I can’t imagine how many tunes you have in your fingers from throughout the years to be able to casually improvise for 2 hrs. #respect
Piano Man - Piano Covers you would be suprised. A lot of piano players only improvise
I always wonder how much he does with his ears.
When I try to improvise I need the sheets, I could never be able to remember that much melodies as he does.
On that part I'm seriously jelous. I play for a few years and have a decent technique (Even tho I would never even compare myself with him). But in terms of improvising I won't really get better... I try to compromise that with learning a lot of more easy pieces I can almost play on sight. With that I build up a few hours of playing without any repetition... But everyone hearing me play more then once will get used to the pieces I am able to play.
Kyle Landry keep up your great work! Because of you I started 4 years ago and without you I would've gave up long ago. Your style is just unique. I can hear hours of hours of your music without getting bored.
You need to train your ear. Only be jealous enough to give you a drive to improve.
Building up relative pitch and understanding why songs sound the way they do gives you freedom.
@@bingbang6543 A lot of it comes from understanding music theory. The scale degrees and chord structures make up the transitions and help to expand where you are "Allowed" to go in your improvisations.

I nearly cried at multiple points in this concert. You pour so much emotion into these pieces, even in the shorter segments. I don't know how you do it. Thank you.

Nofan Felani I believe the reason for this is the fact that Kyle improvise a lot which makes it difficult to identify when a song is over and when a new one begins. Although, I am currently working on a list which has some of the names and most importantly, divides the whole medley into sections. You are willing to contribute if you recognize any song that I didn't

Kyle, can you do the land section of "Irate Eight" from Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze? Its melody is so short, simple, and catchy that I wonder how you would embellish it. I think it's a nice vacation tune, so could you somehow play up the vacation-esque vibe?

Kyle , isn't it difficult to play on an electronic piano after you played on several pianos ? I am in this issue 'cause my piano (thus its a really expensive one , and its pretty good) doesn't sound near as good as the real ones.
