@@ajarmour I didn’t get it initially. But may go back and add it. I did some damage to by Jeep kind off right where you did with the stock bumper. The side tubes on the AEV are super strong and attach to the frame on the front side then the rear bumper on the back. A lot of bumpers do not do that. License plate is in the same location as stock, it reuses the license plate light as well. Just a great bumper. In this case you do get what you pay for. I did the KC lites up on the hinge as well. Works great and if you attach to a switch panel you can have them flash if you want. Works great.
I run the AEV bumper without their tire carrier. I think you'll love it; it's ridiculously sturdy. I run the Evo MFG tire carrier instead of the AEV because I hate the way you have to get fuel out of the AEV tank. I run rotopax mounts instead and it's way easier to fuel up than using the syphon with the AEV one. I think you could probably run a 37 at the highest setting on the Teraflex alpha carrier and clear the AEV bumper, but not 100%. If you do that you'll have 0 visibility out of the rear view because of the tire height, so you'll want to get a digital rear view camera too.
I have the teraflex tire carrier reinforcement and it works really well. Also, I just put DV8 inner fenders in my Jeep and you don't remove the black trim you are talking about. That stays in place.
I have a 22 4xe Sahara. I went with the Fishbone Mako rear bumper and love it. I'm also looking at the Terraflex rear deck hinge add-on. I have Rhino wheels and 35 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MTs and the spare puts a little added stress on the stock hinges. The guy over at JL Life had a similar issue to you with the stock bumper.
Great videos, thanks for producing the content. I have a ‘22 Rubicon 4xe as well. Have you been able to re-gear your Jeep? Or, do you feel like you even need to with the powertrain?
I have not re-geared. When I bought the Jeep you weren't able to at the time. Not sure if that has changed. But I don't think I would if I could. It drives great and for the off-roading I do, performs just fine. Thanks for watching!
Love your build. Super clean . I am slowly building mine up 22 4xe. Got 3.5 metal cloak game changer. Just wondering if you have any vibration or humming in 4h auto. I set my caster to 6.2. Trying to determine if driveshaft or caster setting. Thanks for tthe input
I’ll probably always wish I had just gone for it when they were 72k new. But I waited and now they’re insane. Lesson learned. I like the 4XE but not as much as I would have liked the 392!
I installed the AEV bumper a couple months ago with the tire carrier. It is stout! Like how it takes the weight of my 37” spare tire off the tailgate.
That bumper is a strong contender for me. Did you pick up the gas tank as well?

Let’s fender chop it!!! Get some room in there for more flex.
We’ve got to figure out a way to keep some of that plastic tucked up in there.

Great insight. Thanks for the tips!
Or some Metalcloak fender flares painted body color
I did the Terraflex rear tire and its really nice
Yeah I like Tera flex stuff a lot. Definitely considering that

I hadn’t looked at DV8 but those liners look pretty nice as well.

I like those Baja Boss tires! I think I’m leaning toward the Tera flex solution.

Gas tank size has always been my worry as well.

I don’t have any humming. Not sure what that would be. I did swap out my driveshaft though. Have you done that?
What size is your lift?
It’s a 3.5 inch teraflex kit with 37s
Honestly I’m just gna save my money and hellcat swap my 4xe rubicon this whole 2.0 hybrid is just not for me
