good morning
I love the sound the lumber makes when nailing! Wood resonates when struck, the sound of the nail penetrating the wood is like music! The nail also has a sound. It changes as the nail is driven. When the nail is fully seated, it has no resonance, it is dead! Nailing those hurricane straps is a good way to practice your hammer prowess! Love you guys and thank you for sharing your cabin build. Not only showing the process, you also are explaining how and what you are doing. Great for newbies who want to learn house building. Thanxz
That was interesting to see the reinforcements made for hurricanes. Here in Missouri, we have to do the tornado shelters. God bless you guys richly. 💗💗💗

Exposed treated lumber (ACQ) inside residential dwelling is a No-No!!
The simple answer is pressure-treated lumber can be used in any interior application except cutting boards and countertops.
@@Dave-ty2qp I don’t know the codes in the Deep South, But up here in the East…No exposed treated lumber. The only way it will pass inspection if you laminate over it with something!
