The reason I love this album so much is that it really represents a time in Cudis life. It was around this period that he was going to rehab (don't know if it was before or after). You can obviously hear the Man on the Moon Cudi that is drowning in his pain but you can also hear his hope in these tracks. Idk how popular PP&DS is in the Cudi community but I've always felt like it was his most underrated album. Great video like always : )

Being a long time cudi fan, a lot of his older songs will always be on the top for me, be it from MotM 1 and 2, or wzrd, and other projects. But, over time, listening more and more, as a whole project, Passion Pain has probably become my favorite. Like, the level of production, writing, and feeling (vibes) from Cudi here is just out of this world and something that I can never see anyone else put together. It is just something with the place Cudi was at in his life and what he was going through that developed this album. In the new Zane Lowe interview, Cudi mentioned how he makes his best stuff when he doesn't have an album in mind, maybe that also was part of it. I can imagine that when and artists is free in their mind to just create, their best stuff comes out. And Jon, I do agree with the idea of this Frequency that Cudi is on that just takes you somewhere.

The reason why many people find this underrated is because the frequencies and hymns is the main point of this where cudi brings it out the most and uses as healing imo
