When Scott Steiner was younger, he used to do a move where he would carry a wrestler, and some of those wrestlers were heavy guys, and do backflips while carrying them, not even on his shoulders but with his arms.
People forget Scott was a legit wrestler.

A real "wrestling" match? Steiner is an NCAA champion right? Goldberg was an amateur in MMA and not a good mat-based grappler. Scott would rip Goldberg to shreds in wrestling.

I don't think Goldberg had an actual MMA match pro or amatuer. He started training in mma after he was pretty much done with wrestling. But he is a natural athlete and extremely agile and powerful in his prime. Imo Steiner stomps.

Bill Goldberg , too fast too soon . Consider who was in WCW at the time , Booker T , Chris Benoit , Scott Steiner , ReyMisterioJr , The Giant and The Outsiders ; Hall & Nash , With these guys at the top and middle , WCW had plenty of time to develop Bill in dark matches . He had everything but experience and friends in the biz . A run witn a polished Goldberg and Giant would have been awesome . I would have kept the Giant on a streak , not someone as green as Bill . The Giant's schtick was to be big .
They had to push Bill he was a phenomenon for real, Eric Bichoff just wasn't savvy enough to protect him, and I don't think he was even in power anymore by the time Goldberg lost the title
The problem with Goldberg was that he was never put in a position where he would have to grow beyond his usual tired shtick. William Regal did have a "shoot" style match with him, but he got annoyed by that for some reason. Not the kind of person who was willing to grow and become better.
The Guys in the "bidness" who stay Humble are actually the ones that can Rumble.....nuff said. Cheers all

Scott Steiner and Bill Goldberg was two of the toughest freak athletes ever in pro wrestling. They both just had that aura about themselfs,exudes confidence toughness. I believe with ever fiber of my being if Scott Rick Steiner and Bill Goldberg did mixed martial arts. All three would have been champs/elite at the top of there division.

Goldberg only ever said he's going to try MMA, but never did. I doubt he would have done any good, and he knew it too. He lost a brawl to Chris Jericho of all people, who might be 50-60 lb smaller than Goldberg. He basically cowered like a novice eating his first punch in a boxing class.
Why does the title say Chael Sonnen? He's only talking maybe 25% of the interview. Should be changed to Vince Russo as he's actually doing the most talking and actually giving the opinion. Chael only gives his at the end.

Stone cold never took himself as seriously as Goldberg did, he knew he was a beer drinking badass which is what he was in real life, but he never thought he could beat up everybody like Goldberg did. Hell he even is on record saying he purposely fucked with the big show in the ring so big show would fire up and be more aggressive cause he knew big show was way better than what he was showing.

That said, Steiner was a legit wrestler with a massive physique. Goldberg was a defensive lineman in the NFL. In real life I'm sure Goldberg could take him down, but Steiner would fight his way out and win.
+Dana Chappell Steiner will pay the price for all those roids he's injected. In recent interviews he's very breathy similar to the ultimate warrior. It will catch up to him.

In a folkstyle wrestling match or any legitimate fight. Steiner could either take down Bill in 5 seconds and pin him immediately or just just torture him continuously.
I'll take this with a grain of salt. Bill and Scott have always been friends and comfortable with each other. Bill doesn't really talk smack to other people to shame and only does his job if he wants too, even if he is asked to lose to someone, and always get caught up with egotistical people. Chael on the other hand has always been a goof, especially when he so called predict Floyd Mayweather was getting played by Japanese in his match to Japan and suddenly began twisting his words afterwards.

Not in his prime,Steiner was extremely quick for a man his size. Injury forced him to change his character. He was a freakish athlete in the early 90's. He used to pull off the Frankensteiner,and was much more agile. I mthink in their prime both the steiners would have done well in MMA

Steiner was not more athletic than Goldberg or nearly as powerful. Maybe he could curl more put he couldn't move more weight from point a to point b as explosive or as fast as bill. This was quite obvious. Btw bill is probably more athletic at 48 than Steiner was 15 years ago.

Goldberg is tough enough, powerful enough,explosive enough, and generally "bad enough" to beat Steiner in a fight. An amateur match is not a fight. Goldberg still beats that ass regardless of the double leg or single leg takedown ability of Scott. Yes Jericho got the better of him but I see Goldberg destroying Jericho the other 99 times out of 100 and 90 out of 100 vs steiner

joske662 I should have phrased it better, Steiner, when he was younger, was more agile (the Frankensteiner from standing face to face is mindblowing in my opinion). But yeah, Goldberg did do a lot of cool stuff as well.

Hey tiz go watch goldbergs first match. He did several back flips in his career. NOBODY has had his size speed power and explosiveness ever in the ring. Brock is close but not quite. They both are on another level

Goldberg by far, was the most overrated performers in wrestling entertainment history. More overrated than cena and dare I say hulk hogan. If he gets voted in the Wwe hall of fame before Chyna and Kurt angle then the HOF would then be a joke and be no different than the Hollywood walk of fame where everybody gets a star.
