There is a skeleton in a wheelchair with flowers looking at a grave at Mystic pines. That is sad but with what I found no back story... But I have a small theory. That skeleton was once a wife because of the pink dress. That grave was her husband because Mystic pines is what I think is a old folks home. So he died and there she is remembering the loss of her man. But the bombs fell and there are now together.

i love the little details on the dead bodies in this game there are many times where i find a skeleton and a few details here and there for example i once found a skeleton of a woman with 4 empty bottles of beer and an empty gun with a bullet laying around it you could come up with a theory like what this woman did she was to scared to kill herself thats why i love bethesda games they leave those little details around making you feel like its a real world and thats why the only RPG games i took seriously was bethesda's
cd project with The Witcher 3 has done precisely the same with these little details into dead bodies. Guess Fallout 3 brand was one of the good teachers for these guys.

He leaves a note stating that he hopes his death can satiate the angry mob up top. One of the workers on the site finds him first, locks the door, and lies to the wife about the mayor's whereabouts. She ends up locked inside a utility room next to the gymnasium at the bottom of the shelter, and ends up dying in that room.

There’s one part of new Vegas that made me pause and look away from the game for a moment. In Zion canyon you can find a bus full of tiny skeletons. Your companion says something about “the little ones”. They were a bus full of children that died before even the war. It hit especially hard because I realized that that kind of thing could happen any day. These games are excellent, is what I’m saying.
I love these types of Fallout videos! There is so much, tragic, backstory that so many players easily overlook. These videos are awesome in regards to revealing Bethesda's immersive, subtle story telling; the stories told really add an extra layer of "real world feel" to such an expansive universe. The saddest encounter for me was that. I saw two skeletons, one man and one woman. Both was sitting down on the bench. The woman head was between the man legs. Bruh, I would be very mad and sad if i die during receiving some some.
Thanks very much for posting this. It's one of the aspects of Fallout I think is understated, but very powerful. Growing up through the Cold War, I've often thought about where to be when the bombs dropped...but ultimately, if it happens, it'll just most likely be either at home or at work...simply becasue that's where most of us spend most of our time.
The 1st one in the bunker is 'meant' to be found via radio signal playing a looping message of the guy explaining the situation, his location, and pleading for help. It's actually a bit sadder finding it via radio, thinking they might still be alive, and having to fight through a shit ton of Super Mutants to get to them, only to find them dead.........and then you loot the place.
Hey Graenolf-the mother, Bonnie? You can find a holotape from her at the hospital she worked at. She survived the bombs, but was forced by the military to continue patching them up. She heard about the rest of the family's broadcast, though, and decided to run off and try to find them. It's possible that they got reunited.
With the grimness of the Fallout universe, I'd like to think the skeletons on those rocks are the boys and the theory is true, and Bonnie seemingly never made it out of the hospital. She mentions the military having taken refuge in the hospital, so it's likely that they killed anyone attempting to escape. It's likely that one of the corpses in the hospital - if there are any, I don't remember - is hers, gunned down as a result of attempting to escape. That brings another thought - when you think about the timelines between Wayne and Bonnie's messages, it seems more likely that they died. Wayne spent six months surviving in West Everett Estates until April of 2078, so this would have been set long after Boston fell and the government collapsed. Meanwhile, Bonnie mentions the military taking control of the hospital and "everything has gone to hell in the city," which would imply she's describing this in just the days after the bombs, before mentioning she's leaving. If she left that early, then she would have found them by now, especially after six months, seeing as how West Everett is not far from the city itself. This only furthers the likelihood that she died, and so did Wayne and his children, those skeletons likely theirs as other humans gunned them down in cold blood.

The story of Cambridge Polymer Labs would have made a great honorable mention. It was one of the most disturbing ones for me... It was just, how close were they to getting done with the research, and then due to them panicking, it all goes to hell.. When you visit the place, you still find the scientists as feral ghouls, the saddening terminal entries and holotapes, and the loyal robot! As soon as I finished the quest in that building i got so sad because i knew i would be missing something magical like this for a long time..! :'(
Also s/he can't nail down or drill the wood to anything unless s/he held it in place but sense it's made out of dirt it wouldn't hold but them when the bombs dropped the wood would be ripped of from the nuclear winds, which can travel up to around 200-300 mph, so s/he would most certainly die from the explosion, radiation, or mutant creatures, if s/he's lucky s/he might turn into a ghoul.

I came across a skeleton of a woman sitting in a chair in an apartment room. In front of her was Jangles the Moon Monkey, a Giddyup Buttercup with a cigar and a bowler hat on and a teddy bear ontop of a cushion all in a semicircle. There’s one part of new Vegas that made me pause and look away from the game for a moment. In Zion canyon you can find a bus full of tiny skeletons. Your companion says something about “the little ones”. They were a bus full of children that died before even the war. It hit especially hard because I realized that that kind of thing could happen any day.

I love these types of Fallout videos! There is so much, tragic, backstory that so many players easily overlook. These videos are awesome in regards to revealing Bethesda's immersive, subtle story telling; the stories told really add an extra layer of "real world feel" to such an expansive universe. Much props going out to your hard work my dude!

The saddest encounter for me was that. I saw two skeletons, one man and one woman. Both was sitting down on the bench. The woman head was between the man legs. Bruh, I would be very mad and sad if i die during receiving some some.
Thanks very much for posting this. It's one of the aspects of Fallout I think is understated, but very powerful. Growing up through the Cold War, I've often thought about where to be when the bombs dropped...but ultimately, if it happens, it'll just most likely be either at home or at work...simply becasue that's where most of us spend most of our time.

The 1st one in the bunker is 'meant' to be found via radio signal playing a looping message of the guy explaining the situation, his location, and pleading for help. It's actually a bit sadder finding it via radio, thinking they might still be alive, and having to fight through a shit ton of Super Mutants to get to them, only to find them dead.........and then you loot the place.
Hey Graenolf-the mother, Bonnie? You can find a holotape from her at the hospital she worked at. She survived the bombs, but was forced by the military to continue patching them up. She heard about the rest of the family's broadcast, though, and decided to run off and try to find them. It's possible that they got reunited.
With the grimness of the Fallout universe, I'd like to think the skeletons on those rocks are the boys and the theory is true, and Bonnie seemingly never made it out of the hospital. She mentions the military having taken refuge in the hospital, so it's likely that they killed anyone attempting to escape. It's likely that one of the corpses in the hospital - if there are any, I don't remember - is hers, gunned down as a result of attempting to escape.
That brings another thought - when you think about the timelines between Wayne and Bonnie's messages, it seems more likely that they died.
Wayne spent six months surviving in West Everett Estates until April of 2078, so this would have been set long after Boston fell and the government collapsed. Meanwhile, Bonnie mentions the military taking control of the hospital and "everything has gone to hell in the city," which would imply she's describing this in just the days after the bombs, before mentioning she's leaving.
If she left that early, then she would have found them by now, especially after six months, seeing as how West Everett is not far from the city itself.
This only furthers the likelihood that she died, and so did Wayne and his children, those skeletons likely theirs as other humans gunned them down in cold blood.

The story of Cambridge Polymer Labs would have made a great honorable mention. It was one of the most disturbing ones for me... It was just, how close were they to getting done with the research, and then due to them panicking, it all goes to hell.. When you visit the place, you still find the scientists as feral ghouls, the saddening terminal entries and holotapes, and the loyal robot! As soon as I finished the quest in that building i got so sad because i knew i would be missing something magical like this for a long time..! :'(

Also s/he can't nail down or drill the wood to anything unless s/he held it in place but sense it's made out of dirt it wouldn't hold but them when the bombs dropped the wood would be ripped of from the nuclear winds, which can travel up to around 200-300 mph, so s/he would most certainly die from the explosion, radiation, or mutant creatures, if s/he's lucky s/he might turn into a ghoul.
