July 2023 - Film Permits

For July, the Visit NC Partner webinar looked film permits and why some local municipalities require them while others do not. The webinar focued primarily on travel/drop-in shows (typically in area for no more than a week), but also broach other types of projects. Among other items, panelists shared information on what "b-roll" and best practices based on personal experiences. Panelists included Rebecca Clark of the Piedmont Triad Film Commission, Jon Fillman from the Special Events Office with the City of Asheville, and Aaron Tuell of the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau and was led by Guy Gaster of the NC Film Office.
