Some flux will help with the quick melting and flow of solder.

Those CD eject mechanisms that Philips use are the cheapest of the cheap. Even on their high end valve CD/Amp Players like the Philips MCD 908 they use the same mechanism (Rely RT656N). It is manufactured with the cheapest plastic and not surprising it is the biggest thing to go wrong. Doesn't take much to break the plastic. Also, you cannot get a new one if it breaks. The Chinese company "Rely" does not make them anymore. And no other company makes them in those dimensions.

maybe we can make a 3D slt design for this tray. But I don't have time and have so much to do with the organization of spar parts and also service manuals not all is available and I can't know not all machines. Thank you for your information! weakbit

I have the same set defective. According to my measurements the class D output amplifier is defective. Seems difficult to replace due to pitch of the pins.

Do you think it’s worth cleaning and adding a contact ENHANCER to all pluggable connections? This model bears a great resemblance to the Gold Note 10 DSD Preamp! Great video. Thank you.
