I have Kahj Nisut and I mostly use Furina to support my Alhaitham so I literally have no reason to get her signature. In terms of team DPS it’s actually a downgrade 😂
The thing that kills me about Vortex Vanquisher is that it was made for original release Zhongli back when he was a hybrid HP/Atk scaler. After Zhongli got buffed Hoyo leaned into his HP scaling completely. This would have been a perfect opportunity to change Vortex Vanquisher into an HP% weapon to go with his changes. But as is, an Atk% weapon is just not what Zhongli needs for his primary role as a support. Even if you want to build him as a sub DPS with his burst you still want to build HP%. Genshin hasn't ever done a direct buff to a character since Zhongli in 1.3 but I really wish they would change Vortex Vanquisher into an HP% weapon to fit Zhongli post 1.3. It looks too cool on him to be beat out by Black Tassel.
Vortex could buff his dmg, just change the passive, something like massive crit status(40~80 C.DMG 10~20 C.Rate) when you cast an elemental burst using an shield, the passive atk buff it's just too similar to jade spear
@@Antigen__ I think it could have been pretty good on him if it weren't an Atk% stick. If you changed all of the Atk% to HP% I think you could have something good on it. Obviously not as good as today's standard but man Vortex being an Atk% weapon just kills its viability for anyone outside of Xiao in niche scenarios.
Kagura's basically only a stat stick only that can't be used unless you're using Nahida or Yae Miko, Neuv's signature would be better especially since when you use Furina, its passive is fully available to anyone and it surpasses R5 widsith if its passives is activated @@emanator36
Kaguras Verity stacks doesn't dissapear off field and refresh with each new gain. AKA most catalyst characters can max stack for the all element bonus % damage even when doing just one skill every 16 seconds, like Nahida.
ironically, i’d say moonglow is now a MUCH better weapon for Kokomi with Furina’s release! especially in mono hydro setups where the passive from TTDS isn’t fully utilized and ER catalyst options aren’t needed, she can benefit a lot more from moonglow’s passive that buffs her NAs and increasing her healing bonus so she can keep the high-HP pools of other characters like Furina and Yelan topped-off 👍
@@Axterix13 that’s a valid point to raise! i don’t know the exact math but ik proto amber is definitely competitive with moonglow for her :) im not here to advocate for people to pull for moonglow, nobody should feel pressured to pull for signature weapons but i just felt like pointing out that moonglow isn’t necessarily as bad as it used to be 👍✨
@@Axterix13yes! It's a pretty big difference for Kokomi's output which at baseline is similar (with proto amber) to Yelan and Furina on that team!! Remember that Furina stacks a lot of dmg bonus a stat Kokomi's donut utilizes REALLY well because of it adding a LOT of base damage with its HP and NA HP passive
@@Axterix13proto amber is only hp and er. The donut has a lot to offer especially with Furina already giving you more buff and healing bonus. On field kokomi already heals too much for Furina and you don't need proto ambers additional healing.
@@kianmarcial8884 Furina mains when they realize they have to pay $300 because they don't have festering desire (they don't know about favonius or pipe)
Kokonut is genuinely good for one specific scenario: On-field dps Kokomi on a triple or mono hydro setup (with Furina). In this lineup, you don't need either energy or healing anymore (on-field kokomi and at least 2 other hydros deals with that), and kokonut happens to be just... the best for boosting her dps?
Proto Amber tends to be better for 30% HP guaranteed team-wide healing as well as energy generation. The first part matters quite a bit for Furina's fanfare stack generation and getting more DPS for the whole team rather than just for Kokomi herself. People also tend to underestimate Koko's ER requirements and Proto Amber simply solves that issue in Double and Mono teams regardless and the DPS compared to donut is not that much lower.
@@aritra2116 While this is true I think it matters more on carries like Neuvillette because they don't have access to team-wide healing like Kokomi at a baseline. But since er is sometimes hard to build, and because it gives team wide energy generation AND is a craftable that isn't all that far behind, donut is... trash
@@aritra2116Kokomi has more than enough healing to make Proto Amber's passive worthless for Furina stack generation (her HP drain can only go so fast), and Kokomi's personal dmg output is significant in the mono Hydro team Also Donut restores just as much energy as proto amber :/
@@a3cer76it's a 30% dps increase vs Amber on a character with a similar dmg profile as Furina and Yelan on the team, it's unironically stronger than Furina and Yelan's C1 for the team The bigger issue is that it's just not a flexible investment, not that the dmg is bad
@Hezkun "Better than Furina's C1" How much did the donut corporation pay you to cope this hard? Not to mention Kokomi's own C1 is straight up a better damage increase and Hydro App increase for her over the Donut. P Amber also restores 18 energy at R5 over 9 of the Moonglow. Moonglow is straight up one of the most cope weapons of all time.
One weapon that disappoints me to this day ( it's not bad just wish it was changed) is Song of Broken Pines for Eula. It should have had a crit rate/ damage sub instead of more phys bonus. Let's see how much she has Without the weapon. Goblet is 58.3, C1 gives you 30, 4pc pale flame or 2pc phys sets give you 50, c6 mika (with multiple opponents) gives you 50 and with one opponent gives you 20. Without her weapon, she has 158 to 188% phys bonus already. And now with furina stacking on another 100 to 124% dmg bonus, it's even more hilarious. Imo it's among the best weapons design wise but it's sub stat is slightly unfortunate. Ranting done, time to go back to using beacon lol.
the substat is bad, yes. the base atk and atk percent it gives passively isn't so bad. serpent spine is damn close, but you gotta not get hit/face tank during her burst, which is a big minus, not to mention the hassle of waiting 20 seconds for the buff to start each abyss wave. wolves is also almost equally good, but you do have to have it, which I personally don't.. so.... pulling pines in a few days xD
@johns783 If I'm not wrong, beacon is with it. If you look past the design, beacon is a better choice than pines cause atk and damage bonuses you get plenty of whereas crit is solely from the artifact build (Unless I'm forgetting a character that gives crit, been 3 years of genshin). Atk speed you also get from mika but claymores units barely benefit from it due to hitlag so like it's just sad how they did her weapon. But it is a personal choice and stats aside, the pines is the best looking claymore imo (hence why it dissapointed me with stacking stats you already have plenty of. And eula was my main from 1.5 so double dissapointment lol). Good luck on pulls though
@@ClayMatu not got mika, I play her on a double dps team with Raiden, Diona, c6 Sara. anyway i also simply can not look past the design, either. this is Eula we're talking about here, and the aesthetic is absolutely an important factor. Thx for the good luck wishes, though that'll only be required in whether i get c1 or .. more than c1, the pines is guaranteed and will be pulled first.
The First Great Magic is actually Ganyu's overall best weapon even without stacking her teams with other cryo units. It's also Ambers overall BiS and Tighnari can make great use of it as well (my TFGM is fought over by Ganyu and Amber, Lynney currently has Amos, LOL). As an archer main, If I had to single out a limited 5 star bow to go on this list, I'd be more likely to put Thundering Pulse on here as it is only slightly better than R5 Rust on Yoimiya and Childe may be the only other bow user who can use it's passive, It's just a stat stick for most other archers who have better and more universal options. I'm missing only 2 of the 5 star bows on my account (I have ALL the archers, built and used. I even have Hunters Path) and this and Polar Star are the only 2 Bows I'm missing and honestly Polar Star is the only one I feel like I can't replace with the other bows available (Still waiting for a decent Polar Star weapons banner).
Lyney's bow can work pretty well since you don't actually need a mono team to make it work For example Yoimiya will want Bennett or Xiangling in the team, that's 32% more atk Tighnari will want a second dendro as well and he benefits from charged attack buff also, that's another 32% atk + 16% more charged attack damage
For Moonglow: Kokomi's not really used as an off-field unit any more. Her main uses are either On-field Nilou Bloom trigger (in which case sac frags is her BiS) or Furina MonoHydro driver - for which yeah, you wanna build her for healing (and thus dps), so yeah Moonglow's her BiS. For any off-field hydro, Furina, Yelan, and Xingqiu are just better options
I basically only use Kokomi for my Ayaka team or in other teams as an off-field support. She doesn’t feel good to play as an on-field but maybe I’m not playing it correctly.
Prototype Amber can max out Furina buff very fast and the extra energy makes it so that you never have to worry about team's ER. Also, its only about 10% worse for damage than Everlasting Moonglow.
@@yashtandon7460 The energy regen is only for the wielder, and Moonglow provides the user energy regen, too. Fanfare is only increased when the team's HP changes, which PA is unlikely to do when you've got Kokomi's insane healing on burst keeping everyone constantly topped up
Saying Kokomi is not used as an off-field anymore is a biiiiiiit of an exaggeration, buddy. Yeah, she has another option with furina, but it's ANOTHER option. She is still very, veeeeery much used the way she has been all this time.
Yae's weapon is really good on her, lisa and nahida. The fact that both nahida and yae can make super good use of it makes it a bit more valuable than what you made it out to be
Hey, did you actually look at lyney's bows performance Its directly on par with aqua simulacra on multiple charaters like fischl. Its offten just a side grade to polar star. Its no where near the bottom
@azuarc hey did you read one of the 3 sentences written? Because if you did you'd notice that I didn't mention lyney at all. Fgm just isn't close to the bottom, as a generalist weapon it's on par with aqua simulacra or polar star on many many charaters who aren't lyney. For example it's Yoimiya's 2nd best bow option, ganyu's best for non melt variations, it's directly competeive to polar star as long as at least 1 more electro is on the team for fischl, every bow dps besides childe can make effective use of fgm attack buff Weapons like nahida sig are far more niche with no relevant units outside of nahida wanting it for example.
You can put Lyney’s bow on Tighnari with two other dendro like Nahida and Baizhu with one electro (fischl) or two electro if you want. Or on Venti and you can play Wanderer Faruzan Venti Bennett team which is really strong if you build Venti as crit.
On field Kokomi benefits a lot from her signature. And now with Furina her driver role is buffed a lot. Sure she cant crit but she clears stuff insanely fast. I am gonna pull for moonglow next time its available. I think it will elevate her a ton. I have fun on taser and freeze on her with Furina.
Even though the Donuts tend to get a lot of hate, I think Vortex Vanquisher might be the worst Signature weapon for the character that it is meant for period. It does have use cases on other characters to a certain extent but it definitely is a contender for one of the worst ones out there. The other one might possibly be Summit Shaper but we don't see that one on banners anymore and probably for a good enough reason. The entire Liyue series is pretty unfortunate.
100% agree. I have 4 of these weapons (plus a refinement in one). One is used by the intended character. One is used as a placeholder until a get something better. Two sit unused because they only make sense on characters I don’t have. Weapon banner is just the worst. A big part of that is how insanely niche many passives are.
The first great magic is the best weapon for freeze or mono cryo Ganyu and for Tighnari. It's about as universal as aqua and doesn't have that low base attack.
Yeah I'm using Kokomi as my backup dps for when my actual dps cant dish out enough dmg. Mainly thanks to the clam set. So I'm still trying to save up and get her signature weapon. ^^ Great video, showcasing some weapons that I'm sure can shine if used with the right characters. I'm just a bit bummed that it's so hard to get the weapons due to the weapon banner's rng.
"Ganyu doesn't benefit much from Lyney's weapon" I'm sure she doesn't its not like it's her BiS or anyth- That didn't age so well bro his weapon is like the strongest DPS bow ever.
the Eula Sig Weapon vs Serpent Spine, IN THEORY, is rather good Weapon on Eula, but in practice that thing sucks bc you do not run a Shielder to begin with and for it to be on par with her Sig Weapon, you do want Ben on the team as well, which you don't rly want to run either
It would even feel like a waste to use a shielder with Eula because she has a built in resistance to interruption, so yeah. Currently her best team is with Furina so you actually need a healer. Serpent Spine is kinda bad on her imo.
@@NorthWolf97 I dunno what they're on about either, my Eula is tied to Diona at the hip. that said I'm sick and tired of having to wait for the ss buff to charge up in any domain, and you do still take damage every so often and whenever you do it's no longer keeping its competitiveness.
The counterargument -- which I don't agree with because I hate this being the answer to everything -- is that Bennett provides a huge amount of ATK, which limits the usefulness of other ATK benefits. It's terrible for two reasons, because it forces you into playing Bennett, and because it exaggerates so-called diminishing returns, but that is the reason why nobody cares as much about high ATK weapons.
@@azuarcthis is wrong if the weapon has a high base atk it works better with bennett as the characters base stats get multiplied higher the calculation is literally base atk × atk% + flat atk this the formula for just atk not all dmg in genshin but just niw everything goes up the base atk goes as its literally the BASE line
@@TybossMaster No. Bennett's burst adds a set amount of attack based on his base atk value. And that's flat attack, not base attack. So, if using Bennett, you're typically better off with a weapon that has lower attack, and instead provides more crit DMG or DMG, since that will be applied after Benny's buff is. Now, Eula's sword does provide some phys DMG. However, because the sword has some high base attack, that DMG amount is lower than it would be if the sword had a lower attack value. The other issue, of course, is that we can get increases to attack from more places, while crit stats tend to be the hardest to get. So when it comes to a DPS character, there's a definite focus on having a weapon with a crit stat. When you're using Benny, the percentage of your total attack provided by your weapon decreases, and you're better off having your weapon's stat pool be more in some other aspect. Golden ratio and all that.
Given that Kokomi has found new life as the driver for the all hydro Furina+Yelan+XQ, healing and dealing and stacking fanfare, would Moonglow actually be good in that context? Her own damage might not matter as much as how well she can stack fanfare and throw rainswords and depth-clarions, but she hits pretty hard anyway, esp with Furina.
@@sarahc5608 VV's shield strength part of the passive doesn't even work for a shielder, unless you play them on-field. Shield strength needs to be on your on-fielder for it to work and then it strengthens any shield the character is protected by. If you want a decent VV user in the future, they should basically be someone like Xiao (currently VV's best user, especially with 4pc Marechaussee): scaling with Atk, having high base Atk, getting a lot of dmg% bonuses and/or crit from their kit/dedicated artifact set and wanting to be shielded. Bonus points if they somehow don't synergize well with Bennett. VV would probably be outclassed by their signature, but it would still be one of the best options. Or they could be an on-field driver who uses Atk to give some kind of buff to the rest of the team.
The first great magic is extremely flexible. Tighnari typically wants a second dendro, which procs the buff. Ganyu freeze is a very good team and you typically want another cryo on her team, yet again, proccing it. The crit stat is very good, and the base attack is high. And while only Lyney can fully use it, its still good on others. I wouldn't put it on this list when thundering pulse and nahidas weapon exist.
I clicked on the video, kinda afraid that harran(ayato's sword) might be on the list since Im a big fan of it and apart from ayato, no other sword user really ultilize normal attack, but I guess I either underestimated the NA buff or there are some other buffs that harder to use
its a fine crit statstick (that will inherently make it better than a sword trhat might give atk%) plus 12% elemental dmg bonus from the first part of the passive those 2 things alone are enough to not make it go in the top 10, tho it must be 11 or 12th since lyney"s bow is also there at 10th and its a crit statstick
Even when other sword dps doesn't primarily came from NAs (Keqing with her CA, Alhaitham with his skill), they still occasionally weave NAs sometimes. I'd say Alhaitham, Furina, and Nahida's weapons are more niche
@@xxx_lolidestroyer69_xxxuwu58 i dont think he put nahida's weapon in the top 10 because i would assume he thinks that her weapon in kinda futureproof and some characters might use it other than nahida (sucrose, heizou in soup, cope option for vape/melt carries) just like for haran, you can change the rotation to weave in more NAs for keqing to give it more value high copium overdose ahead: furina's weapon can be used on alhaitham, albedo, dps vape nilou if furina is in their teams and she would be draining their hp alhaitham's weapon can be used on dps vape nilou and (even more copium warning) hybrid crystallize albedo build running em/dmg% or def%/em that tries to have tanky crystallize shields and decent damage holy shit that was way too much copium im dead
Kokomi wasn’t supposed to be a dps, she’s a driver mainly for transformative reactions. Her weapon and constellations help her do a bit more than just help with reaction, she can do more damage than other drivers like sucrose or xingqiu
2 months ago you made a video ranking party animators in which you asked if you should make what if Venti was released today, I think that'd be pretty cool, I personally just want any excuse to vent since he's my favourite character sooo yeah, day 1 of requesting What if Venti was released Today
Calamity Queller is extra sadge because even on Shenhe, it loses to Engulfing Lightning in terms of practicality. The huge ER substat and ATK bonus scaling with ER just makes it the better QoL choice for shenhe
I almost cried when i finally hit pity after spending all my primos to get scara's Bell just to have kokomi's donut appear on my screen... I don't use it but it's level 90 because my OCD won't let my have an unleveled 5* weapon 😅.
Same here I lost my first pull to a standard 5 star then I lost again on the donut (I have kokomi so not a net loss) and then I had to go to hard pity a 3rd time to get it and I had to cave and spend to finalise the last few pulls, definitely annoying but I’m not gonna touch another weapon banner for quite some time unless one banner drops with 2 really solid weapons for my other teams
Ah yes im definitely not suprised that liyue weapon line "aka the worst weapon line in the game" is out here representing on full force. Theh really outta give that weapon line some love because they are either fighting for their lives or just straight up dead.
As me who has 5 of 10 weapon you've mentioned (Kagura's Verity, Vortex Vanquisher (I LOST TO Hunter's Path goddang), Song of Broken Pines, Memory of Dust, Jadefall Splendor (lost again to Furina's weapon)), I 100% agree with your own statement mostly. Most 5-stars weapon you've mentioned are the reason that make sense too.
“Summit Shaper which tends to be Albedo’s signature weapon…” ….what? His entire kit is centered on defense scaling and the Cinnabar Spindel has been out for like a year (granted it’s no longer available.)
Albedo's debut banner in 1.2 came with Summit Shaper. So it's assumed it's his signature weapon. The Cinnabar Spindle only came out in 2.4'ish. He has the same issue as Zhongli where his signature weapon (Vortex Vanquisher) is worse than other options.
I would argue Kokomi's weapon is much better than Baizhu, and Baizhu's weapon should take the number 1 spot. Firstly, direct comparison: both give HP, so the passive is the thing we should look at. Kokomi's donut gives Healing Bonus (which is whatever), 1% HP to NA bonus conversion, and energy regen after using ultimate. Pretty solid and consistent - could be useful if we got an HP scaling normal attacker, perhaps someone like HP scaling Wriothesley. Still useful on Kokomi if you're willing to use her burst, she can deal some decent damage when on-field. Meanwhile, the matcha donut has a restriction of having to use burst or get a shield every 3 seconds, which currently, only Baizhu and I think Thoma can do (if Thoma's refreshes even count for that). Second, the dmg% bonus, it requires you to stack HP - 40k for maximum of pitiful 12% damage. It also regenerates energy, I think 22.5 in total. Now, Prototype Amber - it regenerates 18 energy, and also heals you and whole party. Firstly, it's useful for Furina team due to extra frontloaded healing. However, I remember someone doing the calcs, and Baizhu with Prototype Amber on ER/HP/HP gives roughly the same amount of healing as with Jadefall on HP/HP/HP. So, while you lose 4.5 energy, you gain the ability to slot ER sands without losing on healing, and more ER means getting ult back more easily. Let's be honest - 12% dmg bonus is pitiful (just checked and actually even worse, since with his A1 passive he gains 25%), and meeting ER requirements to keep ult up is far better than getting that tiny, barely noticeable damage increase. In conclusion - Prototype Amber R5 is literally better on Baizhu than his own signature weapon. And with its restrictions, it's highly unlikely we'll get a character who can use it properly.
When he brought up The First Great Magic I started thinking about how often i misremember Lyney being on the standard banner. He's got so many similarities to Tighnari (region's first banner, charge attack bow user, same character model, etc) I end up lumping them together in my head, so it was very funny to hear him accidentally call Great Magic a standard weapon.
I really like your music selection from Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze and Final Fantasy 7 Remake. I really enjoyed both of these games. For the weapons: I decided for myself, that I am only gonna pull on the weapon banner when both weapons are good. It works quite well for me.
you put some of the most popular versatile weapons... you put a sheet with wolfgravestone>song of broken pines that is mostly a lie since it needs specific situartion for that to happen (very unlilely when you need damage like abyss where EUla is used mostly for single target bosses in abyss, despite i agree on that position.
staff of homa is the best weapon so far. it's universal and can be used by other polearm-characters. even for non dps can turned into dps when using it
maybe 2 years ago, but today homa isn’t even the best limited polearm (it’s sss). imo highest value limiteds are elegy and pjc, but the best weapon in the game is fav sword lol
@@mayguardian1 SoSS is less universal than Homa because of its passive requiring EM to make it work. Homa works on every ATK scaler because everyone has HP.
Beacon of the Reed Sea is arguably the best claymore in the game, and since there are not many good claymores, Redhorn is considered good too, sometimes even outperforming Wolf's Gravestone on non-DEF scaling characters.
Kagura's Verity definitely shouldn't be on the list. I'd even say it's one of the best catalysts, possibly the best overall catalyst in terms of dps. Although that's mostly due to catalysts having more niche passives than other weapon types in general and therefor high stat stick tendencies. It's true, that KV is a stat stick for a couple of characters, but on the characters it works on it's often the best or second best weapon and pretty much never the worst 5* option. The passive is fairly easy to trigger, to keep active (casting another skill adds a stack and resets) and and due to the 16 second duration it also works well off field and often doesn't influence rotations. In he situations and for the characters it's a stat stick it's usually one of the better stat sticks. Besides Yae there are a couple that can use it to a good degree: Lisa can and will use it to great effect as she can easily trigger it for her huge E nuke. Ningguang can use it fairly well with her barrier and its reset mechanics. Iirc Heizou's elemental skill is nothing to scoff at either. It's also the second best weapon on one of the best (I'd even say the best) characters in the game, Nahida as her entire damage output is behind her skill.
All limited 5-star weapons need to be is perfect for their associated 5-star AND look pretty, then maybe as a stat-stick for everyone else. Kokomi is an on-fielder, Lynet is not on standard, and Jadefall addresses everything Baizhu needs. Also, Albedo's is NOT Summit Shaper ..
I would put beacon of the reed Sea and Hunter’s Path on the list, not because they’re terrible but because they are never going to rerun since Dehya and Tighnari are standard banner. With how big the roster of characters with limited weapons is getting I’m worried about jade cutter never getting rerun as well.
I would argue that kokomi weapon got a lot better ever since furina came out. Kokomi mono hydro team with kokomi onfield doing damage. Furina and yelan will increase the damage output of kokomi this means that the value from her signature increases as kokomi is doing damage.
What is sad but makes sense form a business POV which MHY is at the end of the day is that nowadays almost all signatures are dogshit on everyone except the character they're made for meanwhile in the past at the beginnings of the game's life cycle 5* weapons that were exclusive to the weapon's banner were more or less universal, some failures like Vortex Vanquisher but if you wanted a good polearm no matter the character Homa was your pick,if you wanted a good bow elegy was a pick,if you wanted a good sword Jadecutter or Mistsplitter were your picks, sure all of those performed better or worse depending on the characters too but my point is they were more useable on more characters and specially alot more useful on their respective owners but now it feels like signatures are just good for their owners and no1 else and Sac/Fav series makes most of these signatures not be worth it sometimes which i find hilarious XD
The zhongli series (Unforged etc) may rise in value if we ever get character or artifacts that somehow scales off shield strength like hoe emblem set/raiden scales off ER. Yes i am coping here, come join me and lets cope together
okay so song of broken pines I would argue has a place on xinyan as well since she happens to have high psychical scaling so technically 4 characters can utilize this weapon but ALSO psychical is in the same boat as cyro without dendro reactions, however both cyro psychical units for broken pines can utilize shatter to make them hit harder so I wouldnt say its BAD per say just more niche for like 4 characters BUT could also just be used for any psychical claymore comp tbh
my baizhu heals a lot more with his signature and since i play him with furina it is also a buff to her main talent - a fanfare buff where you need a huge heal. it was a very useful banner and i have no regrets on trying to get furina's signature weapon but got baizhu's
Another thing that makes calamity even worse is that shenhe has such high er needs (generally between 180-200+) while yes you can run an er sands with calamity overall you get more value for the team if you run Fav or you can just wait to get skyward off standard instead of having to waste time in wep banner for a chance to get a mediocre weapon.
Kaguras veriety is best in slot on 2 limited 5 stars since it beats thousands floating dreams for an on field Nahida, that alone puts it ahead of most weapons in the game which are only ever bis on one character
What’s crazy is Ganyu teams always have at least 1 cryo unit either Layla or diona for shield and then Shenhe for boost which is kinda good having only 1 extra cryo is still a good thing
With Zhongli I mainly just use the craftable Fontaine Polearm with HP%. He doesn't get much use out of the passive though unless you have C6 or just low Shield HP in general sadly.
I use Kokomi as my sub-DPS on my Alhaitham teams. I used Alhaitham, Nahida, Raiden and Kokomi+Donut. Alhaitham for Damage, Raiden for charger, Nahida as Dendro app, and Kokomi+Donut with Clam set to Heal, Damage, and Proc Hyperbloom. The damage might be standard, but man... let me tell ya. I'm Immortal when I used this team. No one ever died in this team. NO ONE.
The thing about Verity is it has the reverse bow situation. Whereas with bows, there are a lot of good alternatives, with catalysts, there aren't. Most catalyst weapons are overly niche, and often even kind of lackluster for the character they are intended for. Verity, on the other hand, is good for Yae, Ningguang, Klee, Nahida, and so on. It is the best featured five star catalyst, simply because the others are overly niche healer ones (overly niche and conditional) or overly niche normal/charged attack, probably with Fontaine hp-change conditions to make them even more niche. Quite simply, it doesn't deserve to be on the list. And if a bow can be rated down for there being a ton of good bows, then Verity really doesn't belong on the list, because, yeah, them catalysts. Wanderer's is the one that should be there, rather than Verity, though I think a good case can be made for both Fontaine catalysts as well (though they're at least BiS on their intended character). As far as the attack claymores go, well, let's just say I was playing my Sayu today, and the crafted Fontaine Claymore at R5 gets her more a decent chunk more attack than an R2 Wolf's Gravestone. Healing is easy to come by, so you'll likely have 100% uptime on it (especially in Furina teams). Admittedly, WGS can buff the team, so it has that going for it, but that activates kinda late against high hp bosses, while Unforged has its "if shielded" clause. But when a crafted weapon is stealing your thunder in most situations... Yeah, Unforged, like the rest of its line, deserves to be on the list. And then there's Furina's weapon. Another overly niche Fontaine weapon, and this one in a category with a lot of other good swords that aren't region locked. And I expect Navia's weapon to be worthy of the "skip this banner" category as well, because, again, an overly niche weapon that has little value if you don't have the one character it is intended for. Hoyoverse needs to revamp the weapon banner, if they're going to keep making these overly niche weapons. I mean, they should do it anyway because the weapon banner still sucks, even with the path, but with every overly niche weapon they add, they need to do it all the more.
Honestly I have Baizhu and I want nothing to do with his signature weapon because of sacrificial fragments since he can heal 10k hp with one skill so I'd rather have 20k hp healing with two skills than a very niche and awful weapon. Thanks to listening to my rant you beautiful people ;D
@@salceds You do make very valid points for sure and I do agree, having a double skill is just my prefered way to play him and I don't discourage people from getting his weapon if they want to get it, it's just not how I'd want to play Baizhu and personally there are better characters for me that I'd risk of trying to get constellations if I could just get his c1 for a double skill
@@RandomInsightfulcommenter7898 Okay but that doesn't mean his weapon is awful or even bad on him considering his signature means you can use your Sac Frags on someone like Sucrose or even give you an easier time on building him and so on.
@@salceds in my second reply it states everything why I would rather use sacrificial fragments over Baizhu's signature but I'd like to add why give Sucrose Baizhu's r5 sac fragments when she has her own r5 sac fragments, resin isn't too much an issue to me as it's always refreshing and having multiple r5 weapons benefits greatly in case some new character down the line could use a weapon I'm not currently using
@@RandomInsightfulcommenter7898 I was talking hypothetically I'm not literally asking you to do it even then it's still the same reasoning why Jadefall isn't "niche or awful" considering the above.
Hoyo has the brightest minds in China coming up with weapons that are only good for one character so you cant double dip. But soon they'll run out of gimicks and we'll have weapons that say "Increases damage by 75% if the character's name starts with M and ends with urata."
to be fair everlasing moonglow has some more value now because mono hydro is a thing now and kokomi actually isnt half bad for dps now, sure it isn't the ebst but its not bad
I agree with weapons 8 - 1. However, i’d argue that freedom sworn would be number 10 and furina’s weapon would be number 9. Freedom sword is good but most characters that need EM can use iron sting or xiphos while furina’s weapon is very niche.
I am fully aware that Koko's donut is absolute trash and a waste of primos, and I definitely shouldn't get it, *especially* because I'm f2p. Butttt, I love my girl Kokomi, so I'm gonna try and get it on her next banner along with her c4 (she's c3 atm)
@@AKDE83 Lol well I have Yoimiya, Raiden, Ganyu, Tighnari, c1 Jean, Mona, Venti, Keqing and a couple of weapons. I got 4 Kokomis in 3 ten pulls, so it didn't hurt my primos that much haha
I would have agreed with everything you said about Kokomi's weapon if not for Furina's existence. It also made me think of the Jonah Hill "cut it out" gif every time you said no one uses her as a DPS. Summit Shaper is now worse IMHO because at least the donut has a very niche application as a potential BIS and Shaper doesn't even have that. If a Kokomi main said "I wanna get the donut!" I'd understand that. Outside of aesthetics, there's no reason to get summit shaper (shame, too, because the aesthetics really are top tier)
Who let bro cook? First Great Magic can work perfectly fine on Ganyu freeze and Tighnari spread for example, like come on. And Kagura's Verity, while not many characters can take full advantage of the passive, is still extremely versatile and a great option on many characters such as Nahida, Heizou, Yae (duh), Klee, Mona, to an extent Wrio Neuv and Wanderer... like, come on.
I actually have Song of Broken Pines and Kagura's Verity. I got Verity when going for Yoimiya's Thindering Pulse. As I have Yae Miko I'm not gonna complain about getting it. Especially since it's a stat stick if I have to give it to another character. I went for Eula's c1 and her weapon during her last rerun as she is one of my favorite characters, and I don't like Serpent Spine on her. Plus we likely won't see her for another year unless something changes for Physical characters.
you can use mikos signature on Wanderer by pressing his skill twice in the very beginning of the rotation and then press it again after the set up for him to fly up
Kokomi take is a bit dated. She’s a great dps as a nilou bloom or tazer driver. She’s also very good in a triple hydro team as the in field unit. I still don’t think it’s worthwhile to pull for her signature but kokomi is a lot more than an off field hydro applicator and healer
About placement order, I think Summit Shaper being the second BIS for Ayaka should mean something. Especially considering Vortex Vanquisher and Memory of Dust aren't even that. It is also better than the standard 5-star swords for most DPS sword users and probably better than most 4-star swords as well for sword DPS characters. Vortex Vanquisher needs to compete Jade Spear for Polearm DPS and Memory of Dust is worse than both standard 5-stars for Catalyst users who scale with attack. WGS should generally be better than Unforged for attack scaling Claymore DPS. So Summit Shaper should be best of the shield series. Kagura's Verity is very versatile, not sure why it is on here. Considering that the stacks do indeed work for a lot of characters other than Yae. IIRC Nahida actually likes this weapon if you build her for spread and she can stack it up pretty quickly as well. Most other catalyst DPS can probably get the 3 stacks by their 2nd rotation as well.
Nice video! But I disagree about Moonglow. Kokomi's a good driver and has good personal danage whilst doing so. Even prior to Furina she was a solid, underrated driver but now with Furina she's a really strong driver with higher personal damage than she's ever had before. That't not to say that Moonglow is good; Kokomi is never the main source of damage on a team (apart from as a bloom trigger, where she prefers Sac Frags over Moonglow) and you would generally prefer to go for a 5-star weapon for a character that's doing a greater portion of the team's damage. But it's certainly better than Jadefall's Splendor at the very least.
I actually think Jadefall Splendor might be the worst 5 star period so the premise of the video kinda falls short when he said at the beginning of it '5 stars that are worse'. The take on Eula's signature and comparing it to the BP claymore was especially abysmal. Nobody in their right mind would use Eula with a shielder, especially now with Furina, making the bp option quite useless on her. When it comes to Moonglow it's like he slept throughout the whole Furina release or something.
As a Kokomi donut haver, prototype amber is just a better weapon for Kokomi. The energy recharge and additional healing with Furina is big difference between the 2 weapons
I still pulled on furina's weapon banner as my first time pulling on the weapon banner and I got her weapon as my first five star on the weapon banner so I thankfully didn't get fucked
Summit Shaper is not Albedo's signature. It's an attack-scaling weapon and has only ever run three times; with Albedo, Zhongli and Yoimiya. The thing is utterly homeless. The previous rerun of Albedo featured the Jade Cutter, which still isn't his signature but it at least works on him and is considered the best or second best generalist 5* sword. His true signature is Cinnabar Spindle (RIP).
Furina's weapon skippers, you definitely made the right call.
Pipe is the best drip
I pulled on weapon banner 2 days before it ended and luckily got her weapon 😅
I have Kahj Nisut and I mostly use Furina to support my Alhaitham so I literally have no reason to get her signature. In terms of team DPS it’s actually a downgrade 😂
I have Jade Cutter and it works just fine honestly, I can't bear giving my wife a pipe to defeat her enemies with, it's not elegant enough.
The risk is so worth it for me, because I like Furina so much that it would be blasphemous if she holds a frickin pipe
Even back then it was trash on Zhongli bruv
Vortex vanguisher BIS for xiao with hunter set. See KQM if u don't believe. Try it if u play xiao and lose to this weapon
Yeah You can use first great magic on tighnari and it is one of his BiS and Kaguras is also such a good stat stick
Its bis for some ganyu builds as well
Kagura's basically only a stat stick only that can't be used unless you're using Nahida or Yae Miko, Neuv's signature would be better especially since when you use Furina, its passive is fully available to anyone and it surpasses R5 widsith if its passives is activated @@emanator36

because it is no?
Kaguras Verity stacks doesn't dissapear off field and refresh with each new gain.
AKA most catalyst characters can max stack for the all element bonus % damage even when doing just one skill every 16 seconds, like Nahida.
Kagura is like the bis for every catalyst so i was confused why it was here xd
This weapon can pull ahead over a thousand floating dreams for dps nahida, and I have seen someone on reddit pull R5 kagura for heizou...
Lol yeah nahida can easily get the stacks
People still don't know this? Wow
Exactly, some of us actually know better
ironically, i’d say moonglow is now a MUCH better weapon for Kokomi with Furina’s release! especially in mono hydro setups where the passive from TTDS isn’t fully utilized and ER catalyst options aren’t needed, she can benefit a lot more from moonglow’s passive that buffs her NAs and increasing her healing bonus so she can keep the high-HP pools of other characters like Furina and Yelan topped-off 👍
But on the flip side, will you notice a difference in the team's clear times over running an R5 Prototype Amber instead?
But then again, if you use her on Nilou bloom team, her donut is still bad because she needs more EM instead of HP.
Pretty sure Furina’s own signature is more niche than either Kagura’s or Great Magic, and Kokomi can actually dps with her donut now with Furina
Yh Furina doesn't need her sig weapon. just running her with primordial jade cutter is already more than enough.

Don't forget about on-field Charlotte
But since er is sometimes hard to build, and because it gives team wide energy generation AND is a craftable that isn't all that far behind, donut is... trash
@@aritra2116Kokomi has more than enough healing to make Proto Amber's passive worthless for Furina stack generation (her HP drain can only go so fast), and Kokomi's personal dmg output is significant in the mono Hydro team
Also Donut restores just as much energy as proto amber :/
@@a3cer76it's a 30% dps increase vs Amber on a character with a similar dmg profile as Furina and Yelan on the team, it's unironically stronger than Furina and Yelan's C1 for the team

I swear it thought i was hallucinating when you said that lyney and his signature are in the standard banner

@@Meese12Man I wish, I'd love to loose my fifty fifty to Lyney. On second thought, it might actually be harder to get his cons, so nvm 😅
Furina buffs 75-100%. Not 100-124%, that’s her C3.
Pretty it only bad for her at c0
With con, it scale much better compared to the other weapon
the substat is bad, yes. the base atk and atk percent it gives passively isn't so bad. serpent spine is damn close, but you gotta not get hit/face tank during her burst, which is a big minus, not to mention the hassle of waiting 20 seconds for the buff to start each abyss wave. wolves is also almost equally good, but you do have to have it, which I personally don't.. so.... pulling pines in a few days xD
Lyney isn't in standard banner...
Yeah no that part got me so confuse. Made me check to see if his weapon was somehow standard when he wasn't and no they're both limited.
I'm pretty sure he was meant to talk about Tighnari and Hunter's Path there but forgot to mention his name in the script
I replayed that like 9 times trying to understand if he misspoke or I misheard
But hunter's path is great
I assume he crossed his signals between Lyney and Dehya.
i noticed the little raccoon in the bottom running along the video timer and i just love it so much! a small but very unique detail
Lyney's bow can work pretty well since you don't actually need a mono team to make it work
For example Yoimiya will want Bennett or Xiangling in the team, that's 32% more atk
Tighnari will want a second dendro as well and he benefits from charged attack buff also, that's another 32% atk + 16% more charged attack damage
Isn't proto Amber still better ? Especially at R5 ?
The Liyue/Summit Series should be on the standard banner by now alongside the Mondstadt/Skyward Series.
Yae's weapon is really good on her, lisa and nahida. The fact that both nahida and yae can make super good use of it makes it a bit more valuable than what you made it out to be

Hey, did you actually look at lyney's bows performance
Its directly on par with aqua simulacra on multiple charaters like fischl. Its offten just a side grade to polar star. Its no where near the bottom
Thank you

Did you listen to his disclaimer before commenting? Or his reason for including it? He never said it was bad ON LYNEY.
@@azuarc prob didn't
@@azuarc No one here said it was bad on Lyney either...? Did you read or just assume?
@azuarc
hey did you read one of the 3 sentences written? Because if you did you'd notice that I didn't mention lyney at all. Fgm just isn't close to the bottom, as a generalist weapon it's on par with aqua simulacra or polar star on many many charaters who aren't lyney.
For example it's Yoimiya's 2nd best bow option, ganyu's best for non melt variations, it's directly competeive to polar star as long as at least 1 more electro is on the team for fischl, every bow dps besides childe can make effective use of fgm attack buff
Weapons like nahida sig are far more niche with no relevant units outside of nahida wanting it for example.
What's your full team for her ? I have Koko's signature with her, so Im very interested in some new way to play her
Even though the Donuts tend to get a lot of hate, I think Vortex Vanquisher might be the worst Signature weapon for the character that it is meant for period. It does have use cases on other characters to a certain extent but it definitely is a contender for one of the worst ones out there. The other one might possibly be Summit Shaper but we don't see that one on banners anymore and probably for a good enough reason. The entire Liyue series is pretty unfortunate.
they’re bad enough that idk y hoyo doesn’t just put them on standard
Real as a Lyney main I'm malding to see it on here
Yeah I'm using Kokomi as my backup dps for when my actual dps cant dish out enough dmg. Mainly thanks to the clam set. So I'm still trying to save up and get her signature weapon. ^^
Great video, showcasing some weapons that I'm sure can shine if used with the right characters. I'm just a bit bummed that it's so hard to get the weapons due to the weapon banner's rng.
"Ganyu doesn't benefit much from Lyney's weapon"
I'm sure she doesn't its not like it's her BiS or anyth-
That didn't age so well bro his weapon is like the strongest DPS bow ever.
the Eula Sig Weapon vs Serpent Spine, IN THEORY, is rather good Weapon on Eula, but in practice that thing sucks bc you do not run a Shielder to begin with and for it to be on par with her Sig Weapon, you do want Ben on the team as well, which you don't rly want to run either
It would even feel like a waste to use a shielder with Eula because she has a built in resistance to interruption, so yeah. Currently her best team is with Furina so you actually need a healer. Serpent Spine is kinda bad on her imo.
Wdym? I run Layla for shield and Bennet on my Eula team. It works wonders.
@@NorthWolf97 I dunno what they're on about either, my Eula is tied to Diona at the hip. that said I'm sick and tired of having to wait for the ss buff to charge up in any domain, and you do still take damage every so often and whenever you do it's no longer keeping its competitiveness.
Song of Broken Pines gives so much attack, that it works very well just as a stat stick.
@@azuarc Yes, in Eula's case, you rly don't want to run Ben with her, especially now with Furina, Mika is just a better option overall
@@azuarcthis is wrong if the weapon has a high base atk it works better with bennett as the characters base stats get multiplied higher
the calculation is literally base atk × atk% + flat atk this the formula for just atk not all dmg in genshin but just niw everything goes up the base atk goes as its literally the BASE line
Now we need the best limited weapons :) thanks for the content
Given that Kokomi has found new life as the driver for the all hydro Furina+Yelan+XQ, healing and dealing and stacking fanfare, would Moonglow actually be good in that context? Her own damage might not matter as much as how well she can stack fanfare and throw rainswords and depth-clarions, but she hits pretty hard anyway, esp with Furina.
When I got the Vortex Vanquisher instead of the Polar Star, I went insane... Now I'm coping with promising myself that I will main Xiao
Same I hope it works on an future pyro or electro shielder tho.

Now we patiently wait for "The 10 BEST Limited 5 Star Weapons in Genshin Impact" video :^)
I clicked on the video, kinda afraid that harran(ayato's sword) might be on the list since Im a big fan of it and apart from ayato, no other sword user really ultilize normal attack, but I guess I either underestimated the NA buff or there are some other buffs that harder to use
its a fine crit statstick (that will inherently make it better than a sword trhat might give atk%) plus 12% elemental dmg bonus from the first part of the passive
those 2 things alone are enough to not make it go in the top 10, tho it must be 11 or 12th since lyney"s bow is also there at 10th and its a crit statstick
Even when other sword dps doesn't primarily came from NAs (Keqing with her CA, Alhaitham with his skill), they still occasionally weave NAs sometimes.
I'd say Alhaitham, Furina, and Nahida's weapons are more niche
@@xxx_lolidestroyer69_xxxuwu58 i dont think he put nahida's weapon in the top 10 because i would assume he thinks that her weapon in kinda futureproof and some characters might use it other than nahida (sucrose, heizou in soup, cope option for vape/melt carries)
just like for haran, you can change the rotation to weave in more NAs for keqing to give it more value
high copium overdose ahead:
furina's weapon can be used on alhaitham, albedo, dps vape nilou if furina is in their teams and she would be draining their hp
alhaitham's weapon can be used on dps vape nilou and (even more copium warning) hybrid crystallize albedo build running em/dmg% or def%/em that tries to have tanky crystallize shields and decent damage
holy shit that was way too much copium im dead
My constructive criticism for this video is to make the weapon descriptions larger in the future so we can read them. Thank you though, good video
Kokomi wasn’t supposed to be a dps, she’s a driver mainly for transformative reactions. Her weapon and constellations help her do a bit more than just help with reaction, she can do more damage than other drivers like sucrose or xingqiu
Well... Controversies... About Kokomi can't do crit damages result an death threat to the her CN VA.
For a second, I thought you was going to put Itto's Redhorn on this list. I WAS GRINDING MY AXE.
*lists The Unforged*
*discusses how it's memed on and that it's unfair*
*shows footage of Xinyan*
i haven't even see the video yet and i bet vortex vanquisher will be in this vid
I still have faith (in vain, I know) that some future characters will make some of those weapons worthy.
My R3 Unforged is waiting for Navia
“Summit Shaper which tends to be Albedo’s signature weapon…”
….what? His entire kit is centered on defense scaling and the Cinnabar Spindel has been out for like a year (granted it’s no longer available.)
Albedo's debut banner in 1.2 came with Summit Shaper. So it's assumed it's his signature weapon. The Cinnabar Spindle only came out in 2.4'ish.
He has the same issue as Zhongli where his signature weapon (Vortex Vanquisher) is worse than other options.
@@lewsee5562 It was never rerun with him. It's a filler weapon, not his signature.
Its funny that I actually want to pull for Kokomi's signature wep but kept loosing
I would change the first great magic to Nahida's weapon. Most of the time you don't want to use it even if you have it.
Also both have the passive of showing local specialties.
-both looks like femboys-
I was kind of expecting Nilou’s sword to be included but I was relieved when it was not included
This video just made me realize that I have a lot of terrible 5 star weapons on my account 💀
The Redhorn and Beacon of the Reed Sea are my favorite signature weapons. Was glad to see them not on this list.
Beacon of the Reed Sea is arguably the best claymore in the game, and since there are not many good claymores, Redhorn is considered good too, sometimes even outperforming Wolf's Gravestone on non-DEF scaling characters.
Lol, look at monohydro team now which have Furina, Yelan, Kazuha, and ON-FIELD KOKOMI (with the DONUT) as Yelan's driver
Besides Yae there are a couple that can use it to a good degree:
Lisa can and will use it to great effect as she can easily trigger it for her huge E nuke.
*Lyney
Havent watched the video yet but i cant believe you put the beacon of the red sea at the bottom
I literally had to look up after you said Lyney was in the standard banner, thought I forgot they added him but he's indeed limited
What’s crazy is Ganyu teams always have at least 1 cryo unit either Layla or diona for shield and then Shenhe for boost which is kinda good having only 1 extra cryo is still a good thing
seeing this once navia dropped makes me giggle at the fact the unforged is actually quite good on her XD
I'll admit i simped for eula so hard shes the only character i specifically summoned on her weapon for and i dont regret it lol
It's kind of funny that with Navia's future release, the Unforged might actually work well on her!
NO ONE.
Good thing I got Furina's weapon with only one 10x pull. Didn't have to suffer from getting Baizhu's weapon
How is Jadefall even awful on him? Sac Frags works well on Hybrid builds but even then, you're kinda gimped a little on HP and Energy.
My absolute favorite weapons are: obvoiusly Staff of Homa, Engulfing Lightning, Thundering pulse, Everlasting Moonglow and a thousand floating dreams
Butttt, I love my girl Kokomi, so I'm gonna try and get it on her next banner along with her c4 (she's c3 atm)
damn you must not have a lot of limited 5 stars if you'r f2p with c3 kokomi haha
Why do all the worst 5 star weapons look so good? Vortex Vanquisher is to this day the best looking weapon in the game for me.
I'd argue Furina's weapon is even more niche than Kagura's Verity and The First Great Magic
I think her weapon can be used by lot of character with only the passive are locked by furina
@@ashrafhakim379 as a stat stick? Yes. But the passive does not fully work or synergize well with anyone else
Plus we likely won't see her for another year unless something changes for Physical characters.
bad weapon: can only be used by the character it matches with best
worse weapon: even the character it matches with best doesn't bother to use it
The way I have the two thumbnail weapons at r2 💀
you can use mikos signature on Wanderer by pressing his skill twice in the very beginning of the rotation and then press it again after the set up for him to fly up
Kokomi take is a bit dated.
To be fair to Song of Broken Pines, Serpent Spine is kind of cope without Zhongli. And the best Eula/Razor/Freminet teams don't want Zhongli.
lyney's bow on tighnari is great. considering his own signature bow is unlikely to even come back.
tighnari, raiden/yae, kirara, x dendro
As a Kokomi donut haver, prototype amber is just a better weapon for Kokomi. The energy recharge and additional healing with Furina is big difference between the 2 weapons
I still pulled on furina's weapon banner as my first time pulling on the weapon banner and I got her weapon as my first five star on the weapon banner so I thankfully didn't get fucked
Went for Furina's weapon because I got Baizhu too, won the 50/50 although was also happy to lose it
Summit Shaper is not Albedo's signature.
