People are hating on the impressions and like fair they don't sound that close to the original, mostly for Peridot, but like that's kind of what I like about things like these. People putting their heart and soul and voice into these projects, instead of striving to perfectly replicate the original. Don't get me wrong, as someone who's not fully watched Steven Universe and only watched clips this is a canon interaction between Lapis and Peridot in my eyes. It's just like if all these people ask for perfect recreation that's what they'll get, even if it ruins the value as a fan art in the process. Plus you did a good Peridot impression. It wasn't 100% accurate persay but it sounds nice.
This is so well made!! I love seeing fan works with so much effort put in like this. The art style, the dialogue, and the expression in the voice acting!! Even if not everyone ships this, this type of interaction was so needed between them (even if Future didn’t have any room to do so itself). I must reiterate: this is amazingly done.
The characters, the dialog, feels like it’s from the show! This is amazing, I love how you show their personality in their expressions, even the subtle movements & hands are really nice ^^ It’s funny, the issue I always found with lapidot was people sweeping everything lapis did under the rug. Whether it be act like nothing happened, or have peridot be worryingly eager to forgive, the ship always felt fake and sometimes even toxic to me. It’s super refreshing to see something where they do talk it out, they figure out their issues rather then run from them. Amazing work! 👏
I am sorry, but I will back this statement up for the rest of my life. Fans are better at creating scenes between between characters in any series better than the actual creators
While this is very much true fur Steven universe (since Sugar was too high and mighty to hire anyone as script writers), it cannot be said for every single piece of media that has been made. It's not even true for most of them. Owl house fan comics, while hilarious and adorable, still come a bit short of the show itself, for example.

I have shipped these two since seeing the series and apart from some producer or whatever claiming Peridot wouldn't even go down this path romantically, I highly disagree and Lapidot for life. Rebecca Sugar has indicated some interest in possibly returning to the series sometime down the line so hoping Lapidot becomes canon.

the shot composition in this is absolutely amazing, as well as how well drawn the HANDS are at various odd angles and perspectives I started giggling a bunch when Garnet showed up just to watch
I honestly don't know what the Crew plans the series had for these two, but this completely sure that if the mini arch of the Lapislazuli of the planet mother had spread and would have introduced Peridot into the conflict, it would have come very similar to this and made the series even better. But, like I said who knows what the crew wanted, if they didn't work them more, it's because they preferred to leave it there like it was all sorted out. Anyway, I still have to congratulate you on the fact that you managed to capture in a fascinating way the essence that the series had for this kind of situation and it was fantastic for them. I'd like to keep seeing more work on your part related to fanfiction.
