Do you want to see advanced Desynced Guides on programming?

Yes please, I made a scout bot that tries to go around and solve all the structures it can find 🙂 I'm looking forward to seeing what you make!

really loving this game, it has certainly nailed a niche when it comes to factory games. Please do an advanced desynced guide. Your guides are brilliant 🙂

Super helpful for figuring out what the four command options meant, I wasn't quite sure what they all meant from the simple descriptions

For the transport bot that goes between the mining site and the storage back at the main base. Just take them off of the logistics network and then right click that that logistics button and check the transport option at the bottom. Then just select your goto and your storage and you're good. Never have to worry about it aft there that. They will only transport back and forth between those two selections.

Almost reminds me of the old PLCs and DOS based visual programming interface.

i been playing this game afew weeks now and definatly enjoying it, would love to see more on it and some guides, behavior lines

So, umm... I feel like you need to read (or re-read) the description of the Transport Route option you have when right-clicking the Logistics Settings button.
Because you spent a lot of time describing a system that does basically the same thing.

A problem with your factory is that each fabricator requests ore one by one, thus causing a ton of small travels, like the last mile delivery service guy.
with a storage building requesting required resources, these resources are transported in larger stack sizes. then these are pushed forward to a disribution building with a transport module (end of basic tech) and finally pushed to a storage building where they are made accessible to th network again. this can also be used to combine steps, e.g. ore to ingot to iron plate production.

Yep - there are a few ways we can really improve the efficiency but I hope to cover them later ☺️

I know I'll get the "It's early access!" response as always but please don't, as I don't value it.
That out of the way it's a tough sell for me. I haven't yet played Factorio so much that I couldn't open it again if I tried. Desynced seems to have the potential to scratch the same itch of complex systems but I've been a part of too many early access nightmares to jump into another especially this fast.
People who have played it, thoughts on how the games compare and the potential for Desynced to become as good? It seems very... light, once you stop looking at the coding. And if you're only looking at the coding it feels like the rest of the game is just an excuse to put that system into a game at all and it's just not that enjoyable-looking to me to *be* the game.

It’s a factory building game my guy. These games are all about logistics and math. If you don’t enjoy that then the genre probably isn’t for you.

    • @Boredom_Incarnate
      @Boredom_Incarnate Год назад

@@KyleModifier I mean, I asked if it would be as good as Factorio (or at least wasn't likely to just peter off and had little content on release) so I think I've signaled I like those kind of games generally.

It does not seem light to me - I am restarting for the third time because I keep figuring things out that totally change how I would approach base-building to the point that simply rebuilding does not seem like a good option (although part of it is that rebuilding isn't really that simple either). It's not really ''Factorio without belts'' (and trains) because by the time you have access to bots in Factorio you are fairly far into the game and probably have the ability to mass-produce bots, and Factorio bots fly, and you have access to belts and inserters and trains for more precise logistical control. You need to combine programming (to a greater or lesser extent) with intelligent base design (and buildings have multiple slots for equipment and upgrades that make a huge difference) to have any chance of keeping things working smoothly. I don't think it's going to be a game for every fan of factory-builders, it's really frustrated me several times already, and I hate to have to mention it but it is early access so we don't know 100% what the final product will be so it would be much easier to wait and see how it develops. That said I am enjoying it - it's just kind of hard tbh, lol.

I have just started it a few days ago and gotta say it really got the optimisation spirit for it. It‘s definately different than factorio and the start is probably even harder, figuring the systems out. So far i have done zero behavior programming and have just spent time optimising logistics which works fine. It‘s a big plus for me (with no coding expierience) that it‘s relatively optional but still teasing enough to try it. I would definately recommend and will play through it now and then again in a few years.

how do you know all this ? lots of trial and error? special briefings from the developers? a manual or wiki that regular folk don't have access to? Regardless... thank you for your videos... i played the original demo and had hoped it would be great so i purchased it..... but i spent over 10 hours on the game with no success and zero enjoyment... .. i will watch more of your videos and maybe i will reinstall it and try again.

    • @TotalXclipse

It is the basic programming, in order to do the more advanced coding, I need everyone to understand the basic functions - that's exactly what this is about. I'll be covering advanced coding later.
