What was the symptom before replacing. I’m getting a knocking noise going over small bumps at low speed. Changed drop links front and back and top strut bushes but knocking still there. Thanks
Did you check antiroll bar bushes? I got same noise on bumps, and looking here for info, so I know where to start. If not antirolll bushes, then these from this video for sure. Will try))
In Astra J there is widely known problem with knocking front shock absorbers, despite being fully functional they are loudly knocking on small bumps and potholes, maybe there is similar problem in Insignia.
Replace both arm with a new ones, done alignment and now there is a terrible bang and clunk on potholes. Checked again, all tight. Btw tightened the under the load. Also clicky and rumble when pulling. Is there a chance that because I was moving the knuckle and strut on side to fit that wishbone, the strut on the top became loose? Going to check this one tomorrow and maybe torque it bit more…..
@@terranoid7300hi mate, did you find out what was causing the problem, I’ve just done both arms aswell and having a knocking noise when pulling away in first gear.
Good video thanks 😊
Did you use the old bolts?
No these bolts are reusable
Question. Need I make adjustment after replaced it?
Did you not need to remove the ball joint in order to get the arm to pivot enough out?
No I didn't
