You’re welcome. We loved it. We plan to return and to actually stay on the Island for a few days to experience it all. It’s so calming and relaxing there. Thank you for watching ✨❤️🤗
Yay! Am so glad this was helpful. Oddly I almost didn’t make this video but am happy to see others find it useful. Now, pack me in your suitcase please:) hehe! Enjoy!!!!!!
I’ve been looking for some dope St Martin vlogs and this is one of the best! This is my vibe! Being around the locals, supporting local businesses, so much color, plus luxury. And it feels like you all really enjoyed yourselves and I love the island hopping to the other islands!
Am so glad to hear this! I love when I learn I share similar vibe with others! 💫✨💫✨Yes I love a mix of everything when I travel- local, luxe, vibe, exploring! We had a great time. Hope you enjoy when you go and thanks for watching!
I went to Saint Martin/ Saint Marteen back to back. I loved it so much that i couldn't wait a full year to return. The second time, I took the ferry over to Saint Barts. One of my favorite destinations. I want to go to Anguilla next. While i was on SB I went to Nikki Beach. You get a fashion show and are serinaded with by a guy who plays the saxaphone. It was so beautiful.
Ahh isn’t it such a beautiful country/ries?! So relaxing and laid back. I’d go back anyday too. St Barth is now in my must go and stay there list. It was just so NICR! We popped our necks into Nikki Beach while we visited on the day trip but our kids were hot and fussy so literally walked out right away! A saxophonist??! Wow, how amazing!!! I can’t wait to experience it fully! I want to stay in Anguilla too. I think I’d split my time 50/50 Anguilla and St Barths next time. Anguilla is soooo calming and peaceful. So glad you enjoyed your visits and thank yo for sharing your experiences
Hello beautiful, this was a great video, you made me feel as though I was there with you. I’m considering visiting soon. Do you mind providing the information for your driver in Sint Maarten?
Hiii thank you for watching. I am so glad you enjoyed the video. Yes here you go: Our Amazing Driver: Lucien (+590 69010 48 03). You can reach out to him via WhatsApp to start a conversation. Have a wonderful and amazing time ❤
Thank you so much for sharing!! I have a question, what did you all do for food and drink while staying in an AirBNB? Were there restaurants in walking distance, did you go the grocery store or bring in a chef. Just trying to weigh my options between a BNB and hotel.
I’m so glad this was helpful. We got larger groceries at the main supermarket and when ran out and needed just a few things we walked down close to the beach and grabbed it. The bigger supermarket is less expensive than beachside smaller one. Our driver took us twice to do bigger shopping. Day 1 and then I think day 4. We didn’t bring in a chef because by the beach there were plenty of restaurants and the walk is about 10-15mins. Happy to answer any additional questions
You’re welcome and thanks for watching. The ride was rather bumpy to go St Barths that day. The ride back to St Martin was better! I forgot my patch! I highly recommend you bring sea sickness patches! Here’s our driver info and I updated it in the description too. Thanks for catching that ☺️ Our Amazing Driver: Lucien (+590 69010 48 03). You can reach out to him via WhatsApp to start a conversation.
Thanks for sharing. Because of this video we will be doing all 4 destinations fornour 10th wedding anniversary in March 2024. How did you book the taxi in St Barths?
Yay am so glad to hear this. You will have such a memorable time! There are plenty of taxi’s right at the dock in St Barths to hire. If you go during really busy time, any shop or restaurant on the strip can call a taxi for you too. Just ask the average price since taxi is really expensive there. Enjoy your time and happy 10th Anniversary!
Thank you very much ! I'm going soon very helpful ! What time did you go? To st Bart Do you know it's possible to go from st Bart to Anguilla ? On the same day? How much did the driver charge each way? Round trip I would like to contact him? I'm going next month thank you so much.
Hi Edwanda! Happy to answer your question as best as possible ☺️. We left 7:30am from St Martin to go to St Barths. We got in about 8:35am to St Barths. I think you can go the same day but you’d be very limited in experiencing a great day especially in St Barths. If we didn’t have kids with us, we could have seen so much more in St Barths. We took the 4:30pm- the second to last ferry- from St Barths back to St Martin. For Anguilla you can definitely do a 1/2 day and the ride is shorter 30 mins. The beach is so pretty though that if you love the ocean, you won’t want to leave :) Our driver Lucien charged about $12-15 per person one way. He’s really excellent- on time and also gives the best advice. He helped us figured out our departure, gave us local tips, what to expect, do’s and dont’s. And he’s very responsive.
We will be in anguilla in August. We want to so go to St Barts. What was the ferry cost to go from St Martain to St Barts? Thank you for all the great tips.
Hiii I am so excited for you. You will have such a lovely time. The ferry cost from St Martin to St Barth’s was around €60 per adult. That’s roughly $65USD. This is where we booked our tickets: voy12.com/en. The day trip is 10000% worth it so definitely try and go.
Thank you so much for sharing, I’m planning go visit on end of August, the only thing I’m very worry about is the weather, I definitely don’t want to go there and stay inside all day with all the rain. I don’t know what’s the weather like on end of August.
You’re welcome! Ah totally get that worry! The rainy season begins in June but just keep a tab on the weather. Also, rain in the Caribbean is actually funny. Many times you’ll have a 10-15-20-30min or 1 hr down poor then it stops and the sunshines comes right back out so bright as if it didn’t rain. Also the rain is super warm in the Caribbean hehe! I grew up in Jamaica and maybe it was a norm but I loved it! So don’t worry, claim it that the weather will be be great and you’re gonna have a FABULOUS time ☺️
Hii, yes we basically had the driver the entire time. We just let him know time to pick us up and he was immaculately on time every day. He had a car seat in his vehicle for my then 3yr old and I believe he had a booster for my then 6 yr old niece. We requested that through when booking him. You can absolutely rent a car and the country is drivable and easy to get around. Hope this helps. Happy to answer any other questions you may have. Have a wonderful vacation
Hi! Lovely vlog! I didn’t catch if you only day tripped to St. Barts or stayed overnight. I’ve already booked my St. Martin trip for mid May. Staying at the Four Seasons in Anguilla for 2 nights but not sure I should add one night and just day trip from there to St. Barts or day trip from St. Martin to St. Barts. What is your recommendation?
Hi glad you enjoyed. We day tripped to St Barth’s from St Martin. If you can only spend 1 night in St Barth’s I would say just do a day trip instead and do the extra night in Anguilla. I feel like in St Barth’s it’s so beautiful that it’s either day trip or 3+ nights minimum:). Just try to get on the earliest ferry and return on the latest. Also you get a good vibe of if you want to go back and stay longer (we absolutely do & plan to) or not! Hope this helps :)
Yes, I’m 38 and my husband is 39 and we LOVED both and can’t wait to go back as a couple. I recommend both but it really depends on the occasion & budget. St Barth if you’re looking to do a really luxurious vacation/or celebrating a special occasion because it is really pricey there and Anguilla if you are looking for a slower paced, super relaxed vibe. My recommendation is to definitely Island hop so maybe split your time between both Islands :)
Hi Tynesha. I'm so glad you found it useful. Thank you for watching. I'm so not used to "vlogging' or capturing content this way but I hope to get better. Thanks for asking these questions. I have updated the description should incase anyone else have the same questions. Sharing it directly for you too below: To Book Ferry to St Barths: we used www.Voy12.com (make sure you book 48-24hrs in advance). There's another option depending if you're on French or Dutch side- www.greatbayexpress.com to book to St Barth's. For Anguilla, you don't need advance booking, just show up to Marigot (Ferry port)-Join the line and board the ferry. You pay while you are on the ferry. They will come around and collect your fare one way. There is also a departure and another tax/fee when you are leaving Anguilla. If I remember correctly it was a total for $32 for myself, my husband and 3 yr old. So plan for that. For currency, they accepted these everywhere: Currency on St Martin/en: Euro & USD. They accept both interchangeably and value them 1:1. Currency: St Barth's: Same, Euro $ USD, 1:1 Currency in Anguilla: $USD Happy to answer any other question you may have.
How far is grand case island ? From st maarten? I will be staying in st Maarten ? Thank very much very helpful I also left a another comment I'm a new subscriber 😊
Hi again, Edwanda. Thanks so much for subscribing, it means a lot. Welcome 🤗 So Grand Case is a little stretch of beach and eateries (unless there is an island- not sure). But from St Marten the Dutch side is very close maybe 15mins or so drive. The Island is really small so everything is within short distances. Since you’re staying on the Dutch side there is another ferry doc on that side that you can take to go St Barths and Anguilla too I believe. If you contact Lucien, he can advice. I remember when we planned, we had a St Marten doc and he helped us figure out the better departure point based on where we were staying in Orient Bay! Hope all of this helps. And here to answer any other questions, happily! HAVE THE BEST TIME EVER! I loved it there so much. ✨✨
Hi thanks for watching. We did use a taxi since it was only a day trip. It was extremely expensive. For about a 15 min ride it was $50USD. However, they have these little cars called Moki you can rent and drive for yourself around the Island. I’m not sure the price but it’s more affordable than multiple taxis. The Moki’s don’t have air conditioning either so think about that and the time of year you visit. We went in May and it was extremely HOT! Hope this helps. Any other questions, feel free to ask. Happy to answer.
@@keymaoliver Hi! We are going to St Martin's soon (mid January) for 14 days and want to do a 1 day trip to St Bart's. How much is the ferry allez-retour to St. Bart's? Also, since you said it was a 15 min ride by taxi, do you think one can do the walk / hike in like 30 min? Thx
Why would I not??? Eden Rock was so accommodating for kids. They even had coloring kits for them. The adults there were very unbothered and even came over to say hi to the kids! @@keymaoliverwhat a crazy person this one is. I love St. Barts, I sail into there all the time and my favorite island in the Caribbean. The French there are so chill and accommodating. They’re not snobs and in all my experience there I’ve never run into a snotty person; whether they’re wealthy people who own villas, yacht owners, local merchants, high end merchants, etc. Everyone is happy there and are always in a great mood. No Karens/Kens anywhere
