    Dude, you're a Walking Dead fan. Cool.

      Damn right! It's awesome, all of it. The comics are amazing, some of the best cliffhangers in comic book history. The show is brilliant. Love it so much that I even love Fear the Walking Dead. That said, I've only read up to issue #68 in the comics. I plan on doing a marathon read of the rest at some point, maybe when they reach 200, that way I can take a week off and read them all in one go :)

    Is this the lead singer of System of a Down?

    • @chycho
      @chycho  7 лет назад +3

      No, just someone that loves their music: chycho.blogspot.ca/2012/12/system-of-down-hypnotize.html

      +chycho You're fielding the questions about Serj Tankian with humanistic, jovial patience :-) Btw, this book by David Brin had been on my to-read list for quite some time: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Transparent_Society

    • @chycho
      @chycho  7 лет назад +4

      hehe... I loved the Serj and System of a Down comments, gives me a chance to link to my piece and every few times I read it again and then crack up a few tunes, or loop an album :)
      That book seems interesting. As you might have guessed from the previous video I've spent a lot of time reading and researching privacy and anonymity. Based on the wiki page, I'm on the same mindset as Bruce Schneier, in our current system the transparent society concept will not work since we don't all have the same level of access to information and data. Maybe some day soon we'll change that... wonder what's on the other side of that asymptote :)

    I had to click out of curiosity he's very excited about math which is endearing but not exactly relaxing… or asmr-y

    Great video, as always. Fun and relaxing.
    Quick unrelated question for you: are you a marxist? (or do you have any sort of marxist "tendencies"?)
    Cheers.

      @budddees 7 лет назад +1

      Damian OScara doesn't seem like an unrelated question at all. These ideas seem very influenced by Marx to me. I'd love to hear some ASMaRx

    • @chycho
      @chycho  7 лет назад +1

      I agree with, James, the question is valid. For me, I've learned over the years not to associate myself too closely with any one philosophy or system. I think there are positives and negatives with everything, some more than others of course. That said, I don't believe any institution or individual has the right to govern anyone else.
      I'll gladly, for the most part, answer any specific questions that you may have relating to specific key points, if I can that is.

    1. The rate of return is lousy because federal reserve keeps interest rates at zero. No fund is hitting any asymptote any soon.
    2. Capital comes from savings.Without savings you cannot do anything. Capital is good, not bad.
    3. The system we have now is not capitalism. It is consumerism. That is why we are broke. We dont have any savings. But a ton of debt. Hence our economic problems.
