Hi Bobby!!! Great news! Finally after downgrading and losing the sound and ability to call.. I decided to bite the bullet and just go ahead with the UPGRADE process .. just followed all the instructions in your UPGRADE video and it went smoothly!!! Everything is working fine now ! Thanks again for all your support and keep up the good work! You are a good man! :)
Thank you SO MUCH! This is the perfect video with perfect step by step that I needed. A+, would recommend this video to a friend. To anyone who reads this comment in the future, I was on Verizon Galaxy S4 running Touchwiz 4.4.2 and this got me back to 4.3. Now for cyanogenmod!!
I tried this....and although it seemed to work flawlessly.......the phone itself would'nt really work afterwards, couldn't make or receive calls. Don't understand why. Had to knock it back up to Kit Kat.
Thanks bro! WORKED GREAT Back To STOCK MK2 :) NC5 is nice but has a locked boot so its no fun if you cant run custom roms, Than you so much for this been looking everywhere!
Bobby Techknow Quick question though, my sound doesn't seem to be working. Do you have any idea as to why that is? For instance, when I use the volume controls to max out my volume there is no ding ding like usual.
Take a look through the video comments. What has worked for others was to Downgrade then upgrade to KitKat before rooting. The KitKat update should fix the sound. Otherwise, you will have to root your downgraded phone and install safestrap then flash some modules that help with sound.
a lotta folks may be able to qualm their steely nerves by rooting first using geohot's towelroot method. google: towelroot xda, then read/study/conquer! i had to use oldschool methods: surges downgrades, gogolies mods, etc. etc. geohot towelroot rooting wasn't even around yet massive thumbs up and thanks to all xda devs/android devs!
Hi Bobby, Thanks again for the great video and for providing all the help through the comments section. So the error that I was getting yesterday ("succeed 0/failed 0") was apparently due to missing Samsung modem drivers on my computer. Basically when I connected my phone to the computer I let the Win OS to install the drivers (by letting it search Windows Update). After that everything went great! There was a minor glitch when I went to the second step where you upload the Downgrade_system.tar file... the Odin window froze for few minutes and even displayed "Not responding" on the top of the window..but I patiently waited and it resumed on its own.!!!
Awesome! I've always let my computer install the drivers naturally. I usually switch from media device to camera a few times and toggle USB debugging so I don't miss a driver. I also boot into recovery and download mode so those drivers get installed too.
Bobby Onesios No sound though after the downgrade. I read at several forums about sound issue... The xda forum link says that Flashing the NC2 hlos should fix the sound.. I have no clue what is that.. any idea?
Daen chanter Give this a shot. Flash in Safestrap www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23269279319198900 Its from this forum forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2487298 Let me know if this works.
Daen chanter I'm sorry I don't have a video to root but I have the program www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358540204 . Unzip it on your computer, hook up your phone and click on "install.bat" From there, the program will tell you what to do next. Once that is set up you can install Safestrap 3.72 and open it like any app and hit install recovery www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23487008491966751
say bobby: im using safestrap 3.72. do you kinda know if this is some kind of virtual bootloader? i know to post this q on xda but a lotta peeps on utube might want a quick answer, especially w/ locked bootloaders. know anything more about the vzw nc5 kk gs4 bootloader unlock in august?
I was able to downgrade and everything seemed fine. Except now no videos will play. Or record. As if some video driver is missing. Any ideas on how to fix?
Read somewhere that the locked boot loader scenarios is because Samsung might want to switch to the Tizen OS and be released from the Google grasp. Ain't that wild?
My next android will most likely be a thl w11 or w200s. I'd really like an octa-core w/ at least a 400dpi res. My gs4 has got me spoiled. I'm sick of locked this and that. Gimme that black market renegade phone that has at least some support on xda.
At this point, I would try a factory reset and see how that works. You can also redo the downgrade process just in case something didn't transfer right. Also, make sure your external sd card is in good shape. If you are trying to record to your ext sd than it may not work right. Try recording to your internal memory.
Not at all. That will come into play if we can unlock the bootloader. We probably won't see that ability til August according to my sources. So, downgrade/upgrade away.
You might. For some reason, every phone acts differently so you never know. Make sure to read over everything in the forum linked. Actually, the original post. Also, take a look at the other comments. Some of your questions could be answered there too.
Does anyone how to fix the no sound, no phone, no audio, no video issue on this phone? I read all the comments and tried flashing the files below in safestrap and still no sound. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Bobby Techknow Hi what are the contents in the I545VRUEMK2_Downgrade.tar.md5, I545VRUEMK2_System.tar.md5, I545VRUEMK2_cache.tar.md5 files? Can you please let me know as soon as possible? Thanks
I have one more questions since now I am downgraded to jelly bean MK2... do you have any video of rooting jelly bean MK2? and also how to install safestrap after root so that I can continue to your next video of Upgrade to Kitkat
Hi, I follow the instruction but the think is that my samsung S4 wont reboot. I was whit the 4.4.2. If u cant help me It would be grate cause I cant buy a new one.
Correct. Well at least the mk2 deal. Your kernel can be slightly modified but not too much. You can still downgrade but your bootloader will stay nc5. Your baseband version will change to mk2. If you downgrade, make sure you flash the correct modules for NC5 or you may not get sound to work.
Good question. You will have to root and install safestrap. You would need to wipe the "System" along with dalvik, data, and cache. If you do that again, the custom dissappears. I goofed and didn't wipe anything. It wasn't a big deal though because I immediately rooted my phone after I did this video.
Bobby Onesios I'm not sure if this helps any but i had the custom logo before I even thought about downgrading. But to get rid of it I just deleted the Safestrap from the SuperSU app and then rebooted a few times eventually it went away
This downgrade will not unlock your bootloader. Our bootloaders are still locked. Yes, bricking can still happen if you are not careful. Unfortunately, we won't be able to install cyanogen mod just yet. Maybe one day.
Okay I've done all that was showed and said on the video. My question is does your phone have too be rooted in order too do all this. If not I'm having some issues. I'm not able too play any music i have no sound. I cant make phone calls. I've also tried too flash the modem but that still did not work.
I have a problem....when i link s4 to the pc....pc doesnt know it....odin doesn't know it ..... id:com is empty ...only this problem to go ahead and finish PLEASEEEEEEE!!!! You show that you s4 is already connected to odin..
great... i change clabe and usb port and it read... i start the process....but it stay much time on set partition...do not turn off target...in your vid it doesnt stay so much time..in the phone in download mode there is a little little blu linee that doesnt continue...
I want to downgrade Kit Kat to Jelly Bean because I didn't know I can upgrade it on the computer and I upgraded it on my device (galaxy s4 mini) and now I have only a little storage space left (because the upgrade was 1 or two 2 GB big). Afterwards I want to upgrade my phone to Kit Kat again (on the computer :D). So should I or shouldn't I?
odin says FAIL! (Auth) can anyone please help me. also this made it so there is absolutely no way to use my phone so if there is something in the settings im fucked

Works on all devices. 100% working Verizon Galaxy S4 KitKat**DOWNGRADE**to Jellybean
Bobby Onesios So after i finish the first file it will reboot, during that time i take the battery out, then put it back in and then do the second step, etc.?
I'm not positive. Try this forum post forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2720163 This seems to be the only running forum dealing with downgrade/upgrade procedures. They may help you out.
At this point, I wouldn't. It may be possible but everyone in the XDA forums keep talking about downgrading to NC5 which is still KitKat. I don't think it will hurt to try. Just do your research and look at the XDA forums for guidance.
it says fail in my odin i cant use the same file as you i have sgh-m919 samsung galaxy s4 4.4.4 i want 4.3 or 4.2 so what is the firmware image if you know do me a huge favor and send the link thank you appreciate it! :)
good day i just tried to dowload this...but suddenly theres different instruction that i couldnt understand .. there maybe i downloaded the wrong one's can u give me the proper link to be downloaded...there exe.zandig that appears im so confused .i really want to back to jelly bean hope you consider my concern.....thank you somuch
Sorry about the troubles. The website Android file host can be a little confusing. The only download I have is from the links in the videos. If you go back to that website scroll down a little until you reach the "begin download" wait a few seconds and the option to download begins. Pick the primary download. If that doesn't work, try one of the mirrors.
I never rooted my phone before it was forced to Kitkat.. it has nc5 .. since it was not rooted I don't have Safestrap installed.. can I still downgrade? You mention in the video that if safestrap is not installed i can just pull the battery out.. is it at the point where it is showing the "unlock" icon?
Yes definitely! Just make sure your computer recognizes your phone. Meaning, go into download mode, connect usb cable, and make certain Odin sees your phone. Then go to your stock recovery (hold volume up, home button, and power when phone is off) and do a factory reset. Then begin the process.
No, but some people were experiencing sound and WiFi issues after downgrading. From there you could root and install safestrap to flash the fixes or just naturally update over the air to the newest OS available.
Could i downgrade from 5.01 lollipop to 4.3 jellybean i have a gs4 rogers canadian i337m it lags now and i dont lag really no benefit of lollipop for me other than looks so i would have performance over looks
shashaank srivastava I'm not sure. I probably wouldn't try it. The only phone I know of that works is the Verizon S4 which doesn't have lollipop. I hear you on the performance factor. I'm wondering if you have a bad app or the lollipop didn't update so well. As of right now, I'm not sure what else you could do other than factory reset your phone and go from there. My Nexus 7 has lollipop and it runs like a top. I really enjoy it but I haven't had the chance to mess with it on a touchwiz system like yours.
I'm not sure. When you dowgrade you are changing up the partitions of the system. After that, this procedure loads the modules needed for Verizon. Try looking into this forum here: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2720163 This forum is still running and has tons of information for you.
Hi Bobby, As soon as I did the first step i.e. in download mode in Odio when I select the "..Downgrade.tar.md5".. it gives me a message "Checking MD5 finished Successfully. Leave CS".. Then as per your instructions I clicked on "Start" but I immediately got a message "All threads completed. (succeed 0/failed 0)". And nothing happened. Any idea what this might be due to? P.S : I did a factory reset before doing the above
After you did the first .tar flash, did you exit out of Odin and restart it? Leave your phone in download mode and try that downgrade .tar as many times as needed until your phone takes it and reboots.
Michael Jagneaux I reverted to a factory restore with odin & it has sound again, but it's back on 4.4.2 oddly, with kitkat I cannot send mms messages. I tried yesterday while it was on 4.3 & it sent them
Michael Jagneaux Root your phone, install safestrap and flash this file: www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23269279319198900 It may take care of sound problems. Let me know.
(And sorry if I have mistakes or something like that, my first language isn't english ;])
I saw a Verizon logo . Is this method works only for verzon or international phones as well I have I 9505 . And 1 thing more are these files are coustom or orignal jelly beam without coustom ? And please let me know about performance after degrade any bugs or lags? Thanks
hey dude. can i downgrade to mk2. uninstall SS and install twrp and run CM10? please let me know. or else i will be downloading eclipse rom. waiting to hear your reply. thanks in advance.
im guessing the same goes for CWM as well.. thanks for your quick reply and thank you so much for your instructional videos. will defintely be flashiing eclipse rom over the weekend.. tired of touchwiz. lol
So Bobby, I did your download, which worked as instructed. However, when I downgraded to the stock rom, I have no sound. I can't make or receive calls, I can't play music, I don't hear the keys touching nothing. Do you have a solution to this problem, did anyone else experience this?
Yes, it will work. However, it's only been verified through the forums and not me. Before you start, go into your stock recovery and do a factory reset.
hello friend, wanted to ask you a question. You can install the original stock rom to galaxy verizon samsung sch-I545 S4 ?. the truth is that much bothers me the message that says "SIM is of unknown origin." greetings
You can install the original stock ROM. My downgrade video links you to the necessary files for a stock ROM. If things get a little crazy, like SIM card issues, try out this forum: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2720163 There are a lot of people talking on that forum and they will be more than happy to help out.
Hi Bobby!!! Great news! Finally after downgrading and losing the sound and ability to call.. Thank you! I posted a comment to one of your earlier posts by accident but I'm very glad everything worked out.
i downgraded back to jelly bean and flashed the file for sound but its not working please help :(

i have done this 2or3 time and work fine but no sound
i have try nc2 file but no sound do you flush this

Thanks! Been Looking All Over for this ::D
I tried this....and although it seemed to work flawlessly.......the phone itself would'nt really work afterwards, couldn't make or receive calls. Don't understand why. Had to knock it back up to Kit Kat.
Great work !! tanks so much!!
Thanks bro! WORKED GREAT Back To STOCK MK2 :) NC5 is nice but has a locked boot so its no fun if you cant run custom roms, Than you so much for this been looking everywhere!
You are very welcome!
hey am not getting sound. how do i flash it in safestrap?
Thanks for the clear instructions! :D
For the no WiFi or sound issue, I heard you should use: clockwork recovery
I LOVE YOU
Thank you so much! I thought I bricked my phone!
Nice i like this tutorial im from philipines and i realy understand this tutorial..thank you ;)
My man, thank you so much for this video. Saved my ass big time, once again thanks.
You are very welcome!

Bobby Techknow doesn't the KitKat update bring me to 4.4.2 which isn't possible to root yet? I have a Verizon I-545 if that helps.
I was able to root using towelroot. It's pretty much a one-click root app. towelroot.com
i wan't to downgrade my galaxy s4 from lollipop to kitkat, so how am I to do it.
a lotta folks may be able to qualm their steely nerves by rooting first using geohot's towelroot method. google: towelroot xda, then read/study/conquer!
i had to use oldschool methods: surges downgrades, gogolies mods, etc. etc.
geohot towelroot rooting wasn't even around yet
massive thumbs up and thanks to all xda devs/android devs!
Can i downgrade my LG G2 ? Please say yes I hate KitKat
Unfortunately, I don't think so.
I already did it two weeks ago. I was looking for the exact version 4.2.2 which I found somewhere online and I am so happy now! !!
Idel Louis please help me I have the same issue I have installed kit Kat on my LG g2 and I want to downgrade it
Where else do i get these files. The website is down completely. there has to be somewhere else.
Hi Bobby,
Thanks again for the great video and for providing all the help through the comments section.
I have no clue what is that.. any idea?

Bobby Onesios But I am not rooted ( not sure how to) so no Safestrap :(
Daen chanter I'm sorry I don't have a video to root but I have the program www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358540204 . Won't work with US Verizon & ATT models - locked bootloader.
say bobby: im using safestrap 3.72. do you kinda know if this is some kind of virtual bootloader? i know to post this q on xda but a lotta peeps on utube might want a quick answer, especially w/ locked bootloaders.
know anything more about the vzw nc5 kk gs4 bootloader unlock in august?
My phone gets no baseband and no service error when I downgrade from lollipop to kitkat any solutions man
What was your build number before the downgrade?
I was on I545VRUFNC5.
Thanks.
you are great !
it works for me
Thanks A LOT
You are very welcome!
Hello bobby i have done the some sequence but it says pre partition error
so for this procedure my phone should be rooted?
I was able to downgrade and everything seemed fine. Except now no videos will play. Or record. As if some video driver is missing. Any ideas on how to fix?
Read somewhere that the locked boot loader scenarios is because Samsung might want to switch to the Tizen OS and be released from the Google grasp. Ain't that wild?
Very wild. It'll get harder and harder to root samsung phones in the future.
My next android will most likely be a thl w11 or w200s. I'd really like an octa-core w/ at least a 400dpi res. My gs4 has got me spoiled. I'm sick of locked this and that. Gimme that black market renegade phone that has at least some support on xda.
I agree
The downgrade works on 5.0.1? GOF1? please i need to go back to JB
thank you for the video.. will be upgrading today, nice to have this in case I screw up :)
Amen!
is it the original release for jelly bean?
Its the last original release for jellybean.
ok ty :)
the NC2 modem give you sound but no wifi
Excelente me sirvio mucho, mi teléfono ya no se traba.
gracias c:
De nada
hello I have a problem maybe you can help me, I go to youtube but the videos do not load, and the video camera recording says error
At this point, I would try a factory reset and see how that works. You can also redo the downgrade process just in case something didn't transfer right. Also, make sure your external sd card is in good shape. If you are trying to record to your ext sd than it may not work right. Try recording to your internal memory.
Hi I'm How To Downgrade s4 mini 4.4.2 to 4.2.2
is this tutorial works for other smartphone??
s4 mini will this work...
Hey I did this and my phone won't play any sort of audio (music, video, etc) could you please help me by telling me a good way to fix this. Thank you
No sound even after flashing in safestrap and odin and using another modem zip from NC5 4.4.2
The deciding factor is this: will that set the Knox void warranty flag or whatever it's called?
Not at all. That will come into play if we can unlock the bootloader. We probably won't see that ability til August according to my sources. So, downgrade/upgrade away.
i want to back to jelly bean cuz kitkat reduced my s4 speed idk why
:(
Will I lose things like sound, Wi-Fi, calling services etc....
You might. For some reason, every phone acts differently so you never know. Make sure to read over everything in the forum linked. Actually, the original post. Also, take a look at the other comments. Some of your questions could be answered there too.
why have a custom logo at here?
Does anyone how to fix the no sound, no phone, no audio, no video issue on this phone? I read all the comments and tried flashing the files below in safestrap and still no sound. Any help is greatly appreciated.
mine stays in set partition
How do i get odin to detect that my phone is plugged into the computer???
You have to make sure all your drivers are loaded. If Odin doesn't see your phone, you might want to try a different cable or a different USB cable.
so my phone was unlocked before this what will happen to it
Depending on what build number you are on, you might lock your bootloader for good. What build number are you on?
oh its all good now everything is fine. thank you for responding back
Bobby Techknow Hi what are the contents in the I545VRUEMK2_Downgrade.tar.md5, I545VRUEMK2_System.tar.md5, I545VRUEMK2_cache.tar.md5 files? Can you please let me know as soon as possible? Thanks
Bobby Techknow How is the wifi when i downgrade to 4.3?
I have one more questions since now I am downgraded to jelly bean MK2... do you have any video of rooting jelly bean MK2? and also how to install safestrap after root so that I can continue to your next video of Upgrade to Kitkat
I have 4.4.4 kitkat and want to replace it with 4.2.2 JB whether the same files, I need all the duos?
hey I downgraded and have no sound. I need to flash the modem, but don't want to root as I am going to sell.
im stuck at start partition and it gives me fail
Re-Partition operation failed.
All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
Hi, I follow the instruction but the think is that my samsung S4 wont reboot. I was whit the 4.4.2. If u cant help me It would be grate cause I cant buy a new one.
saludos, amigo y se puede regresar de lollipop a kitkat????
I took the OTA to the nc5, does that mean I can't downgrade to the mk2 kernel anymore?
Correct. Well at least the mk2 deal. Your kernel can be slightly modified but not too much. You can still downgrade but your bootloader will stay nc5. Your baseband version will change to mk2. If you downgrade, make sure you flash the correct modules for NC5 or you may not get sound to work.
Bobby Techknow Damn I just want to get a lollipop rom
Trust me, we all want to as well.
If I did this, would it allow me to put Cyanogen Mod on my Verizon GS4?
Sadly, it won't. Our GS4s have a locked bootloader which prevents us from doing lots of things like installing cyanogenmod.
Okay, I'll have to stick with my Hyperdrive ROM, I was just hoping to get an Android 5.0 ROM a little sooner.
I hear that. I'm on Hyperdrive as well and sbreen94 is planning on dropping a lollipop version sometime in mid March.
Omg that's awesome!! You just made my day man! :)
Will it be based off of 5.0? Or just themed like lollypop?
is this for all s4 or just a certain model?
Right now, I know it works with the Verizon version i545. I used it to root my phone and my wife's. It shouldn't hurt to try.
just curious..after you rebooted the phone a few times after the downgrade, did the "custom" boot logo go away?
Good question. You will have to root and install safestrap. You would need to wipe the "System" along with dalvik, data, and cache. If you do that again, the custom dissappears. I goofed and didn't wipe anything. It wasn't a big deal though because I immediately rooted my phone after I did this video.
Bobby Onesios so would wipe in recovery mode like you did at the end, or wipe in safestrap?
biikman1 Wipe in safestrap first. Then boot into download mode and begin.
Bobby Onesios I'm not sure if this helps any but i had the custom logo before I even thought about downgrading. But to get rid of it I just deleted the Safestrap from the SuperSU app and then rebooted a few times eventually it went away
So is this how I could get rid of the locked bootloader on my s4 so I can install cyanogen mod I had heard downgrading would brick your phone
This downgrade will not unlock your bootloader. Our bootloaders are still locked. Yes, bricking can still happen if you are not careful. Unfortunately, we won't be able to install cyanogen mod just yet. Maybe one day.
is it possible to do this on the s3 without loss of any data
I'm not sure.
All this is for the S4 not the SIII. You have to research for your phone model, rarely other phones are the same in stuff like this
hey i cant get cache.tar.md5
ow can i get cache.tar.md5????
Okay I've done all that was showed and said on the video. My question is does your phone have too be rooted in order too do all this. If not I'm having some issues. I'm not able too play any music i have no sound. I cant make phone calls. I've also tried too flash the modem but that still did not work.
i am not getting the boot its says fail how cloud i fix this i have a core2 kitkat 4.4.2
I have a problem....when i link s4 to the pc....pc doesnt know it....odin doesn't know it ..... id:com is empty ...only this problem to go ahead and finish
PLEASEEEEEEE!!!!
You show that you s4 is already connected to odin..
Sometimes you have to try another USB cable, USB port, or different computer. Everything must be greened up before you begin.
great... i change clabe and usb port and it read... i start the process....but it stay much time on set partition...do not turn off target...in your vid it doesnt stay so much time..in the phone in download mode there is a little little blu linee that doesnt continue...
repartition failed
DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!
Re-Partition operation failed.
All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
i have an Austrian S4
is this tutorial also compatible with my model ?
I'm not sure. Check out this forum and ask away: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2720163

Backup all data. You'll need to do a factory reset before downgrading. After its all done, you can restore data.
Bobby Onesios Ok. Which would you prefer, by a SD card or by pc?
Bobby Onesios So after i finish the first file it will reboot, during that time i take the battery out, then put it back in and then do the second step, etc.?
will this work on the nb4 kitkat also?
I'm not positive. Try this forum post forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2720163 This seems to be the only running forum dealing with downgrade/upgrade procedures. They may help you out.
Ty 4 your help
Can I downgrade from NK4 to previous versions, like Jelly Bean with no issues?
At this point, I wouldn't. It may be possible but everyone in the XDA forums keep talking about downgrading to NC5 which is still KitKat. I don't think it will hurt to try. Just do your research and look at the XDA forums for guidance.
If you did it ota will it set off 0x1 on Knox warranty flag
Not at all.
@Bobby Do i need to root the device before doing all this?
Not at all.
do you have to be rooted before you have had the upgrade to nc5? because i got the phone from verizon with nc5 so i dont want to make a mistake
it says fail in my odin i cant use the same file as you i have sgh-m919 samsung galaxy s4 4.4.4 i want 4.3 or 4.2 so what is the firmware image if you know do me a huge favor and send the link thank you appreciate it! :)
good day i just tried to dowload this...but suddenly theres different instruction that i couldnt understand .. there maybe i downloaded the wrong one's can u give me the proper link to be downloaded...there exe.zandig that appears im so confused .i really want to back to jelly bean hope you consider my concern.....thank you somuch
Bobby Onesios Great! Thanks for the quick reply! I will start the process as per your instructions
Daen chanter Good luck! And take your time. Make sure everything is in order.
Bobby Onesios dude thank you!!! This is the answer I've been looking for :)
Do you have to have your phone rooted?
No, but some people were experiencing sound and WiFi issues after downgrading. From there you could root and install safestrap to flash the fixes or just naturally update over the air to the newest OS available.
Does ist work´s on the s 4 mini?
Unfortunately, no.
How i used this method for Sprint l720t?
I have no idea. You may be able to do more with your Sprint model. My Verizon model is very limited.
stucks at set partition
can i flash the official firmware 4.3 after this steps? by odin...
You should be able to. Just make sure you have the correct file.
I have gt-i9505 can i use files from your links..?
Definitely not. I'm not sure you can downgrade that model. You have to make sure everything matches up with your cell carrier.
Thanks a lot :))
Hi Bobby , this works for verizon kitkat NG6 s4 ?
Good question! I'm not sure. I know it works on NC5. I'll have to look it up.
My Baseband is I337MUMUFOA1 will this still work?
I don't think so. I wouldn't try it.
I really enjoy it but I haven't had the chance to mess with it on a touchwiz system like yours.
can we use this method for samsung galaxy tab 3 smt210r ?
Not with these files. There may be a similar process for your Tab. You'll have to check the XDA forums and see for your specific device.
+Bobby Techknow thanks
where can you find the firmwares? mine is GT-N8000. pls help me :(
Here you go: www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ just navigate through to your device. Good luck!
is this works also on note 10.1 n8000 kitkat 4.4.2 ?
and its not rooted too ..!!
I wish it could. But unfortunately, it doesn't.
does it inclide factory recovery
It does not.
You will have factory recovery.
Okay well I still don't have sound
Try this forum: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2720163 There are a few ways to fix your sound. Go to the first post and take a look.
Can I just flash all the downgrde files and then the 4.3 tar
I know this is for verizon but will this work for t-mobile downgrade to 4.2.2 and working wifi?
I'm not sure. When you dowgrade you are changing up the partitions of the system. After that, this procedure loads the modules needed for Verizon. Try looking into this forum here: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2720163 This forum is still running and has tons of information for you.
Hi Bobby,
As soon as I did the first step i.e. in download mode in Odio when I select the "..Downgrade.tar.md5".. it gives me a message "Checking MD5 finished Successfully.
Bobby Onesios Ok cool!! Will give it a try... I am assuming all this time I keep the cable connected to the phone. Thanks!
Daen chanter yes definitely
Can it work on S3?
Unfortunately, no.
Thanks
can i use it on my asus fonepad 7??
I'm afraid not. It's sad to know each phone requires different things.
the sound its no working !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does this work fo the sprint version of galaxy s4. My baseband version is L720VPUFNG2
This procedure will not work for NG2.
What procedure will work for my device?
It all seemed to work fine, reverting back to jellybean. Just now I have no sound. (calls, music, youtube, keypad sounds, nothing)
Were you previously on the KitKat over-the-air update?
Yes i was
Michael Jagneaux I reverted to a factory restore with odin & it has sound again, but it's back on 4.4.2 oddly, with kitkat I cannot send mms messages. I tried yesterday while it was on 4.3 & it sent them
Michael Jagneaux Root your phone, install safestrap and flash this file: www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23269279319198900 It may take care of sound problems. Let me know.
Michael Jagneaux I'm sorry, downgrade to MK2 first. Then root and flash.
(And sorry if I have mistakes or something like that, my first language isn't english ;])
I saw a Verizon logo . Is this method works only for verzon or international phones as well I have I 9505 . And 1 thing more are these files are coustom or orignal jelly beam without coustom ? And please let me know about performance after degrade any bugs or lags? Thanks
As far as I know, its for the Verizon phone. The files flashed in Odin are specific to I545. I haven't seen any performance lags either.
Thanks for your reply!!! and i m international user . Its mean you are not recommend me this .bcz its verzon ?
sunny khan I wouldn't recommend it. If you do, be ready to recover your device if something goes wrong.
Thanks bro. I appreciate
sunny khan no problem.
hey dude. can i downgrade to mk2. uninstall SS and install twrp and run CM10? please let me know. or else i will be downloading eclipse rom. waiting to hear your reply. thanks in advance.
Unfortunately you can't install twrp. mk2 came with a locked bootloader and ever since, we can't install twrp. SS is the only way to go for now.
im guessing the same goes for CWM as well.. thanks for your quick reply and thank you so much for your instructional videos. will defintely be flashiing eclipse rom over the weekend.. tired of touchwiz. lol
will it work for s4 i9505
Unfortunately, no.
So Bobby, I did your download, which worked as instructed. However, when I downgraded to the stock rom, I have no sound. I can't make or receive calls, I can't play music, I don't hear the keys touching nothing. Do you have a solution to this problem, did anyone else experience this?
I have the same problem. Anyone have a fix?
Bobby doesn't give a shit about your problems.
Will this work with the Stock NC5 OTA as well. Do I have to do anything different?
Yes, it will work. However, it's only been verified through the forums and not me. Before you start, go into your stock recovery and do a factory reset.
worked fine for me :)
Annele B Awesome!
hello friend, wanted to ask you a question. You can install the original stock rom to galaxy verizon samsung sch-I545 S4 ?. the truth is that much bothers me the message that says "SIM is of unknown origin."
greetings
You can install the original stock ROM. My downgrade video links you to the necessary files for a stock ROM. If things get a little crazy, like SIM card issues, try out this forum: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2720163 There are a lot of people talking on that forum and they will be more than happy to help out.
Is anyone else here just so they can get cyanogenmod on their S4 until another update comes out to get around the Verizon/AT&T Bootloader?
