooth but they smeared and they somewhat bled through the page. a very nice find at walmart in my small city for 7 bucks. if you come across them and you dont already own a pastel highlighter and you want some but you aren't allowed midliners or something similar , id recommend them.
I FINALLY GOT MIDLINERS!!!!! So you got me into midliners but the Zebra ones are pretty costly in my country so I didn't get them. I've invested in the Faber Castle ones though, because they're comparitively cheaper here and I'm wierdly super happy right now :D
The faber-castell ones have been my fave since I was in elementary. They're super easy to find in Brazil and pretty cheap too. Although the colour options aren't the best, I'd 10/10 recommend.

This helped me so much. I was looking for the right highlighters for my calligraphy when I go back to school in March (uk) I was trying to get ones that were cheap but worked right for me and this has helped me so much. TY!
They are expensive here too though, single at a craft store they are $1.99 and a set of 5 is about $15 I bought into the trend and they actually aren't that great, just average.
Yes! Specially the shipping, i Ended up buying the mildliners and milkliners from AliExpress since the shipping is Cheaper, but the mildliners were not cheap at all, i’m pretty sure if you buy them somewhere else they are going to be cheaper. But because all of those other sites have some crazy shipping fees, my best option was Aliexpress.
5:41 I really recommend Monami Adding-Super Highlighters they're the best for me. Doesn't really match mildliners tho, but they're really cheap but the quality is great
Just to add my personal experience : I’ve had the stabilo pastel (in boss version) for years, they last very well but they smear so much but really on fountain pen ink 🖋 (Parker ink) I can barely use them. The neon version of the stabilo boss doesn’t have this problem ( I must have used dozen of the green one). Really nice editing and I loved how in depth you went analysing highlighters 😊

I’m so happy I got the pilot ones now that I know it won’t bleed easy there we’re some in target and I had to get them cause I wanted more highliters!!
OH I HAVE THE FABERCASTELL PASTEL ONES, they actually do work well but the teal-ish one doesn't seem to be effective in highlighting because after it dries, the color just blends in with the white paper lewl but the other colors are v v pretty!
Entered- thanks! I agree on Mr Pen highlighters, although they are a great company and I have bought other office supplies from them, It is a 50-50 chance it will be a hit or miss on the quality of items, but they do replace or refund pretty quickly when I have gotten bad quality.

Thx. I use the Platinum Preppy highlighter. Pentel has refillable pastel but refills aren't available but you can refill the sponge

Love the pilot highlighters. They go on without bleeding and erase very well. Just ordered some extras.
For anyone interested in the pronounciation of Stabilo : 'Stab' as in stab, "i" as in bee and "lo" as in low.
