Tucson Police has a lot of challenges they need to overcome, but Kasmar has been the first chief in recent times to recognize and push for meaningful change in the department. Honestly I wish he was able to get more support from our local government to attract more officers. This would allow for more calls for service to be responded to in a timely manner even if they’re low priority calls.
Kasmar is a great police chief not only for Tucson but for the state of Arizona and really anywhere. Only other examples I can think of that are great like him are Benson Police Chief Gregory Volker (Benson Arizona) and Cochise County Sheriff Mark Dannels. I recommend interviewing those two if you ever get the chance. Great interview video! 🇺🇸
I live in Tucson. Crime here is horrible. My next door neighbor got into a gunfight with a drug dealer. The PD fired a ton of officers for not getting vaxxed. Sheriff Nanos is horrible as well. Never forget what they did to us.
Going all the way back to Dupnick, they are heavily influenced and push by Democrats, which in turn are socialist/communist agendas, which is crushing the city and county. SMH, keep your heads up, people!
Sounds like a good plan. I just wish they had more funding and more support. It would increase training and legal knowledge among officers, it would help reinforce the community, it would increase the capacity of mental help for officers, and it would help filter the bad apples who decide to abuse their power against the community they serve. I wish Tucson was a more thriving place to be.
Tucson was once a wonderful place to live. I live just outside of Tucson, but our family will be moving in the next year. I grew up just outside of Tucson, in Avra Valley when I was a kid, lived just off of Orange Grove road in my 20's , and then moved out to Vail, for the better schools for our children.... The city has become an S hole in the last 20 years, especially South Tucson... When I was a kid it was very White, clean, and safe, now it is just Mexico North... The TPD generally suck, they show up when they get around to it, but the Pima County Sheriff out where we live now are great... But the illegals and all the bad elements are still moving outward... So we are going to be moving next year...
I know what you mean. I've lived out in AV for about 25 years now and things have changed quite a bit and not for the better unfortunately. Unless you want to move to Oro Valley or Dove Mountain because it's still kept up pretty well. I agree the Sheriffs department is great but MPD, TPD, and OVPD need to step up their game.
Too bad the mayor the city council along with the Pima county board of supervisors and the da don’t let them do their jobs
Pima county is a trainwreck. We need leaders like Pinal county Sheriff Lamb.
I work for him. A good chief in an otherwise understaffed department in a democrat-riddled city and county.
Oooof, that's tough. Unfortunately it's far too common.

Good for you chief. Sounds like you really care and we need more of that in this country. God bless you and be safe

That’s my amazing chief!!! so happy to be working under him!

Thats what makes you the best Sir... from your boys across the training grounds 👍
Tpd has been suffering for years from weak woke leadership and poor retention/recruitment . It will take decades to fix
Gotta get rid of the mayor and city council and the board of supervisors and the weak da
Sometimes change comes in very small steps. Hopefully this will be one of the first towards improving things that need improving.
I live in Tucson...I dunno man.
Dang Arizona is stacked with great sheriffs
He isn’t the Sheriff. Sheriff Nanos sucks dong.

Sounds like he watched “Blue Bloods”. Good.
Mike whats your thoughts and opinion on that frank sloup sheriff out it Arizona who does the RUclips channel Fridays with frank lol
I think he's awesome, and to see more positive interactions with officers and the public is always a great thing.
Fentnyl is bad, really really bad. I was ignorant about that 😢
Congratulations to you.
Very cool, go Tuscon. 👍👍
Daym Havnt seen a video from you in 6 months...

Very true, Pima County Sheriff is great. But TPD sucks quite a lot, and you hardly ever see them on traffic stops.
I don’t trust him. I support the few Officers we have left. Other than that, I’m gonna leave Tucson before it turns into Seattle or Los Angeles.
