Really chuckle how you were, say not to smooth or comfortable yet with these early videos, compared to now where everyone is a pro. Have to admit I find these early ones fun to watch to see how far you have progressed. Who would have dreamed a million subscribers back then.
ok, so it's settled! Farmers are not dumb hicks. A farmer is equal parts gardener, laborer, heavy equipment mechanic, Commercial truck driver, accountant, scheduler and parent/spouse at all times. Cool job you got there bro!
Hey brother you deserve some cold beers and good steak off the grill you know how to put great videos together man you got your shit together more than most and you're smart then you know what's going on in this farming Community nowadays you know a lot for your age and I think it's wonderful man there is a guy I was watching for the last 4 years or so was my favorite Farm in Channel but this is my favorite Foreman Channel now and I'll support you and your family anyway I can on here and just wanted to say not just thanks for a great video but thanks for being such a great farmer to help supply for the world always a big thumbs up stay safe buddy and keep doing what you do man☺☺👍👍👍👊👊😎
Another wonderful video. I love how you keep all your equipment looking like new and how you maintain it. I'm sure you have earned a couple of cold ones Thanks
love the work you do helping give people some insight into the work and knowledge involved in ag today! from another millennial farmer, if you use a 1/2 inch battery powered impact for those pesky cultivator jobs, you won't miss dragging the air hose around!
As far as my husband and I are concerned, you have the best farming channel here on CensorTube!!! We want to see you obtain at least, 1 million subscribers!!!!!
Good video. You're obviously progressing well there as a farm. If you're looking for video ideas, I'd love to hear more about the farm history. something like, when we got our first cab tractor, or when we went to an 8 row planter.
I am amazed on how you keep everything so clean and tidy and do the work that needs to be done in a farm, I watch the One Lonely Farmer all the time he's an all right guy and I love watching his videos he always gets thumbs up from me yet he has everything in a mess which he claims it's because he hasn't the time to tidy up due to amount of work he does around the farm, this makes me wonder, do you hire outside people to clean the place up to keep it so spanking clean?, which is nice to see.
Maurice Zammit We don't hire anyone to clean. I haven't watched enough of onelonleys videos to remember if he has livestock but animals take a lot of time. On top of that I have been cleaning a lot lately! Also, our main shop is only 2-3 years old so we haven't had as much time to collect things in it!
WOW, think I subbed you back around 100, and you are growing very fast. Your excellent videos are paying off. I am the year round part time guy for an all green farmer with operation about like yours, except we have our co-op do all the spraying, fertilizer, and nitrogen applying. Keep up the good work with videos !
that setup on your digger to hold the sweeps is sweet. knew John Deere had it but never seen them. I hate changing sweeps. I would like to see more about your seed plates. does it use air to hold the seed in place? you sure have some nice equipment there. very organized also
just came across your channel. great videos keep it up!! I can easily see this being the top farm channel on RUclips in a year or so with content like this! Only problem I see is the is nor IH Red paint! lol keep up the good work!!
I was working for my farmer friend and he decided to change all the'''rabbit toes''on the field cultivator;he has a JD 960 so the toes are held with flat held bolts;he had to torch them up so they would unscrew more freely; i unscrewed one of them and i put my thumb on the still-hot head...ouch!I still have the white scar from the burn it caused!!!
We use a kinds and a JD no till seeder here in PA. It gives us a higher yield cause one year we tryed it by leasing a a case IH 7m cultivator we lose more tiled especially in the alfalfa and soybeans
When you were working on the digger I noticed you had twine on there. That is very common for us because we spread manure from our cows on almost all our fields. It gets very annoying taking it off when we refill our John Deere 4640(our digging tractor).
Nice machines and farm👍I have 1200 acres farm and John Deere tractors too ☺ and this JD corn planter is very nice machine 👍 Greetings from central Europe ☺ Nice Easter ☺
Your welcome thank u for all the hard work u do a lot of people don't know we're there good comes from and I used to farm and I do miss it a lot thanks for the videos reminds me of my old farm days
Haha, I know of several Dutchy farmers here in the northeast that would take old field cultivator teeth and weld 2 together to make one good one... looks like Deere has a different design to prevent that?
If all the plates are the same, what's done to calibrate it? Always nice to see how new ag equipment works. Got an old JD 7200, plants with -25% accuracy..pos
Mitch Gibson The biggest tip I can give you is to be careful with the outside edges! Those big cultivators hang out farther than they look and can get into rock piles and phone lines quickly! We also don't like to run them too deep. Deep enough for a nice seed bed, but shallow enough to prevent compaction from the tractor having to pull so hard.
Anderson Farms This is the only roller we have ever owned. Probably had it for 10 years and never had any issue with it other than it has about 400 grease zerks and sometimes a few of the bearings won't take grease. Never had a frame issue.
MN Millennial Farmer ok, ares also has some grease fittings that won't take grease sometimes but all equipment has that sometimes. the neighbors have a newer rite way and it's been fine so we'll have to see. we're thinking about getting a different one next year
Right after we plant our soybeans, we roll over the top of them to make the ground level and smooth. It helps us to be able to run the combine headers against the ground more at harvest time without picking up small rocks, etc.
Muddy Springs No. Dad is full time with me and we have a couple of seasonal guys. None of them would ever want to be on camera though so I always try to work around them!
This video kind of got me concerned. You should really wear ear protection when working with pneumatics and hammering in steel construcions. Those sounds are really harmful to your ears. =/
Really chuckle how you were, say not to smooth or comfortable yet with these early videos, compared to now where everyone is a pro. Have to admit I find these early ones fun to watch to see how far you have progressed. Who would have dreamed a million subscribers back then.
I'm a small town farmer and it's always nice to watch some larger scale farming and someone who makes good videos and explains stuff like u do thanks
kaleb cook Thanks for watching!
No problem thanks for making the videos
ok, so it's settled! Farmers are not dumb hicks. A farmer is equal parts gardener, laborer, heavy equipment mechanic, Commercial truck driver, accountant, scheduler and parent/spouse at all times. Cool job you got there bro!
Gotta love that tool for changing shovels! Best thing ever made!
Welcome back hope all goes well for you this spring.

love the work you do helping give people some insight into the work and knowledge involved in ag today! from another millennial farmer, if you use a 1/2 inch battery powered impact for those pesky cultivator jobs, you won't miss dragging the air hose around!
Really enjoy your videos...wish we could see more but thank you for a great channel.
As far as my husband and I are concerned, you have the best farming channel here on CensorTube!!! We want to see you obtain at least, 1 million subscribers!!!!!
Garland & Darinda Remington III That would be crazy! Thanks for the kind words!!

Nice presentation. Thanks.
Good video. You're obviously progressing well there as a farm. If you're looking for video ideas, I'd love to hear more about the farm history. something like, when we got our first cab tractor, or when we went to an 8 row planter.

Looks like you guys keep plenty busy, very goo video.
Thanks for the video.
Nice organisation! I don’t know a lot of people around me in Belgium that does the same! 😂
Love your videos by the way. Pretty entertaining
Great video man! Keep them coming thanks!

JGM Thank you!
This video makes it right about One (1) Year now since you started this channel, 33 videos ago ✅
Great job with the videos.
fire up the grill sounded good. very nice shop you got there.
You need to come to Moultrie Ga in Oct for three Ga Farm Expo. Pretty big event.
that setup on your digger to hold the sweeps is sweet. knew John Deere had it but never seen them. I hate changing sweeps. I would like to see more about your seed plates. does it use air to hold the seed in place? you sure have some nice equipment there. very organized also
great video thanks.
Great video!
I wish back in the day I wanted to start farming but I can still kick my self in the hind end for not doing it keep up the good work love the videos

You know you are getting in work when you outside working in a T Shirt.
Love your videos

Love the vids.
Jason Procai Thanks!

jaxsonino2 We get it from a landlord who has cattle and bails a lot of corn stalks. We have had it take out bearings a couple of times.
That's the same twine that's claimed to be 100 percent biodegradable. In like 100 years, I suppose...
57fitter I have thought that same thing many times
I use the plastic twine myself, but I try to be vigilant about keeping track and not getting it on the fields. It can do a job on bearings.
Love the vids!!
Nice machines and farm👍I have 1200 acres farm and John Deere tractors too ☺ and this JD corn planter is very nice machine 👍 Greetings from central Europe ☺ Nice Easter ☺
BOHDYYYY Thank you, same to you!
Love the vids man
hicksboyz media Thanks for watching!
Your welcome thank u for all the hard work u do a lot of people don't know we're there good comes from and I used to farm and I do miss it a lot thanks for the videos reminds me of my old farm days
Nice looking toter home and big race car trailer? What kind of racing do you folks do?
MN Millennial FarmerLike how you have your part room put together and how you have the air like station in your work area.
Haha, I know of several Dutchy farmers here in the northeast that would take old field cultivator teeth and weld 2 together to make one good one... looks like Deere has a different design to prevent that?
Dantheman10463 That wouldn't work with these!
If all the plates are the same, what's done to calibrate it? Always nice to see how new ag equipment works. Got an old JD 7200, plants with -25% accuracy..pos
Very cool it, here the system is different, if it is from there, it breaks everything
i wish i could run your equipment love to learn how to run all of it
What is the advantage of having tracks at the back of the planter? That must be an added option. Never saw tracks on a planter before.
Ben Burns They're made by an after market company. We like them because they create a lot less compaction in our heavy soils.
I run a 4830 as well I have problems with the chemical like atrazine hanging up in the booms ends so I put a air purge kit on mine
Nick Blank We had serious issues with our atrazine in our sprayer last year (top air-pull type). Haven't had any in this 4830 yet.
How does the seed get from the main tank through those long flat tubes to the row tank? Compressed air? Love the videos.
B Laquisha The seed travels through the small, black tubes. Basically compressed air, yes. It's technically a vacuum system that pulls it through.
Nice farm we farm in SA 10 000 acres and nice video😉
Thanks for watching!
little off topic but what size is your shop and doors? Love the finished ceiling and organization of the operation.
Kevin Buchanan 72x120. The doors are 16 feet and 18 feet tall. If I remember right the 2 main ones are 24 feet wide.
I love your videos I'm 13 and this is the first year I'm running a cultivator by myself can you show us how to run one and strategies thanks
What part do you think you'll have most trouble with?
All the auto steer and going around the fields to start and stuff like that thank
Kris Cipywnyk forgot to tag you
Mitch Gibson The biggest tip I can give you is to be careful with the outside edges! Those big cultivators hang out farther than they look and can get into rock piles and phone lines quickly! We also don't like to run them too deep. Deep enough for a nice seed bed, but shallow enough to prevent compaction from the tractor having to pull so hard.
Mitch Gibson The auto steer isn't tough at all if you're just using the 'straight track' settings. Once the owners show you that, you'll get it.
Good to see ya. What's your thought on rollers. Been looking at them and not sure about smooth or the ductile packer type.
What is the row spacing are you running? Why not run 36 or 56 row bean planter and get more bean in ?
Trohrback2002 we plant everything in 30" rows and haven't seen any advantage to plating narrower rows.
Was it Parker hose?
How do you like the degelman roller? We have a older rite way that has had frame issues.
Anderson Farms This is the only roller we have ever owned. Probably had it for 10 years and never had any issue with it other than it has about 400 grease zerks and sometimes a few of the bearings won't take grease. Never had a frame issue.
MN Millennial Farmer ok, ares also has some grease fittings that won't take grease sometimes but all equipment has that sometimes. the neighbors have a newer rite way and it's been fine so we'll have to see. we're thinking about getting a different one next year
Why don't you just run the sprayer tire up on block of wood to lift it off the ground a little so you put the duel on.It work great for us
Because there were no spacers on it yet so we had to remove the inner bolts as well
Do you have two track tractors
Mitch Gibson We do now, yes. an 8360 and a 9560
Do john Deere tractors have no gears? Because new Holland tractors have no gears.
Toby the gaming pro it depends on the tranny you choose. Our 8360 doesn't
all you the only one that works on the farn
Mj Montenegro no, my dad is also full time and we have 1 part time guy and some seasonal guys
is this a family own operation or do you work for someone?
Odd Hobbies Family operation. Just Dad and I as full time guys. 1 guy who helps us off and on year-round and 2 seasonal helpers.
Eny time
How many people work on the farm
Jaco Groothof Only Dad and I full time, with 1 part time guy and a couple other seasonal helpers
how many rows is the planter? what row spacing?
Theo Pautsch 24 row, 30 inch spacing
also, I forgot... real estate speculator too
...sort of
if you was in my town I would like to help you to do things
How many acres do you farm?
Jaco Groothof 2,500
is that a 50 foot digger
V Thompson 55
how many acres u guys farming?
Gage Hahesy 2,500
Do you apply pop up fertilizer
Do you apply pop up fertilizer at planting, in the seed furrow ?
Pierre Perrin Not anymore. We tried it several times in side-by-side trials and it never translated to a yield increase.
at the end of your video I seen a big yellow roller in the background... I've always wondered just what exactly are they used for ?
Right after we plant our soybeans, we roll over the top of them to make the ground level and smooth. It helps us to be able to run the combine headers against the ground more at harvest time without picking up small rocks, etc.
Ok thanks for the reply :)
what kind of tractor on the planter
Quentin Proehl 8360RT
thanks
do you mostly work alone
Muddy Springs No. Dad is full time with me and we have a couple of seasonal guys. None of them would ever want to be on camera though so I always try to work around them!
MN Millennial Farmer oh I understand that too !
You were using the wrong hammer on the chistles. Should of been the pink you hammer
what series peterbilt is that on the sprayer trailer
Neal Huck Kenworth W900
Oh it looked like a peterbilt
I'm a farmkid I farm for living
This video kind of got me concerned. You should really wear ear protection when working with pneumatics and hammering in steel construcions. Those sounds are really harmful to your ears. =/
