Pretty sure the reason garnet wasn’t able to stop the game was because the game had so many future outcomes to the pattern that it sorta put her in a position where her power would go though an infinite number of viable outcomes to the pattern so basically a future vision loop
Especially because from what we saw, the game had no max level it just increased speed meaning the game itself would never stop until the player lost but since Garnet doesn't need to eat sleep or even breath and she only had to do simple movements to keep playing she could keep playing for a very long time before it would begin to tire her out.
I have always wondered, where on earth does Garnet, Amethest and Pearl even get the money to buy half the things for Steven? I mean after Greg became rich I could believe he gives them money to buy Steven stuff, but before when he was just barely getting by, himself, I could not imagine him having the money then to spare to give to the Chrystal Gems. So it has always confused me how Garnet and the other gems could afford to buy things like food and other things like the toys, phones, tvs clothes, ect for Steven when none of them ever had a job nor knew enough about human culture to understand getting a job, or even how to handle money.
Even without Lapis, You can feel the Lapidot relationship in this comic. This whole issue is about how Peridot's develop new feelings for Lapis after she realized she can't be with her anymore.

With sapphire’s patience and Ruby’s stubbornness and competitive spirit, you can’t really wear her down, and with future vision, it’s impossible for her to be beaten; and thus she could play literally forever if she wanted.
Peridot does know what video games are. When they are drilling to the cluster she references the "dpad" on the controller. There's no she's know what that is without at least knowing what videogames are. And this happened before lapis joined and left
