You can use the focus mode to change up the home screen at specific times .That way you could keep the minimalism while still opting to have different things at different times .Love the icons
All it does is allow you to hide or show specific from your existing setup. You cannot create a custom home screen just for a particular focus mode.
@@WillowRook yes so say you have a work mode and a personal mode . You can set up 2 screens one for work and the other for personal and let focus hide the other one . That way you dont have to deal with to see the apps you dont want while you are working . You can even go a step further and customise the notification as well. Workks like a charm
I really hope someone at Apple sees this. It shows just how far people are willing to go in terms of effort, inconvenience and comprimise, to gain options that are easily implementable. Options that the comeptition has been offering for a long time. Give the people what they want, they will only love you even more when you do.
Lol. I just posted that I was a long time owner of androids and between the latest updates to maps, the ability to clear your screen like this, and the updates on iOS16, all on top of my massive frustration with Google's own Pixel 6 devices of which I happen to be an owner of the Pro, I am now looking at buying an iPhone. I never thought I'd say that. The fact that I am ready to welcome iOS problems and mainly because Google themselves have pushed me into the arms of the competition. I should have just stuck with Samsung like I had all those years before. Worst case scenario, I end up back with a Samsung, but iPhone's are finally looking like they're worth a shot at least.
In any case, I 100% agree with your sentiment here. The user should have a strong say in what features are implemented. How are some of these things still not on iPhone? It's just crazy.

Have to agree this design of the iPhone is the first since the iPhone 4S I had years ago which has allowed me to go case less for most of the time. Your home screen setup is great, if only I could be bothered to go through all that trouble. 😆

The camera app can be substituted for another app.
You can put your access to the camera in the control center. You can possibly replace it with photos instead.

The Siri Shortcuts (which I must say I hardly use) for the Sonos is absolutely fantastic, I don’t have a Sonos, I have a pair of HomePod minis and I’ve done exact the same for mine, so much easier when I just want to get music to my HomePod fast

been using the same set up for almost a year now. but im using a white icon pack from Brass and Widgetpod to control my music. i love the minimalist design and having four icons on the lower right.
it makes sense not to put stacks of widget on the lower right since it's the perfect spot for people who swipe down on their homescreen.

The best control center hack is putting the camera and flash shortcuts in the same general area as they are on the lockscreen so your muscle memory remains.
Also the notes buton longpress for document scanning is pretty clutch ngl.

This is honestly the best! As a photographer, I do sometimes like to appreciate the shots I’ve taken and use them as a wallpaper but obviously apps can get in the way, and I also do like a minimal Home Screen. Canoopsy you’ve done it again my friend! And shout out to clear spaces too, easiest setup ever!

Great video ! How’s the silver stainless steel holding up with scratches? I’ve heard this specific one gets a lot of them, as it doesn’t have a color coat
So far I have like one or two scratches. Not bad at all! I think they improved it somehow versus the 12 Pro, it's been much more scratch resistant.
