Thank you. Very clear and concise without confusion and actually getting distracted by playing the game like so many others

One good tip for a enjoyable start is to set Resources at least High.
Resources run out too quickly on Normal, forcing you to expand further, worsening your logistics before you can even figure out what to do
    2nd tip
It's a good idea to make a Deconstructor bot since there's no way to remove buildings otherwise.
What people don't know is that you can drag the Go to command on the Deconstructor bot to the target of the Deconstruct component,
This will allow you to select the Deconstructor bot and right click a building to make it deconstruct that building without needing to drag and drop.
I'm pretty sure Nilaus doesn't know about this for quite some time.
    3rd tip
Miner bots can select a storage to dump their ores to, as covered in the video.
Said storage need not be a storage building or a building at all.
What this means is that Miner bots can dump their ores to a Bot and Transport bots can then haul from this Bot to wherever your base is.
Since the miner bots dump their ores to this Bot, why not make it the center pillar of your mining operation?
Slap some generators, batteries and a power pole to it and now it can supply your miner bots with power on faraway mining operations while using it's storage space to collect all the ores from the miner bots.
Now on how to keep powering the mining operation, I leave it up to you to figure out

I'd like to add that it's a good idea to slap behavior controller and a radar on such bot as well, so they can look for nearby resources, move to them automatically and issue command to mine them to miners via a signal. This require a tiny bit of programming, but mostly just to call radar instruction with input from visual channel (where you set specific ore type) and "mineable" filter, push result to signal, set number 3~5 on signal into a variable A and call to move unit on that variable to move toward the ore it found, but stop a few steps away from it (that's why set number) to let bots to mine it unmolested. Mining bots should just read signal from their storage either with the help of behavior controller or simple signal read and links in UI between inputs and outputs. As for example, for a while I've used a twinbot blueprint with 2 miners and signal reader. Storage was linked to Signal Reader input and SR output was lined to targets of two miner components installed on it. Later on I started replacing that with behavior controllers for more refined behavior, but it did the job for a long while. I just wanted a bit more control over it.
Specific implementations of powering this setup depends on current level of technology. Initially 5-10 workers with poles set to follow each other at a distance of 10~15 steps with the help of behavior controllers will do. That is instead of building fixed chains of buildings toward nearby ores which you may end up building eventually anyway. Later on this could be replaced either with single internal energy cell (same as one you start with) or a dedicated power-bot for specific end-game materials. All of this to make mining as automatic and hands-free as possible.
Funny, but in the late game that all devolves back to behavior-less miners, but that's out of the scope of starting tips.

Just picked up this game on sale. It's been in my wishlist for months and never really got around to it. I wish I'd picked it up 10 months ago.
My tip for miners is to setup your miners with a hierarchy of sorts. For example, I have teams of 3 (or more) miners all following a "miner foreman," with 1 or more runners. Set all the miners to mine a specific material AND to GOTO and store materials with the foreman. The foreman doesn't mine, he just finds the sites with a portable radar and receives the material. Then set the runners on a transport route starting with the foreman and ending in whatever storage you prefer. I find that this works quite well because the miners stay with the foreman instead of wandering around, they move on to another field once one is depleted, and nobody moves except the runners which gets tons of material to your base quickly. Set the PR to keep your foreman in your logistics grid for optimal performance otherwise your runners will lose power and won't be able to effectively operate though. This shouldn't be much of a problem since it's super easy to expand your grid.

thank you. just recently got the game and this will help.
the put the mining lazer in building i actually did very early on. blueprints that new to me in this game, did not know you could. (3000 factorio)

Here's an interesting idea, when you start the game, don't deploy the Command Center and leave it as a Bot.
You don't get a Bot with 2M slots until much later on

@@Ic0nGaming The Command Center idea came about as I started a new game and was sick of trying out different seeds for a good starting location. And I decided to go scouting with all my Bots. Since I knew that you can put a Fabricator on a scout, why not put it on the Command Center? And since the Command Center has 2M slots, I could put an Assembler and a Robotics to make stuff without even settling down.
This game really allows you to think of a different way of doing things, instead of bringing stuff to the factory, you bring the factory to the stuff
