- Minecraft Server. A little late, but today we head back to the Hurtin Hermits project to add "Level 3 - Pain Labs". I take my own poison and attempt to complete an entire run of the game. Then we check out Tango's Minecraft Among Us game.

@@derrickstorm6976 in literally every other season he quit months and months before everyone else did though. And he did put out a video today. A lot of people take breaks, but he still lasted to the end of the season.
@@derrickstorm6976 that's basically been his schedule for most of the season. he has 3 other series unlike the others who only post Hermitcraft since that's better for their channels

I believe this is the first ever hermitcraft season he’s stayed through until the end. So happy to hear that smile through his recordings. Super glad he’s not only growing as a MC RUclipsd again but having fun doing it!

this base is one of the most inspiring builds i’ve ever seen in minecraft. it’s so incredibly complex and creative and it mushes so much cool and random stuff together. truly one of my favourite building methods but executed with perfect attention to detail. this was amazing etho!!!! thank you for such an epic season of hermitcraft

absolutely, it's the most interesting way I've ever seen someone build a survival base. So much so that in my own world I'm building a base taking heavy inspiration from Ethos! It's so much fun to build in this style

Thank you Etho for the incredible Hermitcraft season! From the note block music to the decked out gameplay, every episode was incredibly entertaining. Looking forward to next season.

I was expecting that it was too obvious that you had to use the shield. So instead of an arrow being shot towards you, a fall or lava trap is triggered beneath you that you can only avoid by running.
nah, your more of a dummy if you get killed by the obvious dispenser
i was thinking you would have to throw the shield on the pressure plate to avoid a fall trap

@@akokate1151 I don’t think so, when keralis had the What is Love noteblock song at his base, he said he couldn’t play much of it on camera because of copyright

Etho has really been working a lot on his musical skills during this season, he's getting pretty awesome at it.

i recently started rewatching really old etho videos, and its weird to go from ethos deep voice, to this etho with a bright happy voice and tons of smooth editing

Voices tend to naturally feel deeper when you're trying to be quieter (lower confidence, not wanting to bother other people in the house, etc).
With more confidence, speaking louder also tends to up the pitch unless you're making an effort to keep it low.
I would say though that even his clear voice now seem really distinct, so it's not "bright as rainbow", it's rather "bright gray", in positive sense of course. But yeah.

I'm always thoroughly surprised at how things that seem disorderly in Ethos builds but then look amazing when complete. For the drowned trident farm you spoke of converting zombies for tridents but that was removed for Java in 1.13 snapshots I believe.
That is why I love etho
I swear Etho is the most unexpected RUclipsr on this planet.

I thought Etho had just decided to quietly let Hermitcraft end. So glad that’s not the case! I’m really looking forward to seeing more of you and the hermits (and the friends of hermits - Among Us crew etc!) and I love seeing you so active in the surrounding community as of late. As always, do what you want - but I sense a really fun immediate future for this channel and I’d love to see more
i hope he shows his stats in the last video. Im curious how much time Etho has on the server. Keralis and Cub are in the 70-80 day range. I dont expect Etho to be anywhere near that, but its always interesting to compare.
Etho spent a LOT of time on the server this season, so I'd say it will be close.

This was worth the wait. I really appreciate that you worked so hard this entire season. I’m so proud you made it to the end! I never doubted that you would put out a finale episode even though it looked less and less likely as time went on since episode #36. But now I find out this isn’t the finale, it’ll be the next one and what’s more, a server tour and you’ll break the 4th wall to explain your thought process in detail?! Once again, you spoil us. Please leave your enderchest contents/named tools for us in a chest or shulker box. Cub put his at spawn. He did it in season 6 as well and he was the only one to do it (everyone else placed it at their base). I don’t really care where you put it but it would be nice if you placed it at spawn as well.
Hurtin’ Hermits looks super hard and I can’t wait to play it asap. You were so creative with the levels! I loved the look/design of the lab. And thanks for showing your fails in playing the levels, it really shows off just how difficult it is.
That round of Tango’s Among Us was amazing from your perspective (and Tango’s!). Too bad it glitched out at the end. Would’ve liked to have seen you get another kill or two or maybe you would have just voted out with an emergency meeting right away. We’ll never know! But I am so impressed with Tango’s dedication to the game and glad to see it actually get played. Unfortunately, not the case for Hurtin’ Hermits. Thanks for giving us the coords!

I’d love to see Etho explore the Hurtin’ Hermits idea further in Season 8. I would love to watch the Hermits play through it and try to improve their times on the leaderboard. Especially Tango ;)
That level three of Hurtin’ Hermits looks amazing! The ceiling is beautiful and you nailed the Portal look. I’m going to be drawing heavy inspiration from that, thank you!

Shield durability is a sort of a "timer" for the last couple of sections in LVL3. Player can not dwell too much because they will loose the shield completely. You can "adjust timer" by giving players damaged shields at the start. Overall I am extremely impressed with your projects and can not wait to try the course after the world download will become available. Thank you, Etho.

I would love it if hurting hermits became a creative series and Etho released the map afterwards. Could even be multiple maps.
For the next season, it would be really interesting if you set your theme around flying machines, so your farms? All flying machines, shops? Sells flying machines, base? Mobile flying machine.
You could make different docks where you could load / unload while constantly moving your base around the map to be able to take in the other hermits bases while remaining elevated above them all. Storage would have to be chest minecarts but you could incorporate something like your mountain base in your LP world where the carts can automatically move from your base into the dock where they can then interact with whatever. Such as you fill a chest with items to smelt, then fly over to the smeltery dock and send the chest over, then fly off elsewhere then when you return the smelted items to back into the Minecart chest and rolls back onto your base.
Or you could have a mob farm and when you line it up with a shoot then drop a Minecart or two down to collect the items, then when they are full they get sent up via another flying machine.
Your base could then double as your shop, so hermits would build a compatible dock on their base and request you visit, then you fly over to their base and trade, then you fly off again to go elsewhere. Just imagine docking on Tangos base and suddenly loads of minecarts start jumping onto his dock to unload potions then they jump back full of iron. This would also allow you to get to see the new cliffs and mountains close up, without having to keep your base confined to just 1 location.

Hurtin Hermits is a very fun and challenging game, mad props to Etho for coming up with such a brilliant and creative concept!
My absolute favorite is the part where you have to proceed while dodging the minecart skeleton's arrows! That part is so tense, but also exciting!
I gotta say, my favorite episode from this season was the 55 minute one where there were a ton of Decked Out runs. I had had a pretty exhausting day and I came home to that. It was like a movie night

Definite Legend of Zelda vibes from this last section. I would love to see you team up with Tango to get some of these mechanics into a game next season. Arrow shield as a key is so satisfying because it has discovery the first time, then execution for all future times.

I don’t play Minecraft I only play 2 games really. Yet here I am. Etho you turn MC into a learning experience. Color palettes, decision behind block choices, here and there red stone, and an all around good person behind it all.

For a direct reference to Portal, you could call the shield the "Companion Shield" and then, to open the exit you have to toss the shield into an incinerator of some sorts. Golden opportunity right there :)

I love how etho is still creating invention to this day that people are constantly using, like the hopper clock or the ender porter which they were using in the among us game mode. So awesome!

Hurting hermits is great and I can't wait to give it a try! Maybe you can get a hermit to login for your world tour and see the pain happen from above haha, but either way it's been an amazing season, with lots of great projects and collabs.
I just finished all 3 levels of hurtin' hermits! Took me 40 minutes start to finish, maybe I'll upload a video at some point, but it's not very exciting gameplay. I had to go to a single player world at one point to check the physics of slime blocks... turns out holding space when you fall on them makes you not bounce as high!
I just finished - It took me twice that long and 189 deaths, haha. I had to switch to creative temporarily to restock the snowballs at the start of level 2.

I do love that we got some between rounds discussion for Tango's game. From the other 4 videos of the games I've seen, it's just one game that the footage ends without anyone actually talking, so thanks for uploading that part Etho.

When the world download come i hope someone would take over the project and add what etho could not like a timer, a lobby and all those and maybe a few more levels.

Etho’s base from this season is my favourite minecraft built of all time. This mew style of his is just something else! An absolute masterpiece. The only reason I am sad the season is ending is because we won’t get to see how far Etho and BdoubleO could take their bases.

Hurtin' Hermits is the perfect speed running game. There's so much variability both in skill and luck that people could be getting better times for months, even years! I really hope once the world is released, people use this or a rebuilt option and it becomes big.
Part way through this season I wanted to ask, "What on EARTH has gotten into Etho???" because of just. how. freaking. GOOD your content has been, especially comparing the sublime Hermitcraft episodes to previous seasons where you were somewhat less engaged.
Some highlights, for me: making "What Is Love" for Keralis even tho it was barely shown on camera; noteblock BGM; stellar editing; random bamboo appearances; a trolly base that turned out to be beautiful; that livestream where you chilled with Tango exploring his Among Us game; the Shade-E shops; and peak Etho humour throughout the entire season.
Well done, my friend, SO very well done.
